I took my sheepdog to Fitzgerald for 14 years! They were always available, helpful, affordable and friendly. When she died, the entire staff sent me a beautiful card. Now that I have a new rescue pup, he literally LOVEs going to the vet here. Dr. Daley is one of his favorite people!

Great overall experience on all fronts. The receptionist Diane was empathetic when I called on a Friday morning and was able to fit my dog in for an ear infection appointment. Dr. Daly was through and personable. Highly recommend!

I have brought both my elderly cat with renal failure and my healthy younger cat and as a professional in animal care, I have been nothing but impressed. Lots of goodies on the first appointment for my younger one and lots of compassion and care In helping with my older cat in his final time. When my older cat was admitted here I could call them anytime and they were always happy to keep me updated and give him lots of love. Though it was very hard to lose a pet to age, they were so kind and helpful in making sure he was comfortable and that I got the time I needed with him to say goodbye. Waiting times can be a bit long since they do not allow you into the building due to Covid, but this is pretty standard with vet clinics at this time. The techs are attentive and compassionate and the doctors are kind and knowledgeable, highly recommended.

I've been bringing my dog dexter to Fitzgerald since I adopted him almost 10 years ago. Mostly really good service, they've improved communication with clients and always treat my pup great!

Fitzgerald is amazing, they helped my dog when she was having complications with her pregnancy. They actually cared about the wellbeing of my dog and one of the only Vets I know who didn't try to up charge us with all extra money costing services. I have changed them to my regular vet and they even sent me a welcome card in the mail, I'm super pleased with this place and excited for my dog to have them as her regular vet. Thank you for all you do.

I was in from out of town and my dog has allergies. They got him in within 2 hours gave him his shot and off we went. They even followed up with me the next day I was so happy with the service.

Dr. Gold is outstanding, as is the entire staff. They took and continue to take such good care of my rescue pup. They genuinely care and it shows.

DO NOT BRING YOUR ANIMAL HERE!!!! I had a HORRIFIC experience there yesterday!!!. I would never bring my cat to a VCA but out of absolute desperation I brought my neighbor's cat there for a paw problem as my vet wasn't taking any new clients due to Covid-19. First, they had me drop him off at 7:30 AM, they didn't even see him until 12:30! After 5 hours f the poor, elderly cat waiting to be seen and two phone calls to them answered by rude receptionists I finally got a call back from the vet. She was clearly young and inexperienced and rudely stated that my cat was low on the priority list which is why they took their time in getting to him. They charged me $495 (after a $60 coupon I brought in) for one brief haphazard exam (they forgot to weigh him and had to weigh him again when they realized they needed the weight to determine the dose for his medication), one steroid injection, one FIV test and one antibiotic injection. Additionally, they prescribed a medication they don't even carry in house that would cost $40 monthly (steep for my retired neighbor) and I had to call them back today just to get them to follow up on the RX as I had yet to hear anything about it from the front desk. All around awful practice. They handed me printed off google sheets on his diagnoses ( I had already found more informative material and printed it off for the cat's owner myself) and all but threw the carrier at me when I picked the kitty up. The vet tech had nothing to offer and said they would get in touch about his meds (they did not, I had to reach out). I literally never leave reviews but I think it is important to warn people against bringing their beloved pets here. They don't give a damn about your pet, the staff is inexperienced, rude and inefficient and all they care about is ripping you off.

I've always had positive experiences at my vet. They care about my animals, take the time to listen and follow up with you. My dog loves going here, she did puppy classes here and is so excited when we pull in. The staff always remark how much she wants scratches or to be loved on.

After being a client of Fitzgerald’s Veterinary Clinic for over 19 years, when the time came to provide our pet a graceful escape from her chronic pain the Fitzgerald staff’s greatest priority was making sure they had my correct credit card information for the services to be rendered. Not the distress in my voice, not my 12 year-old crying in the background, not the condition of my pet: compensation trumped compassion. I fully understand that they are providing a service and should be compensated for that service, that was not the issue. It was their attitude and the priority they placed upon that compensation in this specific situation. If you are seeking a new vet, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere to find a doctor/facility that puts the priority on you and your pet. Short of picking up my pet’s ashes I will never step foot inside their building again.

I'm sitting outside waiting for them to run blood work on my feverish dog. He's not a regular here but when I got home from work and found my dog unexpectedly sick with an abscess on his chest I called his usual vet but the front desk told me they were scheduling a few days out. Not really the response I was hoping for. I saw that Fitzgerald was still open and they were able to take him immediately.

I’ve been bringing my dogs to Fitzgaralds for years now. I trust them, their opinions and their treatment(s) We used to go to the Milton Vet because it’s convenient and close to home, but we’ve found they’re almost double the price that Fitzgeralds is and back in 2013 they misdiagnosed a HUGE infection in my pugs eye which forced me to look for a new vet and get a second opinion. However, by that time it was to late. Fitzgeralds did catch the infection before it spread to his other eye, however we did end up having to remove his left eye. Then, shortly after he got cataracts in his right eye and went completely blind. I was devastated to say the least. Although he bounced back, and went about his life as if he had two good eyes, I’ll never forgive Milton for causing the amount of pain and suffering we went through. We’re so grateful to Fitzgerald’s for everything they’ve done for us during that incident and all the other procedures, and surgeries they did on my pup to keep him happy and healthy. When I lost my baby in April of 2017 to epilepsy I was, and always will be heartbroken. One specific day I’ll NEVER FORGET. I called Fitzgerald’s 3 minutes before they closed crying because my pug was having cluster seizures and nothing I was trained for was working, for the first time, I couldn’t get him to come out of it. At this time we lived about 30-35 minutes away, and they stayed open just to get us in, that kind of customer service just doesn’t happen. As soon as we arrived, they gave him a shot of medicine which stopped the seizures immediately, they took him out back where they placed him in the oxygen cage. They kept him there all night to monitor him. The next morning they sat down with us and gave us a couple options, none of them were good and unfortunately, that next day I lost him ???? But I truly believe they did everything they could to get him breathing on his own and to give me one more day with him. I’ll forever be grateful to them for the years and years they’ve gone above and beyond! I recommend them to anyone and everyone looking for a good vet who puts you and you’re animals first, before the money!! Great job Fitzgerald’s Veterinary hospital! Thank you for all you continue to do for our fur babies! We’ll see you soon for Maylees next check up ????

Everyone is so nice and professional. We have two dogs and they lump them in one appointment for yearly things to minimize confusion and it really helps with keeping track of them. The dogs love going and are never scared because they are so kind.

I have used this vet hospital for over 20 yrs. The staff is very knowledgeable and extremely friendly. I love the great care my dog receives every time we visit. I adore my dog and do what I can to keep her happy and healthy. My only issue is the extreme cost of the visit. I could not believe it when I saw I was charged for poop disposal. I will continue visiting here due to the great care for my dog.

I would not take my cat blue anywhere else, Dr Faul saved my cat's life. We have been going to Fitzgerald's for years..they are kind and compassionate. As for the complaining folks here..do not have a pet if you can't afford to take care of it properly. Fitzgerald's always does what is best for my pets and tells it like it is...which is the way it should be. Its about what's best for them..not how YOU feel..

This place has a serious disconnect between the front of the house and the back. Put it this way, if it was a restaurant you would’ve walked out. On 3 separate occasions my “wife” was forgotten about either in the waiting room (when she was the only one there) and in the examination room for an hour without a Dr ever coming in. Our cat came home last night smelling from head to toe of urine. He was groggy and stumbling around. His fluids had seeped down to his right shoulder and elbow. Thing is when we spoke to them the next day they said they never sedated the cat. So why is he stumbling around? You can’t clean our cat up before he comes home? We were warned not to use this Vet and now we see why. Needless to say that is the last time we are ever taking our cat to them. Spend the extra time and go to the Vet in Hinesburg where I’ve never had an issue with our dog. Convenience doesn’t always pay off.

Dr. Jennifer Faul has been taking care of our dog for years, and we have been taking our pets here over 20 years. We got our current dog as a rescue puppy from here and we have even boarded him there on a trip. They helped coordinate care for our dog when he was very sick a few years ago with Peak Vet Hospital until he was recovered. Highly recommend these folks for your pet.
