So thankful for the staff here that took amazing care of our very sick boy. Every call/update was incredibly thorough, offering multiple options for next steps.

My dog was the smartest and kindness dog there was. We couldn't afford the $1000+ bill they offered us to put him to sleep....brings me to tears just writing this....don't don't bring your injured or dying pet here they will just CAPITALIZE …

Dr Donahue was great she took my little dog under her wing to make sure he was ok. She followed up with me and that was very important. The wait time was a little hard but i know vets are very limited .

We recently had our cat fall ill extremely severely and quickly. Unfortunately, we were not at home when it started and when we arrived home that evening she was in the process of passing. We were with her that night and expected her to pass. The next day as the hours went on she started to exhibit signs she was in pain and she was still holding on. We called VVC and they said to bring her in. My husband and Dad did this. They said that the staff was so caring and compassionate. They took very good care of Isla and she was not scared at all. Her passing was peaceful and painless. We can't thank the Doctors and staff enough for this. They exited through another door, so they didn't have to walk through the waiting room with empty hands. This was very thoughtful. They placed Isla into a beautiful box that even had some colored tissue paper as a blanket. She looked like she was just sleeping. It was remarkable how sick she looked that last day and how peaceful she looked in death. They brought her out to the car privately. It has been heartbreaking to go through this but our family is all so grateful to VVC. Since this is a review I do also want to mention the cost. (That didn't matter to us) For an emergency and to be seen immediately we expected the cost about double what it ended up to be. We highly recommend VVC at Central Park (Located behind Barnes and Noble)

Starting from the front desk staff to the Dr everyone was very nice and helpful to get us the help we needed for Snoopy. Thank you. The time they took to check Snoopy to give us some clearance and peace of mind on what was going on with him.

We are truly appreciative of everything that the Fredericksburg office of VVC have done for our pet cat Lucy. It gives us peace of mind knowing there is somewhere we can take our pets after hours where they will get great care and attention from the dedicated staff and doctors. From the front desk to the vets, they truly care about providing the best care and appropriate attention to your pet. We really appreciate the clear and detailed treatment plans provided, as when you are under stress it is hard to remember everything. Our current vet doesn't let pet owners come into the facility anymore and that adversely affects communication. My wife and I are thrilled to have a quality organization like this nearby. Keep up your dedicated service to our beloved pets!

Kind, quick acting, and extremely thorough. Our poor girl suffered a seizure and they got her in right away and explained our options without any pressure. So thankful for this place. You hate to say I don't want to go back, but if we have to, this is where we will take our animals.

We sadly had to say goodbye to our baby girl, Elsy. We were taken care of and we were given the time and privacy to say goodbye. She was cremated and came home today. She was put in a beautiful box and with Her paw print. ❤️ They really took care of her and our family during this difficult time.

Brought my dog in on Christmas for distended stomach. They xrayed and said it was food bloat. I now have to put my dog to sleep for massive internal bleeding that could've been caught on Christmas day. Major lack of attention by Fredericksburg VVC.

The staff at VVC (Samantha Blake and team) has always taken fantastic care of our Bella for physical therapy we are so grateful that they help with her weak back and keep her moving at her old age. Thank you all for everything!

On Dec.17, 2021 I had to take my little girl Cora to the emergency vet because she was having seizures. She had been diagnosed with meningitis the previous day but with medication she should okay. She started having seizures at four o’clock, made the decision to get her to the vet emergency. When I got her there they took her right back and started anti seizure medication. About an hour later she was just laying on the exam table breathing but no response to my calling or petting her. After talking to Dr. Beard made the decision to put her down. Hard decision but for Cora the best decision. Dr. Beard the emergency room vet and the staff working that night were extremely good and respectful. Would take my animals again if I needed to.

The absolute worst service you could ever ask for. They give no updates after you check in. Was the first to check in and was one hour before I talked to anyone. Poor service

My 2 dogs have been seen here for physical therapy by Samantha. I HIGHLY recommend her!!! She is not only kind, caring and passionate, you can see the love she has for your 4 legged family member! Cost is not a factor for us because our dogs are FAMILY members. Just remember you get what you pay for!!

Very friendly and helpful. It was very obvious they all work there because they love animals.

Wait time is insaine. Over 3 hours to check in our pet as a transfer. 2 hours wait for just a chat and over an hour just to write up the bill. Really sucks having to deal with getting jerked around while also dealing with the stress of an unwell pet. If ya can go elsewhere. Only plus is the vet is nice.

Called up there last night needing help for my dog was told they couldn't help me no vet was there. I'm sorry your an emergency vet what do you mean you don't have a vet. Then asked well your a vet tech can you give me any advice on what to do or please let me bring him in to make him comfortable was told no we can't do that. Results in your lack of compassion for someone pleading for help that their dog was in very poor conditions is my sweet boy passed away last night on the way to the only vet we could find. Well then your receptionist should be fired if you had a vet on site as you stated in your response! We were point blank told there was no vet on site and I clearly stated how bad of shape my dog was in and he wouldn't make it to another emergency vet over and hour away. We called the emergency vet hospital in central park va so no I didn't call another location I know exactly where we called. I do not wish to speak to anyone on the phone as that isn't going to take away the grief of losing my dog due to your lack of compassion.

They no longer care about my cat after taking my $$$. They prescribed food that doesn't exist and refuse to correct that. Overpriced, takes too long, weekday receptionist could care less. Girl working tonight, Nov 9th, hung up on me and I was being understanding and nice considering the situation I am in. My vet said call VVC for updated prescription. VVC says not their problem (at least on 9 Nov). I guess I need to come in to waste more $$. Emily is awesome though.

they treated me and my pet with so much compassion. they drove my pet to a vet hospital an hour away when they didn't have a medication he needed. no additional fee for a two hour round trip. kind, realistic and very supportive.

Everyone was helpful and professional. Thank you for showing me real concern & compassion. It was a long night. I can say it was a good experience. The Veterinarian was kind and informative. The vet techs helpful and seemed to know their stuff. Iam heading home with my dog River, hoping to see a healthy improvement. Thank you!

This being a third time I have had to go to them for different pets. This one was just great! In and out, LITERALLY! Normally I expect to have to wait for about 2 hours for emergency services. I have even called them in the middle of the night just for questions because I was panicked or unsure and I live in Culpeper. But this time I was pet sitting and poor old man ended up having a cleanly broken nail that just kept bleeding. He wouldn’t let me touch it so I could even find out why he was bleeding (not that any place are open for me to get styptic powder), the owners asked me to go ahead and bring him in. I gladly took him in and was in and out with in 20-25 minutes. Thank you all so much again for making my night easier! You all really are a blessing. The staff has always been sweet and kind to me, even on my crazy 3 am calls panicking.

We had an incident with our cats tail on Sunday, which resulted in the last few inches needing to be amputated. From the second we called in a panic, and got our kitty in the door the staff was extremely accommodating and caring! I could not have asked for a better experience during our traumatic event.

The WORST absolute worst experience. Would like to start on why the visit. Came home from work and my dog was bleeding from his mouth extremely bad. So we rush to the vet. We get there I need help getting Zeus my dog out a man and woman help being he is 110 pounds with hip problems. We walk him in bleeding everywhere. I ask if they wanted to muzzle him they said no he is fine matter as fact was told he was a sweet boy during but at the end of the visit. So to walk in the door it’s $115 to evaluate and when they seen him they asked about pain medication and I agreed to it $62. They came back to me and said it would be $1229 to take care of my dog. In no way could we afford that so I asked about just taking care of the tongue so he would stop bleeding. She left out came back in with another estimate of $979 which once again we can’t afford. So they offered 3 prescriptions antibiotic pain and something to stop the bleeding. Pain $35 Antibiotic $35 Bleeding medicine $40 I agree to the $40 and said I would get the other one filled. At checkout so ask questions one being what his tongue looked like they didn’t know because they never looked at it so 340 dollars and we were out the door his mouth still bleeding bad my wife called to ask questions and they said never looked inside his mouth because he was growling and aggressive note they called him a sweet boy and never got muzzle Absolute joke

Great place to take your pup, especially if you need a second opinion before surgery. Our English mastiff needed major surgery early in her life, and the Dr and staff here were amazing with her. She had the surgery which went beautifully and she even went through PT to get her back to normal. Amazing what they can do for your animals and very grateful dog mom over here!

Website shows this office is open 7pm-7am Monday through Friday when I called there was a voice-mail stating the office was closed. Update your website or shut the doors. Or get staff that will do the job and be there when it states your emergency hours are I pray my Captain Howdy makes it to see his personal vet in the morning

Great people who really care. Saved my Bella after she ingested xylitol in gum she must have picked up on a walk. Scary night with her becoming hypoglycemic. However, capable Vet and Staff helped to stabilize her quickly and send her home with common sense instructions on how to care for her. She slept through the night (see picture) and is rallying now. FIVE STAR CARE! Quick, caring, thoughtful and knowledgeable. Not the scary kind of emergency care where they take your animal and you don't hear anything for hours....VERY GRATEFUL FOR THESE FOLKS.

First time needing emergency services for one of our dogs. We arrived and the staff there was very caring to our dog and us. They were more attentive than some private vets I have been to in the past. I was very impressed to seeing we weren't just another number, they actually cared.Thank you to the staff there!

We waited 5 hours and decided to leave. We never had a doctor check up on our dog. We weren’t even assigned a room to stay in. We were the first to be there before they were busy. They gave the patients after us a room. I understand if a patient is badly injured, however some families who didn’t have pets in critical condition still had a room. Not sure if it’s because they’re white, but it felt pretty unfair that my family had to stay in the waiting room and never got checked up on. Also, THEY ONLY HAVE ONE DOCTOR. For an emergency clinic, you guys need to have multiple. My dog is still hurt.

To Stephanie at the front desk, Claire, and Dr. Beard. Thank you so much for all that you have done for Biscuit. He was such a sweet and loving dog. You made him comfortable and did everything you possibly could for him. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

My dog needed care and I was told the wait would be 3 to 4 hours. I was okay with that. After they triaged my dog they I formed me that the expected wait time would now be 6 to 8 hours. After being told about the extended wait, I get a call an hour later. No message left so I call back. They said they just wanted to see if I left the parking lot. They have since taken my dog off the wait list. Not very pleased and I feel like we were brushed off. My dog still needs care.

My dog was in pain and I took her to VVC. The staff was helpful and knowledgeable. We ended up waiting 5plus hours to get my dog seen by a vet and out of there. I understand they have to see the most critical first, but there has to be a better way to get others out in a more timely manner
