I loved these guys they were so kind to my little dog. However they closed so abruptly and say it is temporary but in talking with othe vets it seems more permanent. They keep sending me reminders about appointments needed but won’t make appointments it has left me in a bind. So frustrating that they led me on they just need to be honest that they had to close their doors!

They have been fantastic previously but for the past month Noone comes in and the phones say they are closed. He had a booking with them and paid for daycare but Noone will respond to us to get meds that my dog needs or to even get a refund.

I have taken my cat here a few times and they provide wonderful service, everyone was very welcoming and made sure he was comfortable. Unfortunately I called and tried making an appointment this month and never got a call back, an email or anything. I contacted them 5 times in a matter of 2 weeks, left voicemails each time and never heard back. Meanwhile I was getting sent coupons for services in my inbox? What good are the coupons if you can't schedule an appointment...Great staff, very clean, you just can't get them to answer the phone.

I've been coming here for a while spent plenty of money. But all of a sudden they stopped answering the phone. And now they're temporarily closed I have an appointment but since they don't answer a respond I don't even know if I have it anymore or if they'll be able to take care of me. And I have an animal that needs special medication they said to stock up for the holidays but I thought I could at least call them and see if they could transfer it over to somewhere else but they don't even answer the phones

We love this vet! They take such good care of our dogs and love them (almost) as much as we do which is a whole lot.:) the staff is kind and attentive and it feels like a family there! The best vet for anyone looking in this area!!

My dog needed stitches and they were able to take her in for an emergency appointment. They were kind and thorough in their explanations. I’m so thankful they took care of my sweet old fragile girl. The communication was great and the procedure went really well.

I am trying to respond to a review I posted years ago that Dr. Dobson responded to which I am only now seeing. When I had my mother bring my cats in I wrote down what they were both being brought in for. Luna was being brought in because she was acting lethargic and not herself. For a Bengal you know how unusual that is since you had one in your office back then. But you went ahead and vaccinated her even though she was brought in for being sick. Why would I have had her brought in if not for her feeling sick, or needing to be spayed? Also, it being a vaccine reaction was what Dr. Nemanic said. That was her suggestion and not my idea. I am very pro vaccine and have never not gotten my cats their vaccines before that. You may need to address this with your colleague. You are hasty and unintentionally careless at times in your treatments. I believe you just get caught up in the chaos of a busy day. Which in your profession can be catastrophic. I know you care about animals and didn't mean any harm but that incident has had a lasting effect on my cats health. I realize that veterinary care is a difficult field at the best of times and these are certainly not that. I don't make negative reviews lightly but I also believe other pet owners should be aware of what they are getting into and are fully informed. PS the reason my initial review was posted a while after what happened is because I thought I had posted it right after but when I was looking at my account some time later I saw that it had never been posted.

I've take my little schnauzer here for a while and I have always been happy with the service. The staff have all been very kind and gentle to my pup who gets nervous going new places. Recently my little bug got spayed and I was very nervous about the procedure (she's my first dog) and they were able to answer my questions and calm my worries about the procedure. I really appreciate how they gave me and my husband updates on how she was doing while on surgety. All and all, I'm am very happy with the clinic and grateful to have such kind and caring people to help keep my little one healthy.

I have been here several times because it is so close to my home but no more. The vet is so demeaning! Any question is occupied with eye rolls, vague answers or lectures on using natural remedies. She comes in to yell at you. Doesn’t answer questions. Not helpful. The prices are good though

We have been with Riverwoods since 2019, and have consistently been happy with and appreciative of their care for our pets. They absolutely put the animals first, and you can tell the veterinarians are animal-first people. We have had good annual visits, check ups for aches and pains, and had great support when needing more urgent care. Everyone on the team is kind - every. single. one. One of our dogs recently, unexpectedly, crossed the rainbow bridge, and their support throughout - from the first visit to the escalation 12 hours later - was so deeply appreciated by every member of our family. They even showed my 4 year old the other animals as my husband and I were trying to figure out arrangements. They were empathetic and worked to get in front of a ending they couldn't have prevented or foreseen. I have also found their pricing, and flexibility with payments, to be thoughtful and caring for the impacts of unexpected pet expenses. Based on our experiences with them, I would confidently recommend them to others with dogs.

My experience is here is kind of lengthy - in essence, I felt like unnecessary services were pushed on me and my dog - though, to their credit they stopped pushing when I pushed back. Update as of 6/2021: my dog ended up having the issue they said my dog did not have. We took care of it elsewhere. Would not recommend this vet to anyone.

Worse costumers service, they are forcing people to pay for services that no one needs ... they say is just policy, I really don’t remember signing any documents telling me that ... my pup got all his vaccinations on time .. he’s healthy ... and I only was requesting his nails clipped... vey embarrassing on this time of pandemic where people is trying to make this possible economically and making us to cover services that we aren’t requesting.. sad. Well , I think is time to find a new pet vet with better options for costumers and pet . Not coming back to this one .

Brought my 2 corgis and chocolate lab here and LOVED it. Everyone was super kind, informative and professional. Due to covid I had been looking for a new vet (normally take mine to banfield) but they have way too long of wait times and I feel like it isn’t as friendly and clean as this place. I loved the staff because they were so friendly and helped me pick the best for options for my pups. Highly recommend coming here for good service and a nice clean place! Also they have a doggy day care and that is the cutest thing I have seen and at a great cost. Everything is fairly priced and I will 100% be coming here from now on! 10/10 recommend!

Thank you so much for all you did for our little dachshund! We have been trying to determine what was wrong with our little guy & were at the end of our rope. We had visited emergency & other vets outside our normal vets & the coat had been mounting! After doing every test our vet & the emergency vets could think of, we referred to Riverwoods Animal Hospital for alternative medicine. Although we have not experienced the alternative medicine yet, the meds prescribed have actually provided the relief we so desperately sought for him! He was swelling up twice a day for over a month. The episodes would last anywhere from an hour to 9 or 10 hours. It was so frustrating!! But we are now a week post visit & we haven’t had 1 episode since starting the new regimen of meds! It is such a relief not seeing him in agony! Thank you!

horrible experience!!! We showed up on time and they told us they were behind schedule so they wanted us to wait outside when it was 103°. Once we were finally in the exam room had to wait another 30 mins for the Vet he was extremely rude and condescending to the point where he yelled at us telling us he didn't care what we were saying. If he is able to treat people like that I would hate to think how he treats the animals. Absolutely horrible person!!!

Overall a pretty average experience. The attendants were friendly and the doctor was rushed, busy, and gave us some fairly average care. I would go back but it most likely wouldn't be my first choice.

They are always willing to see my dog even if they have a full schedule. Appreciate their care and concern.

Friendly staff, great with my pets definitely would recommend

Suki was my beloved furry friend for 14 years. Even when this was not my regular place to go to they took her in and treated her like she was seen there for ever. The whole Staff made me and Suki feel welcomed and were very clear explaining everything to me. The lab results didn't show any signs of organ failure and so she was treated for symptoms. But giving her age I knew deep down inside on the last couple of days of her life that she was dying. I called the vet to informed them she had passed away and they were very concerned and gave me all the options for taking care of her body. When I took her in to start that process they were super understanding and gave me a space to grieve and to say goodbye to my baby Suki. Thanks for all you've done for me and my Suki even when I wasn't a regular customer there. Thanks Dr Dobson. You are awesome! Vicmaris Castillo
