Very rude receptionist on the phone. Do not recommend if your looking for somewhere friendly.

We've been going to this practice for over 10 years and highly recommend it.Dr. Marrow, Dr. Powers, the techs, and front desk staff are all top notch, are great about talking through care options, and addressing urgent and emergent needs as they arise.

Great Doctors and vet techs

The only reason I’m giving 3 stars is because Dr. David is amazing. He has saved my dog from dying. I can’t believe that I took my dog really sick and Dr. Morrow, she just gave him a week with medicine. She ran a test and her pancreas was 450!! A normal pancreas is 200!! The next week, we called because the dog was still sick or worse. She just said, change food. C’mom!! So, as I knew my dog was dying and this wasn’t helping, we decided to take him to Dr. David. He ran the same test and my dog's pancreas was 655!!!!! Thank you Dr. David for saving his life. Please, do not send your animals with Dr. Morrow!!!!

My family and I have been using Dr. Powers since 1988. He is the absolute best Vet in the area. So wonderful that my immediate family travels an hour to for Vet appointments with their pets. He has taken amazing care of all of our family pets. Dr. Powers is able to determine with minimally invasive techniques the majority of our pets ailments. When needed he will send us to a specialty vet and ensure while under their care that our pets are receiving the appropriate treatments. Dr. Powers and the staff at Southside Animal Hospital have been with us through the fun puppy phase to the hard ache of losing our pets. He handles all of the situations with class and provides the moral support when needed. Dr. Marrow was a great addition to the Southside Animal Hospital family and is equally as great as Dr. Powers.

Vets are compassionate and thorough. I've gone here for years and trust dr powers and morrow with the health of my fur babies.

We have been taking our pets here for over 10 years. Even after moving 30 minutes away, we still choose to come here.

I rarely leave bad reviews, but this place really let me down. My small dog got stung by multiple hornets after we stumbled upon a nest that had fallen from a tree. He was swelling up terribly, especially in his face. I remained calm but quickly took him to the closest vet, which was this "animal hospital". Upon arriving, the employee working the desk saw my dog and heard my story and turned me away because i wasn't a regular client. She told me to go to an animal ER which was, at the time, about 45 mins to an hour away with traffic. I didn't argue and just left. I went to the next vet up the road, Old Towne Vet Clinic, which is not labeled as a hospital, and they just gave him an antihistamine shot along with some other meds. Took 10 mins of their day, even though I wasn't scheduled. So, in my experience with this place, they are labeled as a hospital which is misleading, and obviously aren't terribly caring people if they turned away someone in need who simply needed K9 antihistamines, and was willing to pay basically anything at that point for them...Disappointing.

Doctor and assistant are nice

We have used SAH for several years. Dr. Powers, Dr. Morrow and the entire staff are awesome. Charges are very reasonable. Highly recommend.

Took my Persian to this vet yesterday, we are from out of state, and my cat wound up having a real bad u t i infection,blood pouring out of him, and they wouldn't take him on, oh if you aren't in our system i don't really know what to do.....they really showed they didn't want us there, so we called around and took him to older town veterinary clinic, and that wonderful doctor fixed my sick monster....i wouldn't give them ANY stars, but it won't let me do that!...the get even came out to get a dog, and she didn't even acknowledge us!!!!...terrible place, with terrible employees!... and a doctor who isn't interested in helping animals at all.....unless they are already in her system....blood doesn't matter to them!!!!!

Love this place! Our dogs see Dr.Morrow and she is knowledgeable, so nice and she takes great care of my pups. She impressed me from the get-go when she called me while she was away at a conference to walk me through a dental procedure my dog needed. All the techs and receptionists are great, too. We were referred by a friend and we will definitely refer others!

Friendly and courteous staff. It's a small operation so you need to make an appointment.

We have been going to Southside since it opened. Dr Powers has been the best, most caring, vets we have ever encountered. Once he met us at the office after hours when our dog was having seizures. He also did a a house call when another dog got involved with a rabid raccoon and needed a booster shot. Both vets there, and the vet techs, really seem to love our animals and care about their welfare.
