Wingmont Stables & Kennels Aylett, Virginia

My wife and I needed to go out of town for a funeral and had to board our dog for the first time. My parents have been using this kennel for decades so I knew that this is where we wanted her to stay. Now that they've watched after my good girl I can say 100% that my parents are justified in their consistent use of Wingmont Stables and Kennels for dog boarding. Not only did they post pictures of my dog on facebook, grind her nails better than I've been able to do in months, and tire her out, they made sure that she had FUN. I feel like I sent her to camp rather than a kennel, which is exactly what you want when you have to leave your furry bff for a few days. FYI they do stay pretty booked up, but that just speaks to how great they are (so if you're in the contemplation stage of booking a stay for your friend, go ahead and do it sooner rather than later) at keeping our loved ones safe and happy!

Willow had a wonderful time, spending 2 weeks at Wingmont. The love and care for animals is evident with every staff member. We will definitely reach out again when we need to be away and not able to take her. Thank you so much, and the FB package was well worth the additional cost; we enjoyed so much, following the fun she was having!

Wonderfully caring people. This was the first time we had left our dog anywhere. She seemed extremely happy and healthy when we came to pick her up. She is scheduled to return in August and I feel very comfortable about leaving her.

Wingmont Stables & Kennels is the definitive example of a camp for dogs. My dog was boarded there for three weeks and returned home a very relaxed and happy boy. Dogs are segregated according size, temperament and play style and they get a minimum of five times outside each day. Kennels are segregated according to barkers and timidity, among other factors, and each has its own attached run. There are many outside play yard options and the entire kennel appears very secure to avoid escapes. Staff are incredibly friendly and accommodating, and it's obvious they love their jobs. I can't recommend this place highly enough...

This place is more like a summer camp for dogs than a kennel!! We live in DC and drive a hour and a half(sometimes out of the way) to board our dogs here and have for years. I know some people feel bad when they have to leave their dogs... not here! Sometimes you feel bad picking them up.

We boarded our Dane for a week and we couldn't be more happy with their care they provided for her. We will utilize their services again when the need arises. A+++

Super happy with our experience so far. We experimented with taking our Golden, Amory, for an overnight and will definitely be taking him back for longer visits. Everyone was very cordial and they had no problem working with our schedule to let us drop off early and pick up a little late. Amory even came back to us with a cool little handkerchief adornment too. Keep up the great work guys!

I know my dogs get awesome care when we leave them there. 1mi before we get there our dogs become so excited and drag us in when we get there. Wouldn't have them go anywhere else.

I will not let my babies stay anywhere else. They come home tired and happy. I know the girls have loved them like their own!

Man what can I say about this place. Got a recommendation about boarding my dog here while on a mini vacation and was thoroughly impressed. The site is extra clean, the staff are very friendly, the pricing is more than fair, and the accommodations for your pet are nice. Heck you can even schedule a tour of the facility. My dog loved his mini vacation there and I will definitely recommend this place to anyone else looking to board their pets. Oh yeah they also board horses too. Check them out.
