Got our best friend from here Saw her pic on pet finder and knew she was the one for us. Process was easy and fun and we got to take her home quickly. We have had her for 10 years now. So lucky.

This place is a horrible place to deal with . I recommend if you want to find a animal friend please please go some where else. They ask for information about my vet I tell them and they say I'm lying. So I say Google and they still tell me I'm lying . This place has let me and my family down several times . We will never deal with this joke of a animal rescue again .

My family was fostering a 12 week old Shep (mix probably) in early August. Wilson (renamed Harley) stole our heart. We found out he had come from Puerto Rico days before I picked him up. After 2 weeks he went back to the rescue to be neutered. I informed the rescue that Harley had a stomach issue and it needed to be addressed. His stool was liquid and we tried everything to settle his stomach. Turns out this rescue sent us home with a VERY SICK puppy. Harley had Giardia and was put on meds. I talked to Elena Gowe who was the only person I had been dealing with. We were able to pick him up and were sent home with medicine. He had to take an antibiotic and was given medicine to take three weeks later. Elena texted me on a Monday telling me I needed to bring him back for neutering Tuesday. I live on the other side of the bridge. We were able to meet someone to transport him back to shelter. And that's the last day we saw him. I was sent a picture of our Harley curled up with Elena's boxer. A few days later, I texted asking how he was. I was told he was fine. We were told the shelter would contact us to finalize the adoption so we could bring Harley home. Nothing... I heard nothing. No one called, emailed or texted me. I texted Elena on Friday and Saturday with no response until Sunday. At that time, Elena informed me she was not involved in the day to day at the shelter. The rescue adopted Harley out to someone else. No one called me at all. Elena said she would have them contact me. Elena Gowe was the only person I spoke to through the entire process. No one said anything about the policies at all. I'm calling the Humane Society and filing a complaint against the rescue. And that's where I will start. She had no business arranging for us to foster Harley. We invested in him and made purchases for him coming home to us. Elena Gowe misrepresented the rescue and her capacity to act on their behalf. I now have to explain to my daughter that Harley isn't coming home. DO NOT ADOPT FROM THIS SHELTER!!! DON'T LET THEM DO THIS TO YOU

We took home the most loving, friendly best dispositioned hound dog ever, Miss Lacey-Mae (formerly Millie) from Baywater Animal Rescue. We will be forever grateful to Baywater for saving this darling dog from certain death in Kentucky.

Wonderful people here. Needed help myself last year with cat food and they gave willingly if they had to give. Outside kitty's would have starved without them. Thank you for caring so much. Barb

Wonderful and caring place for animals waiting to be adopted. In addition they offer a dog/cat food pantry every Saturday to those that qualify. This is all made possible by donations.

My husband Wade and I adopted a most precious what we wish to call a Basenji named Sansa, now Ginger. The joy this little bundle has brought into our lives and the life of our Dachshund Daisy is immeasurable. We are so blessed to have her join our family and to shower her with lots of love❤️????????????

The staff are absolutely amazing and caring people. I just adopted the most beautiful Bishon /Poodle after they sent me an email with her picture. I immediately took the drive to see the dog and it was love at first sight!! I am so thankful that the staff took the time to find a dog that was the best fit for me. Now I'm the proud owner of the most beautiful dog whom at this minute is at the boutique getting all dolled up! Thank you Baywater Animal Rescue for bringing a lot of love into my life. I highly recommend this organization. ????

Baywater is an incredible little shelter. The staff are kind and you can tell they really care about their job and the animals. They offer a "trial" period with your adoptee just in case your new pet doesn't get along with others or it doesn't work out for any reason. Upon leaving the shelter with our dog they sent us with a crate, toys and a bag of dog food. We had an awesome experience there and can't wait to be able to adopt our next little baby from there! Don't forget to make donations too!

I love this place. Do not buy pets. Adoption is always the best way to find a new friend. These people do a lot with so little. It is a great place to find a new friend, or just get your cat and dog fix.

Baywater restored my faith in humanity. The care and attention they give all the animals is quite inspiring. The cats and dogs there have been through so much, and they are waiting for someone to come give them a forever home. Baywater is where we found Button. Please adopt and don’t shop! Stop into Baywater sometime to find your new companion and best friend. Trust me, you won’t be able to leave without finding a new friend or two.
