Ribbonwood Animal Hospital Orem, Utah

I love the older doctor! We’ve been seeing him through many dogs over the years! The only thing I didn’t like with my last visit was the cost! When I made the appointment I was quoted an estimate of $400. When I got there and we decided what actually needed to be done it went up to $500. When I picked up my dog my bill was $720! Had I known that I would have shopped around! Times have changed apparently

I haven't even made it to my appointment and they have earned five stars. Very helpful and informative, even over the phone. Updated to current rating per experiences.

My dog Sheila was very happy when we picked her up from boarding.. They also gave her a bath she was so clean and her fur was so white and soft. She smelled great. We love taking are pets to Dave he is th.ge best Vet we have been using him for 15 years now.

It feels like a small town vet. We can always get in when we need to. And our animals are well taken care of!

This was our first time leaving our 2 dogs at Ribbonwood. It was a pleasant experience. The staff was professional as well as being kind and accommodating. We were impressed with their service especially with an issue with the billing. They rectified it immediately. We will definitely use them again and tell all our friends that have fur babies.

They were super nice to my dog and shots were quick and painless

We took our 10 week old puppy here for his second set of shots and an exam. The same morning before the appointment he started acting very sick, vomiting and diarrhea and very lethargic. When I arrived at the vet (and was not even warned that it was a substitute vet) I told them all my puppys symptoms and asked multiple times if it could be parvo/ should we test for parvo. The sub vet wrote me off and refused to test for parvo, and STILL vaccinated him. Later that weekend he ended up in the hospital, testing positive for parvo, and he passed away. We were told that if he started treatment the day he was originally seen that his chances wouldve been so much better, and if he hadn't been vaccinated that day. When I spoke to the regular vet about it, he didn't seem too concerned and almost made excuses for this sub vet. We got our money back for the visit, yet that doesn't even come close to the cost of my poor puppy's medical bills or the emotional toll it took on us to lose our baby. We will not ever be returning to this clinic and I advise you dont either.

Very nice staff but they do not have an x-ray system so difficult to diagnose certain things.

Disappointed. Went there to have my dog of years put down due to having back problems. Not my regular vet as my regular vet could not get her in for another week. We were in the room and waiting for the vet to come in. We were the only one's there and we are in the room closet to the lobby and we here load laughter coming from the lobby which by itself would not be a big deal, but when something very personal and sensitive like putting a family friend down, should be considered. We choose the option to have a foot print done to remember our friend and paid extra for it which is understandable. After several weeks I called to ask where the paw print was. The young lady who answered the phone said "we don't know when they will come back". I replied saying that is a pretty vague answer and your telling me it could come back tomorrow or something next year?" she said "well, no. it just depends on how busy they are" Still a vague response. She said they would call when it comes in. Very disappointing experience especially for paying nearly $300 for this service and I won't be back.

I have brought all my pets here. The staff is very great and the main vet is so incredibly patient. Highly recommend it!!

Very caring staff and Dr

Dr. DeGering has cared for my animals for 30 years. His staff is friendly and helpful, and he is a very caring vet. I like that he remembers my pet's history without constantly checking the chart. He is very open about discussing options and costs, and has frequently given me a break on costs, especially for surgeries or extensive treatment. When we agree that their time has come, he administers a calming shot and then gives them their final shot. He's a good man, all very humane and compassionate..

We had our pitbull puppy spayed here. They required a $55 pre surgical visit. Fine. At that visit we made an appointment and received paperwork stating the cost of the surgery. I took the day off to care for my pup. It all went down hill from there. We showed up and the cost went up by $250. I asked why? They pointed out that the paperwork was only an estimate. They said the cost had gone up because my dog has a deep chest. I asked why that wasn't noticed during the exam? They answered, you can't tell until the Dr. Cuts her open. So I asked why are you charging me now before the surgery? Answer, do you want us to do this or not? I had taken the day off and had no choice so I agreed to the robbery. WAIT...IT GETS WORSE! I show up to pick up my dog and they front lady begins yelling at us and says to my wife, you're a nurse so you can take her stiches out. Never bring your dog back. Why did this happen? Because they wanted to add even more money to the bill after the surgery and we refused to pay. The money is one thing but the way they treated my dog just showed me how sick these people are. Yes they are con artists but more importantly, they are mean, nasty, incompetent, and didn't care about my dog.

Everyone was friendly and helpful. It was nice to be around happy people who truly enjoyed their jobs. I felt we were important and mattered. A spoon ???? full of sugar definitely does make the medicine go down. Irs a very positive place and you can't help leaving there feeling the very same way

I loved this vet! The staff was so great with my puppy, and the doctor took time to talk with me. It was also a much better price than other places. I was grateful for the whole place!

Best vet and the Best vet tech in the whole world

My little pup needed to get her shots and the staff was amazing. A few years ago we had to to the hospital to euthanize our family's dog and our experience was second to none. The compassion that Ribbonwood provided helped my family so much. Thank you, Ribbonwood for being the best <3

We've gone to this hospital several times. The doctor is knowledgeable and really makes you feel comfortable. The staff is great too!

It is so hard when you loose a pet its more like losing a family member. Unfortunately my kitty Dash was beyond saving but the staff here gave it everything they could. When I had to put him down they were very kind and caring toward me. I just received a card from them expressing their condolences and it means a lot to me. Thank you so much for everything staff of Ribbonwood!! And thank you for helping Dash's brother Snirt. I'm happy to say that he is doing well.

Great doctors and nurses. Our cat was hit by a car and we took her to another place for the emergency visit but when we took her to Ribbonwood, they took the time to thoroughly fix her up. I have been impressed with the gentleness and care given to our cat.

I really had a good experience here. The vet was pretty straight forward and didn't recommend a lot of expensive tests as the first option. My cat has been vomiting hairballs so he suggested the prescription hairball food before any more exywnsive testing.

Great prices and use for my dogs to be boarded when I’m out of town. They always tell me the prices before I pay which I appreciate.
