My pets were injured. I was never notified of their injuries. They made me pay BEFORE I got to see my dogs and refused me a refund. The employees are irate and short with customers and they lied to me, told me my dogs would stay together even through eating and that was not true at all. Then to get ahold of the manager was he'll. They wouldn't answer my phone calls and would only communicate with me through text message 48 abouts after I found my dogs injured! Very unprofessional and a total rip off. They don't care about dog safety or customer experience.

I really liked this place for my 2 cats. It's obvious that the staff cares about all of the animals there and puts in a great deal of effort. Everything always looks clean and all of the cats and dogs look like they are really well taken care of. However, the cost of boarding cats went from $20/night/cat... to $32! That is a huge price jump. A quick google search and my own personal experience shows that $20-$25 is typical. But $32 is way too much for cats. I would understand if they were in some kind of luxury setup during their stay, but really it's just a 10'x25' room with a cat tree in the corner. One of the times they were there they had a "report card" which was super cute and lets you check in on them without bothering the staff, but the last 3 times they have stayed here there is no report card so I suppose it has been done away with. I was told the first time I brought them here that there would be a nanny cam type setup so you could check in on them whenever you want but there is not and the one in the dog area is always down. This price jump was not reflected on their website when I made the appointment, so having to spend an extra $150 after a day of traveling was an unwelcome surprise. This is the last time I'll be bringing them here as there is other game in town that charge much more reasonably.

Great experience with day care, poor experience boarding. — We have a moderate size lab mix and had a great experience with their doggie day care. We were always impressed that they could remember our dog by name after weeks to even months between visits. She always seemed well cared for when picked up. We left her for a week for boarding and when picked up she had a pretty significant right eye infection with some eye discharge (looked just like a toddler with pink eye) with the irritation leading to a slight growth on her eye. This was never mentioned to us when I called to update and was not noticed by their team, even though it was clearly apparent with anything more than a passing interaction with her. After treating her with a vet with a steroid+antibiotic drop, our vet concluded it was infection after a (minor) trauma. I was quite frustrated that her clearly uncomfortable eye infection wasn’t recognized, discussed with us, or addressed. Summary: would recommend for doggie day care, but based on our experience, cannot recommend for boarding.

Great place to board your cat! My fur baby was well taken care of, and the price was reasonable, too. Scott was so helpful with answering my questions, as this was the first time taking our kitty here. Thanks again.

I was in search of a cat hotel while traveling. The place was very clean, staff was professional and friendly. I highly recommend City Pet Club for cats.

Happy with it. When my dog was a pup they took a ton of time with her to make sure she wasn't anxious and sent me pictures with her best friends. As an adult i havent gotten any "reports" from her, but she always comes home tired and not too dirty. They have cams so that's always good. Everyone i seen working there was nice and they seemed to enjoy their job

This place is phenomenal! I take my cat here and could not be happier with the results. The people who work here are very attentive and caring. My cat comes home happy and healthy, not stressed at all. I even received a report card with pictures telling me how my cat's stay was going! City Pet Club really takes all the stress and anxiety of leaving your pet away. I can not recommend them enough.

I absolutely love this place. My dog Teyla is not social in public places with dogs anymore because she was attacked, but she's always very excited to go to City Pet Club.

Oh my goodness, our dog LOVES it here. We live in an apartment and we send her about twice a week to burn some energy. She has the absolute time of her life. They have webcams so you can check on your dog and you can always see the staff interacting and playing with the dogs. It's really affordable too.

5 stars isn't enough for these guys. My pupper loves the staff and is always so excited to see them. He knows where we're going as soon as we turn onto the street and gets so excited. The staff obviously adores my pup and takes excellent care of him. I started taking my pup to a different daycare and thought certain elements (like pupper coming home smelly) of doggy daycare were unavoidable. Not at this place. He comes back covered in slobber from a fun day of play but almost never smells bad. I trust these guys, they're very genuine and loving. I wouldn't take my pup anywhere else in the valley.

The staff are so kind to our sweet puppy. She loves going and sleeps all the way home.

I’m new to SLC & had seen city pet club on my ride home for work. I called last week specifically to find out hours for a temperament test over the weekend, so I could bring my dogs. I was told I didn’t need an appointment & could come anytime between 11am-3pm Saturday or Sunday. When I called again to confirm how I needed to submit my paperwork, I was told I needed to have an appointment & couldn’t come in today. I was offered another day, but I work full time & can’t come in the middle of the work day. The woman on the phone was incredibly rude & offered no other solutions. If you want rude service go here.

Derek needs a better attitude towards new and potential customers. More training on communication and customer service perhaps.

The staff seem to always be on their cell phones in the yard.

I was pretty disappointed in City Pet Club given the awesome reviews. We were in desperate need of a place to board our pup for the holidays, and called to schedule an interview here. They told us that their procedure for interviews was to come in with the dog and they would have the dog hang around for a few hours to see how he would do, and then make a decision as to whether or not they can board him. They took our dog into the back for approximately 60 seconds before bringing him back up front and telling us it wouldn’t work. I was absolutely shocked as we had never had an issue with our pup and other dogs before. I truly felt like they did not even give him a chance. They only put him with smaller dogs (which we know that he prefers dogs his own size), and did not give him a chance to adjust. Any dog introduced to a new environment will be reserved and skeptical at first. We were watching the whole thing from the window and saw nothing aggressive from our dog. After this, we took our dog to the dog park where he played perfectly fine with about 15 other large dogs and had no issues. I really wish they had given him a chance, and now we are in a bind for the holidays.

This is the second time I've had to use them and both times check in and check out were quick and easy. The cat boarding was especially nice because to kennels can be linked for cats for the same family. They also have some cat furniture and windows that help keep the boarders entertained. Dogs are in a separate place, so kitties don't get nervous. They also take turns allowing the cats to roam. I don't know any other place that really cares and tries to accommodate their boarders so much
