Love the staff always helpful ! It's so awesome seeing Roadblock ! He's a cutie !

Asked for a single large cricket for my black widow today, but a little Filipina girl told me “No, you’re getting five”. I had to explain that I asked only for one for a reason, as my spider can only eat one, and she got an attitude for some reason, saying “well you’re getting two!” I whatever’d, however I noticed one was medium, the other large, and both were dead. I have never had a problem with employees before until now, not sure if this is the direction of the new owner, but this was very cringe experience for me.

Rockstar pets is a great "Mom n' Pops" style pet shop. It has a wide variety of animals and the staff appears to be knowledgeable on most subjects. The rating given is due the semi-disorganized feel that the store has upon entry. However, having a free-roaming tortoise named Roadblock is pretty fantastic.

What's irritating is that this is the only place in tooele to get live bugs for your animals - And they know it. Over the years the pricing has gone up with everything and when covid hit everyone seemed so angry and upset and now that feeling for me hasn't gone away. ????

We were interested in buying a bunny and wanted to hold it but the cashier said you needed to be 18 to even pet it!!!

They are open Sundays. They had water/food bowls that attach to the kennel. A small store that likely has what you need and if not, they are very knowledgeable and can point you in the right direction. What I didn't understand. A giant tortoise roaming around the air conditioned store to just kinda defecate about. It got me thinking about pets in general. I think some animals are domesticated, and some belong in the wild.

Really amazing pet store by far. I love the staff, and that have a huge tortious named Roadblock. I love him dearly. He just walks around the store ????

The only pet store in town so they get a lot of business. The staff are hit or miss. Some are really kind and know their stuff. Others just don't. It has a smell to the store. Like it's not always cleaned properly. It's fun to see the tortoise and they are pretty well stocked for their size.

Personally thought the staff was a bit dismissive and rude. Aquarium section was lacking, and very dirty. Overall could be much better but the store was dirty.

Fascinating place. The staff is friendly and glad to answer questions for the buyer as well as to the curious. The roaming tortoise was a surprising bonus.
