Went looking for a cat for my daughter. Staff was friendly and helpful.

We actually got the cutest, friendliest cat ever and kept his name. Steve.

I got a wonderful dog named Gemini she is really well behaved and the staff was fantastic. I know they have a ton on their plate but they did an amazing job finding Gem a good home. ********* I Lost my cat not to long ago and they have been helping me find him. This place is truly amazing. They have helped my find forever pets along with helping me find lost pets Love you guys

I volunteer here and the staff is absolutely amazing not to mention all the adorable, friendly four legged friends ready to get a forever home!

What a joke of a place. The only explanation is its ran by a bunch of 12 year old incompetent kids. They don't answer their phone, they don't email you back, they don't allow you to see their animals. Why are they even in business? Pathetic place.

This shelter is organized and has a very friendly staff. I have yet to adopt an animal from here, but the search continues. Hopefully, I'll find a friend for my dog when I start volunteering at this location. ❤ Update (2years later after posting first review): So, this shelter never got back to me about volunteering. I don’t think they’re as organized as I thought they were, but maybe organized enough to operate… I’ve never adopted an animal there but I have retrieved lost family pets and the experience was just fine.

They have a awesome animal control guy i cant rember his name.. He was so paient bout a dog in are neighborhood that kept making him chase the dog all over never once got mad and just was very calm.. Good guy.. He was even going to try and secure the dog instead of take him with

I went in looking to adopt a dog and the lady at the front desk acted like I was asking to look through their personal records. She said I could only view the dogs online and couldn’t meet them. The website only has one picture of the dogs (sometimes it’s not even a clear picture) and no description. It’s pretty difficult to decide on a dog without any knowledge of the temperament or how the dog acts. This shelter doesn’t seem to care about getting the dogs adopted, it’s really sad. Update: I was able to get a really good dog from there, they had a lot of good ones and it was hard to decide. It’s still difficult to get an appointment, but once you are able to do that. The adoption process goes pretty painlessly. If you have the time and can come in during their small window of adoption hours, it is pretty nice.

We have adopted two cats and are good kitties. They are no kill and they take very good care of their animals. Please think about adopting.

We are so impressed with this shelter and especially Tess!! We got to our appointment to see a dog we really wanted and someone was adopting her at that point and we were heartbroken. Tess showed us another dog that we fell in love with but we had to wait to see if the owner would claim her. Tess kept us informed and let us know when the 7 days was up and no one had claimed her. We went right down and met her and she was a perfect fit for us!! We are so excited with our new baby!! Tess is so wonderful and really kept her word and made this happen for us. We are so grateful!!

They never answer ever answers! I was seriously calling since 2pm for my dog to see if she was there and later came to find out 6 hours later that she was there through a post they have posted later that day. Horrible service. I could of saved myself 6 hours of searching if they would of simply answered the phone.

They steal people’s pets and illegally rehomed them

They were wonderful They were great I had to put my German shepherd down And they were really really helpful thank you.

They say you need to make an appointment, but there is no way online to make one. They don't answer their phones and they don't get back to you when you inquire about an animal. My mom filled out an application online but they ended up transferring the puppy to the humane society without even reviewing her application. It smells in the front entrance because of the rabbits.

People here always nice and friendly they help me with all the information I need for my dog and cat !!

We really appreciate the outstanding animal control field officers at West Valley Animal Services. Cesar is very professional and dedicated to rescuing animals in our community. He takes time to talk with residents and follows through with clear communication to quickly resolve issues.

Still not open except appointment because of Covid;(!

Never answer their phone when they are open, lady on the phone is extremely rude when she does answer, I walk in and it’s complete attitude towards me and I don’t feel welcomed. The workers however do try their best to their capability to ensure all animals are safe/comforted, fed, and watered. Kudos to them!

Easy to get my dog registered

Good place to help stop local over-breeding of cats by getting them clipped.

Very nice and very helpful gave lots of info and answered any questions i had.

Cant answer their phones for emergency services or information but yet has the power to issue citations.Place needs new employees asap.

Customer service here is trash. Employees are heartless zombies.

The Staff is very friendly and helpful. Due to COVID-19 they are by appointment only. So call ahead.

Ridiculous that they are closed on the weekends, some of us work during the week day, until 7 pm????

Doesn't miss the opportunity to issue a citation or fee but can’t ever manage to pick up their phone or check their voicemails.
