We recently switched to SAH from a large practice. We were looking for more personal, individualized care with expert advice and care. Since switching our dog has received excellent care from Dr. Taddeo and her staff. The process of scheduling appointments, bringing our dog in and getting care is seamless. I have complete trust in her and know that my dog is getting the best care/treatment. Highly recommend !

Dr. Taddeo and the entire team are incredibly caring and dedicated. I recently lost my beloved pup and they helped me figure out her illness by working with a specialist. The entire team showered my pup with love at each of her visits. I will definitely be bringing my next furry family member to Sully Animal Hospital.

I have been a patience for more than five years and can only say great things about Sully Animal Hospital, great communication and very professional service. I can't thank enough dr. Brenda Taddeo and the technicians for taking care of and helping me out with my little one.

We consistently receive amazing care from everyone at Sully Animal Hospital. Their staff is always courteous, kind and efficient and we just love our vet. She makes us feel like family and always takes the time to explain everything to us in terms we can understand. Everyone at Sully Animal Hospital has a genuine care and concern for all animals and we are so grateful that we found them.

Basically, they either forgot to install the microchip or installed a malfunction chip, and when my dog arrived to the international destination he had to quarantine for two weeks (in brick a in door/outdoor kennel) because chip was unidentifiable and neither the rabies shot was tagged correctly. Poor judgment. Poor service. They didn’t even bother to apologize.

This is a difficult review for me to write. The staff at Sully are so nice and complimentary. They are gentle with my dogs and always speak professionally - unfortunately, they have made one too many mistakes for me to continue going there. Several months ago, my dog's feces was very dark, almost black. I looked it up on-line and it said this indicates blood and I should see a vet immediately. I called Sully, and was told the vet "didn't have time." They recommended I ago to another pet hospital which I did. After several hundred dollars of antibiotics and an office call, my dear girl died the next day. She might have died anyway, but clearly the vet who didn't know her misdiagnosed her. That's why people trust their own vets - - except my vet was too busy. A couple of weeks ago, I was going on vacation and arranged for my dogs to be kenneled. They required 4 vaccinations. I called Sully, and was told they had all of them except canine influenza. I immediately made an appointment and we got them their shots. When I went to drop off my dogs on Saturday before I departed to the airport, I was told one of my dogs did not have the Bordetella vaccine nor did it show anywhere on his record. What?! That can't be right, I take my dogs in regularly for their vaccines. I went over all the required vaccines with the staff. Both the kennel tried calling Sully and leaving messages. Unfortunately, they are closed on Saturday, even though their answering machine said they were open. Although they are super nice people, I no longer trust them. Lessons I've learned from this experience. 1) Go with a vet with an advanced administration IT system. Humans can't remember everything. 2). Go with a practice with more than 1 or 2 vets on site. This way when one is behind, the other can "make the time" for an emergency. Hope this review helps you find a good vet.

I have taken Cooper here since he was 9 weeks old and they have always been professional and respectful. I sat by and watched as one of the staff was berated by a woman who did not want to wear a mask but wanted to accompany her dog inside and the staff kept her composure and adhered to the safety guidelines of the CDC. Good job, Sully! Don't let this ruin your day, many people are happy with your service.

My cat is a full bred Birman named Kiara with chronic health problems related to her digestive system since being a kitten. 150% indoor cat. We have not given her vaccinations for years. My other cat, Suzy got the her vaccinations that caused a deadly sarcoma on her hip (the injection site). Her leg had to be removed, underwent some chemo etc. Because of the location, they were unable to take any more 'margin' from her body. Even after chemo and radiation to save her, the tumor on her hip grew and grew. Finally burst open. She was 8 years old when we had to put her down last year that in spite of her being so bright and alive otherwise. It's one of the hardest things I've ever had to do. Though this practice had nothing to do with little Suzy's tumor, I will not ever get vaccinations of any kind on a strictly indoor cat. At this practice on our second visit I was told by the vet that I would need to fill out a county form with regard to getting a waiver from them stating we were exempt from having to get a rabies vaccination. I've NEVER been asked to do this. I explained why and that wasn't going to be good enough. So, we are finished with this practice. I won't be threatened with reporting me to an animal health agency to force me to comply with getting a vaccination. Unless this practice and the county are going to pay for and do the grieving and anguish we all went through with another cat with a tumor, it's not happening. This sarcoma is 100% deadly. Non-curable! In spite of what some vets will tell you, vaccinations of these types including rabies are the cause of this type of sarcoma. Animal medical researchers will back this up. They cannot rule out which vaccinations, rabies, distemper or FIV are the cause. Many vets will tell you different and minimize the risk. The County will tell you different because they are afraid of rabies outbreaks. If anyone reading this decides to have their cat vaccinated, I urge you to have them give the injection on a lower leg and never in the hip or the scruff/neck area. If the cat gets the sarcoma, at least they can remove the leg. Though the sarcoma is not a frequent occurrence with cats, having a completely indoor cat isn't worth the risk in putting a completely beautiful cat through what Suzy and our family had to endure when she had so much life left to enjoy for an even smaller likelihood of a cat that is completely indoor getting rabies. My son is still traumatized over her loss. Report away. Not happening to Kiara. Overall, I'm giving the practice a generous 2 based on the way they handled this issue.

They treated my baby Swagger like family and I am so happy that they helped Swagger when he needed help the most. Great prices and very professional but also makes you feel very comfortable, will recommend to my friends.

My husband and I had been taking our cats to this place for nearly two years until we decided enough was enough. Too many issues to list, but one major issue we ran into occurred when they took a blood sample from one of our cats and didn't tell us that they applied a bandage on her leg afterwards (it was not visible to us). The next day our cat's foot had swollen to double its size and she couldn't walk. Unaware of what was going on we took her back to Sully Animal Hospital where it was then discovered the swelling was caused by the bandage they had applied and failed to tell us about. The final straw was Dr. Taddeau advocating for switching our AAFCO-approved cat food for lower quality cat food that contains grain suggesting it would contain higher levels of taurine. This, to me, is misinformation. Taurine doesn't come from grain, it comes from meat, bone, and organs. Cats are obligate carnivores and not biologically designed to digest carbohydrates. Dr. Taddeau disagreed, but I find it concerning when "professionals" disagree with facts. Cat biology is not a matter of opinion, and her views are out of touch with mainstream understanding of feline nutrition and if enough people listened to her advice would harm cats, not heal them. We decided to change our vet to someone with a better understanding of cats and couldn't be happier.

The staff was accommodating right from the start. I had requested a time slot where there weren't many people around because my dog is "unpredictable." He had the whole place to himself for his annual checkup. We were in an out in about 35 minutes, with the bill paid too!

I can't say enough great things about Sully Animal Hospital. Time after time, they've come through for our pets, seeing them for regular checkups as well as the most worrisome of emergencies. And every time, they are all kind and professional, and show the utmost compassion and best care for our pets, from the front desk to the veterinary assistants to the vets. We feel so much better knowing our cat is in the best possible care!

We took our dog to an ER vet in South Riding with a leg sprain who subsequently diagnosed him with the K9 equalivent of an ACL tear. $1,100.00 dollars later, and with absolute confidence in their diagnosis they detailed the procedure and discussed scheduling. Rather than trust their judgement, I decided to bring our dog to Sully. The difference was glaring. The staff was so friendly and they clearly love animals, not as a business necessity, but as a genuine and sincere emotion. Anyway, the surgeon examined our dog, and called us to say that he did not need surgery; thus, saving us the approximate cost of $4,000 the other facility would have charged. I will only use Sully in the future. They are sincere in their concern about animals and honest in their business practices.
