I never leave reviews ever but the conditions I saw the puppies were in was horrible. The puppies were sleeping in their own feces, they are all in what looks like big fish tanks. The staff is nice but the conditions of the animals was truly heart breaking.

I prefer to shop local when I can. So I usually try to shop Animal Ark for worms and crickets for our turtle. But it's been a while since I've been at this store. Today I came here with my daughter for superworms and I've never seen so many animals crammed into a small store space. I couldn't belive how dirty the place was. As we walked through, my daughter was excited to see the animals for sale but I was looking at the cages. They have so many animals that they have to house a dog for sale in the isle in a yard cage enclosure. The last straw for me was when I saw a sun conure hanging upside down rubbing his face on his empty, too small for him cage. He wouldn't even look at me. I understand he is "on display", but he still needs some toys and a cage made for parrots not parakeets. The poor guy is showing signs of insanity and he hasn't even left the store. His new owners are going to have to really work with him, I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't eventually end up at a pet bird rescue. I left without worms and I won't be back.

Dirty! Crowded! Stinky! No thanks. This place gives me anxiety. I was in this store less than 10 minutes!

They have winter silkies, and they are adorable, a local breeder is testing out a pair and their offspring look healthy and gorgeous, aside from that the it is a very unique store with very friendly staff.

Animal abuse. Starving dogs. Crowded cages. Sick animals. Employees don’t clean or take of the animals. Get this place shut down.

Employees are nice there but not nice to the animals, I’ve noticed a dozen of birds put in a box half them are missing feathers, this is at the entrance. The pups looked healthy from what I can tell so that’s good. A bit disappointed in the cramming of animals. Also it’s very hot and the sink room is disgusting. Your welcome.

They had a lot of different exotic animals and insects, along with friendly staff, but their pricing seemed a bit expensive too me.

I always enjoy going to new exotic per stores. Animal Ark is a good distance away from where I live, but the variety of animals is great, and the amount of plants is awesome as well. Give them a look if you're in the area!

Employees are nice. Over priced on just about everything. If you prefer shopping at mom and pop places then Jay's Jungle in Provo is a much better option for normal pet purchases. Jay's didn't have puppies or kittens though.

Very large selection when it came to the fish. However I did not make a purchase since they did have the specific fish I was looking for. I did find the Koi in the colors I wanted at their American Fork store which only has half the selection.

I came in and gave the place a pretty thorough look over. I've had quite a bit of experience with a variety of animals, and I love their selection of reptiles, invertebrates, etc. I got a nice tarantula, some giant millipedes, fruit flies, and isopods. They also have a TON of cool plants, starter feeder colonies, and other nice pet stuff. Some of the branches I got molded in jist a few days, and it was some intense fuzzy stuff. I strongly reccomend baking any branches you get here to kill any spores. Also,, the crickets I got here died pretty fast, which was likely my fault in part since I ddnt put them away for an hour or so after getting them. I recocmend taking them straight home. for the wear. The biggest issue I had was the rodents.. the reptiles all looked fine, and the birds looked good too... even the cats and puppies had it good!! But the rodents were worse for the wear.. No hides, cramped spaces, bedding that wasn't ideal(but there was a lot of it, which kind of made a way for them to burrow) and some of the mice looked like they had barely been weaned. These guys could really benefit from giving the animals larger enclosures or at least some hides, changing the bedding to something with less ammonia issues(thoigh if they change it daily, paper based should be okay) and maybe waiting to wean them for longer. Also, giving the buyers better education on rodent requirements would be very important, as the care seen in-store is NOT what the animals should get when they're at home. Though mice/rats are often used as feeders, that does not justify poor care, and especially if you plan on selling fancy mice for a whopping price of 12 DOLLARS! I sell my fancy mice for 4-6 dollars, and they are in much better shape! Honestly, this is a terrible place to get pet mice, at least if you care about knowing you're getting pet quality and health. For feeders, it's alright. It is better than Jay's jungle as far as humane standards at least.

Staff is very helpful and knowledgeable. Animals seem genuinely well cared for and "happy" unlike many pet stores. A little cramped but not a big deal.

This place is pretty great. Most of the animals seem well cared for, the birds are friendly, and the selection is awesome. They do have wire wheels(avoid those!), and I'd Be careful about any plants/sticks/cage stuff you bring home. I have had multiple things grow spores in a mostly dry environment after just a few days, which doesn't even happen with the wood/dirt I get from outside. I have made it a rule to thoroughly clean and quarantine anything I bring home, just in case. The employees are very nice as well, and I've heard them offering some good advice to customers coming in. That's always something I appreciate. There are some random little things they don't know though, like what type of crickets they have, where some of their animals come from, etc. It isn't a huge deal, but I do like to know the sources of any pets I get. also, the rodents aren't in the best conditions, though they aren't horrendous. Their feeder breeder colonies looked worn out, and there were half-eaten pinkies in the cage when I came in. If a little kid walked by and saw that, there might be some issues. I would personally reccomend keeping breeding mice in less... visible places, both so they aren't stressed and so that kids don't have to see that. Also, I think ensuring that males and females are separated in pet bins is important because no family wants to end up with the mess that can come from a pregnant mouse. Some of the rabbits looked cramped as well. I can't say much about the fish, arachnids or most reptiles because I don't have as much experience, but they all looked alright to me.

Love this place! I go here weekly! They have everything. EVERYTHING! Snakes, spiders, fish, cats, dogs, Plants...lots of plants! All the accessories too. But my favorite part is the very friendly and knowledgeable staff. I swear they know everything. I even took my snake there to find out the gender! (we have a girl) Go there and check it out. It looks small but it's bigger on the inside ;)
