We think of Dominion Hospital as family. Been coming since 1999 for our first cat Frankie, then Shea, and now Snoopy

They were on time so our dog didn't have time to get to nervous.

Always have been professional and diagnosis of pet ailments have been helpful especially my shin tsu who had a very serious eye problem.

My family and I have been taking our pets to Dominion Animal Hospital for over 30 years. While the staff has changed, the compassionate and quality care has remained great. Definitely recommend to anyone who wants thorough care for their fur babies.

The entire staff was friendly and professional. They said all of the right things about my kittens, I.e. well-behaved, beautiful, and cute. When it was shot time, they were gentle and quick. This is why I came back to Dominion Hospital when I was ready to have cats again.

We are a new client but we were treated like we had been a client for years. SO welcoming - they retrieved our records from our old vet and took the time prior to our appointment to familiarize themselves with Koda's history. They took the time to explain everything and found issues with Koda that we were unaware of. I felt no pressure to get all vaccines at the same appointment - they understood my concerns - and answered all my questions. We are very happy and look forward to being clients for the remainder of Koda's life. Thank you for everything!

The attentive and engaged veterinarians at Dominion certainly provide quality care. That said, the staff constantly tries to upsell you on additional services that are usually unnecessary and always overpriced. They’ve done my dog’s yearly checkup for 3-4 years now, and I’m satisfied with their attention to detail and overall bedside manner.

All three of my cats and my puppy have been treated here. We can usually get quick appointments when they are ill, they are creative when it comes to finding solutions for tricky medical issues, and they have a wonderful bedside manner.

They take great care of our Lucky dog, consistently for many years.

Wonderful follow up with blood test results and inquiring about my dog’s condition following his visit. The vets are genuinely concerned about my dogs health.

Very responsive with last minute request for subq fluids. Was not able to complete at home necessitating a vet tech visit.

The were so sweet and gentle with our 15 yearl old puppy!

Great vet practice. We've been bringing our dogs here for years. All of the vets are very good--we see whoever is available. When it was time to euthanize one of our dogs (cancer), they were stellar--brought us back to the room with no waiting (room was already prepped with a soft blanket, tissues etc). They gave us as much time as we needed, had choices for burial, cremation etc. The prices seem reasonable. I think they just started something new where you can make an appt with a vet tech if it is a simpler issue. We haven’t had a chance to try this yet

It was my first time going. I’ll be going here from now on, the other local vets don’t compare

We changed vets about six months ago. We are so happy with our decision! Dominion is the best. The staff taking phone calls could not been more helpful and comforting. And the doctors take time with explanations and options.

I’ve been taking both my labradoodle and Havanese to Dominion Animal Hospital since they were 4 and 6 months old. Every visit has been a great experience and I love that they offer wellness plans. They are super professional, nice, and take their time to make sure all your questions are answered. I’m thankful that to have a vet I can trust and depend on.

Its GOOD BUT from when I 1st use them to Now they are VERY EXPENSIVE.. I know they know their stuff but Prices are very HIGH.

Lovely hospital with prompt service and kind veterinarians.

My Papillon Cookie was having a really bad cough and Dominion was able to give me a prompt appointment. As soon as they checked him and diagnosed him, they treated him with a shot and meds. By the time he got home, he was not coughing as much anymore and he started to move around the house more. Dr. Short was amazing!

Great local business with professional and knowledgeable doctors and techs.

Staff was very sweet and was very nice to my nervous kittens. Tried their best to keep them calm, and answered my questions and provided great information for a new kitten owner!

Edit, Aug 2021: since my initial review, I can only confirm that this practice is a gem. Every single person, every single time is outstanding, I cannot praise their commitment and dedication highly enough. I say this as a cat owner, with my 3 aging kitties all needing special care on different levels - one of them gets his lifesaving chemo-pills here every month. Cats being nutcases when it comes to oral medication, it's safe to say that, without the super team at Dominion Animal Hospital, my kitty would probably no longer be with us... Lately, we have moved a little further out of the catchment area - well, from our cats' point of view, who aren't car enthusiasts; the trips from Ashburn to Herndon are a bit long. However, I just can't leave this team of animal professionals for a new, closer one. No way we could find anyone this caring and dedicated! THANK YOU <3 ####### Friendly, knowledgeable, dedicated staff. Very happy to have found them.

Best vet we’ve ever had for our two GSDs

We took our new puppy here and EVERYONE who we know in Herndon told us to use dominion animal hospital. We’ve had one appointment so far and we signed up for a puppy wellness plan, which seems like a great value. Great experience thus far!

Dominion Animal hospital staff ALWAYS treat my dog, Naomi, as there own., and take time to give information and answer questions!

My dog absolutely loves going to the vet! The staff is helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable. Everyone there treats the animals they see as part of the family, which makes it easy to trust them with my pup. The office is fast to respond to questions and appointment scheduling. Confirmation emails are sent out beforehand to confirm your appointment in the upcoming week. Parking can occasionally be difficult at the office during peak hours since they're located in downtown Herndon. I would highly recommend Dominion Animal Hospital to anyone!

Great people. They treat the animals like family. Very happy with my choice. Wellness plan reasonably priced as well. We ended up moving to McLean and I’ve decided to stay with dominion as my vet.

Over the years every time we have taken any of our animals they service is always friendly and professional. We are very grateful.
