Love taking my dog to this place they groom him so cute and he gets a cookie after all of his haircuts ???? not to mention the business is adorable and the service is top notch.

I’m just a little frustrated at this groomer. I have a labradoodle, who is just under a year old. Her hair is very susceptible to matting, which is something I’m very sensitive too. Back in November, I called to get her scheduled for a grooming appointment. I work 9-6 Monday through Friday, so workdays can be hard to get my dog groomed. Paw by Paw let me know that the soonest they could see her would be January 1. They have groomed Dixie before, and did a good job, so I was okay with this. In the meantime, I attempted everything in my power to manage her coat and prevent matting. Prior to our appointment on January 1, Paw by Paw let me know that their Saturday groomer quit, and that they wouldn’t be able to honor my appointment. They offered to groom my dog on January 3, but my work schedule wouldn’t allow it. I begrudgingly rescheduled for January 13, my next weekday off. Prior to my second appointment, I received a voicemail, telling me that they needed to reschedule again. I called and begged for them to try and fit my dog in on the 13th, because I knew her coat was bad, and wanted to get her taken care of ASAP. One groomer made the exception to add my dog to her already overwhelmed schedule, for which I am extremely grateful. Luckily the appointment went through, and I dropped the dog off to get groomed. When I came to pick my dog up, I was asked to review and sign a form, going over the severe consequences that matting can cause in dogs. It felt like I was being lectured. I now feel like my ability to care for my dog has been called into question. I understand and respect paw by paw’s position in asking me to read this. I know that especially in this case, where the matting was bad, they were likely concerned about my dogs well being. I want to feel like this was a teaching moment, and I want to appreciate this grooming facility for caring about the dogs that they see. My sticking point however is that I tried to schedule an appointment with them before the matting got to the point that it did, and I was unable to do so. My ability to care for this dog should not be questioned when I tried to the best of my ability to get her groomed a month and a half prior to the his interaction. Furthermore, I shouldn’t have to accommodate for the failings of a business to maintain appointments. Moving forward, I will gladly take the advice of paw by paw, and find a groomer that is able to fit me into their schedule before the matting becomes severe. I certainly will not tolerate a month and a half wait to address the needs of my dog.

Worst dog groomer in the state! They don’t listen to what you want, they don’t care, they aren’t friendly! Downright horrible experience!

This place just straight up abuses the animals and are so mean to them. It has been going on for so long and the owner on these reviews always replies like he’s going to do something but to this day the behavior is still regular. Do not do not DO NOT bring your dogs here.

***IMPORTANT PLEASE READ*** Tonight I took my 2 dogs over to the Daybreak Paw by Paw to get their nails trimmed and saw some incidents that should NEVER happen. First, a lady was brushing out a shiatsu type breed dogs face with a large brush that was dangly and was just yanking out the hair while it was crying out in pain. The next lady was trimming another large breeds (not sure the breed) hair and nails and the dog was becoming anxious and barking so the lady got frustrated, grabbed the leash, yanked him off the table that stands about 3-4 ft off the ground and dragged him to a kennel to where he slipped after he was thrown in. This was all in front of my sister and I and these ladies DID NOT CARE WHO SAW. I wish I had recorded this. All these 1-2 star reviews who’ve had bad experiences never seem to get resolved, they actually seem to be happening a lot more. This type of work should absolutely require people who are qualified to work with animals and that should also include being kind and patient. I am a woman so I have NO problem saying this but almost every woman who works here has a short temper, is aggressive to the animals and could care less about the dogs well being. NO useless call from the owner is going to solve anything. What needs to be done is hiring qualified people do work with animals.

They have the best self serve dog bath here. I’ve brought my dog several times and the service has always been alright, but today we had THE best customer service by the man up front. I’m hoping he’s always there in the future.

We started taking our pup to this place a couple of months back since this was the closest and technically only available option in the area we recently moved to. Initially they groomed our pup pretty well with no big concerns and we did noticed the lack of empathy in the staff from the beginning. There was one time they took about 5 hours to bath our dog (no hair trimming or styling) and when we showed up, this lady at the counter was on a personal call and she made me wait for 10 mins to finish her call- Only to tell me that "we at least need 3 to 3.5 hour for grooming" to which I responded that he's been here for over 4 hours and then she bothered to check with the groomer. We pre-booked regular grooming for our pup every month and one day when we showed up to the scheduled appointment, this lady told me that they can't take him in because their groomer left this week & they don't have a groomer. We were just surprised that they did not even bother to call or email us and they were not ready to give him a bath either with absolutely NO APOLOGY! In a past couple of grooming sessions we noticed that they missed cleaning his ears (we pointed that out everytime) and in the last session they cleaned his ears completely (something that a mature groomer would probably do in more than 1 session). We noticed both his ears were red (extremely RED). This resulted in an extremely BAD ear infection that we had never seen before. Being a poodle owner, we are well aware that they can get ear infections easily when water goes into their ears. However, this infection was so bad that we had to take him to the emergency care right away. The doctor clearly told us that this infection happened due to the grooming and when we called them to give them a feedback- They DENIED that this was due to the grooming and did not even bother to APOLOGIZE!! **They do NOT care about your puppy or their customers & we are never going there again**

My dog tore off her two front dew claws trying to get the leash off her neck. Luckily it was just the shell, however, she is in pain and seems traumatized since I took her there. She won’t let me touch her paws and she yips when you try to look at them. I was told she was scared, peed herself, and tried to get the leash off when they tried to shave her tail. I’m completely heartbroken that I even took her there. She has been groomed at two other places and has never had this type of experience. She always comes out smiling and super happy to see me. The groomers were a little empathetic but had no problem charging me full price for a very bad groom, razor burn, and a horrible experience. If you love your pet, take them somewhere else! This trip more than likely ruined my dogs trust for any groomer!

We had to book our initial appointment 2 weeks out due to lack of availability. A day before the appointment, Paw by Paw called and asked us to reschedule for a week later. A day before the new appointment, they texted us asking if we could reschedule again for another day. When the appointment time finally came, they told me it would take "about 4 hours" when I dropped him off. I head back about 4 hours and 15 minutes later to pick him up and they bring him out. They tell me he behaved well and the grooming went well. I pay and leave. 10 minutes later, the groomer calls me to tell me there has been a miscommunication and he hasn't even been groomed yet and to bring him back right away. All they had done was given him a bath. Being a first-time dog owner, and this being the first time I've taken him to the groomer, I didn't know how he should look. Regardless, they shouldn't have let me pay and walk out with him if he hadn't even been groomed yet. Also, how have they not even started on him (other than giving him a bath) in nearly 4 and a half hours after I dropped him off? My appointment time was 10am (right when they opened) and, as far as I could tell, I was one of the first to drop off my dog that day. Finally, 6 hours after I dropped him off, he was ready to be picked up (for real this time). Side note: I don't think any of the problems necessarily stemmed from the groomer herself. She did a good job with the grooming and was very apologetic. However, there is no quality of grooming that can make up for the unprofessionalism, poor customer service, and sheer lack of communication that I experienced. The issues seemed to come from management and customer service personnel. If you are looking for a Groomer in the South Jordan/Herriman/Daybreak area, I do not recommend Paw by Paw.

This was my first time using a self-service dog wash station. The gentleman behind the counter made me feel at ease as he explained how everything worked. It was an overall great first experience. A bit pricey maybe considering it took me maybe 10 to 15 minutes to wash each of my dogs, but then again I don't have this type of setup at home so probably all comes out as a wash. (Haha, see what I did there?) 10/10 would recommend.

IF I COULD HAVE GIVEN THIS PLACE A 10+ I would have….. Fantastic place to give your dog a bath! I walked in, the nice gentleman who helped me made sure the tub I used was clean, supplied the shampoo & conditioner, towels, brushes and MOST important, an apron. I swear I was in & out in 20 min. I definitely will be back! Thank you Paw by Paw ???? ????

Paw by paw does a great job with my golden doodle. The cut is nice and I love the bandanna he comes home with. The experience getting booked has been hit-and-miss though. I encourage owners to standardize the phone booking experience.

Really disappointed in the staff. Calling to make an appointment is next to impossible. Most the time you go to voicemail, and they never call you back even if you leave a VM. So when you call to make an appointment you have to hope they pick up. I had my family drop my dog off around 11, and they let the staff know that I would have to come pick him up after work and they were understanding. I got numerous calls and text telling me my dog was ready and when was I coming to pick him up. I called back 3 times to let them know I was coming shortly and every time it went to voicemail. Next time they called the lady asked me when I was going to be picking up my dog and she said “finally! He’s been here for a while!” It was very unprofessional and made me embarrassed. When I got to the store, I went in and the lady didn’t look up from the computer. I told her I was here to get my dog and she sighed loudly and dramatically and said “Finally. Thank God!” My dog looked great and the groomer was nice when she explained to me that my dog was rambunctious and wanted to play a little too much with the other dogs. But that he WAS NOT violent, just being a puppy. The total 180 the staff pulled from telling my family it was okay for me to be late picking him up to then shaming me for coming in a little late for pick up was disappointing. I took of 3 stars for staff rudeness, but gave them 2 stars because the haircut looks good.

We had zero knowledge about a self service dog wash or really what/how to do it and the staff was extremely kind and taught us what we needed to do to get our dog all cleaned ???? Definitly an amazing experience.

I usually go to the paw by paw in Sugar House, but they didn’t have an appointment soon enough so I decided to take my dog to the Daybreak one, because I knew one of the groomers I used to like moved to that location. What a mistake! On the phone I clearly specified that my dog is highly anxious and would be medicated for the appointment. I left him at 9 AM -the lady scheduled him first thing because of his anxiety. Three hours later, they called me saying my dog would let them touch him. I got there, my dog was the same as I left. They took 3 hours to even try to bathe him. What a joke! And said it was my fault for not telling them my dog is anxious when I clearly specified when making the appointment. It broke my heart that they left my dog for three hours just sitting there. Do no come to this location.

It's a cute DIY groomer but more expensive than The Paw Wash which is only One Dollar per minute..so it's cheaper to was my 2 dogs than to pay 15 dollars per dog to do it my self because it takes about 10 to 15 minutes to do them both.

We love Paw by Paw! We loved the Sugarhouse location and just recently moved to Daybreak. We were so happy to have another location close by. Rachel and Kayla did an excellent job with our little guys. They were kind and made sure to understand what we wanted and checked to make sure we were happy after the groom. Our babies look SO good and they were happy when we picked them up! That’s how I know they were good to them. Thank you!!

Really bad customer service. They don't communicate with each other, they didn't write down the dog's name correctly and couldn't verify her rabies shot, and blamed is saying we didn't tell them the right name, how would I not know my dog's name? Then they said their service crashed that's why she was not in the system, again using a different name. They didn't apologized once and kept giving excuses for their bad service.

We use the self wash. Now that too tubs are open, we can go in, get our dogs bathed and leave on 30 minutes. It is nice to know you can walk away and leave mess behind.

There was a small mishap. Kelley was so sweet and kind to both me and my little dog. I really appreciate the concern and kindness she showed. We will definitely be returning.

Have been a customer since they opened with no issues, made an appointment with over a month wait time because they were fully booked, we put a credit card on file and were told there would be a fee if we were late. I showed up on time to the appointment only to be told we weren’t in the system. They blamed a computer error in April although we made the appointment in May. I showed them the reminder text with the correct time and day, she offered a 10% discount for the mixup and we rescheduled the appointment for Saturday. I brought the dogs back, was told that I had the wrong time again even after showing them the correct time in the reminder text. The staff was apologetic and I can’t blame them for the mixup, but after a month and a half of this I’m tired of my time being wasted and will look for grooming elsewhere.
