This place has gone downhill the last couple years and it has really been shown on the phone. We scheduled an appointment for our puppy to get fixed and have her nose fixed at the same time. We were quoted the price and when I made the appointment last week were told the price was still good that we were quoted. Today all of a sudden the prices to be fixed went from anywhere to 800-1200. We told whoever on the phone that we wanted to cancel and we would find somewhere else due to our quote not being good and the insane increase in price. The lady rudely told us we were being taken out of the system and hung up on. We will not be going back here with our 2 dogs, but neither will any family members who take their animals here as well with how we were being treated for this.

Dr. Leavitt truly cares for your pets. My dog has epilepsy and he calls on his days off to ask about her and offer his help. I trust him and the whole staff with all of my pets.

Nice, clean and beautiful facility. Pricing seems good for most things. One thing which does matter is I feel they really love and care about your pet. That is always the most important thing to me. ????????????????????????????‍????????‍????????????????????‍⬛????‍⬛????????????????‍⬛????????????????????????????‍⬛????‍⬛

I called to find options of putting down our bunny that was suffering. I was put on hold 4 times and asked if I was a regular customer there...like that was a deciding factor in receiving help.

I have had to change my review due to the owner's policies during this pandemic. Currently if you have an appointment at certain times of day, you will be asked to wait outside or in your car until the room is ready for your pet. That amount of time is variable. Last year it meant I sat in my car for 4 hours while 8 months pregnant from my scheduled appointment time until I left with my pets in 90 degree weather. I counted 2 people (out of the 7 staff I saw) when I took my pets to an appointment yesterday wearing masks, so it is confusing to me why the office would require people to remain outside in the hot weather with their pets yet they aren't enacting all possible precautions, just cherry picking the ones they like. I will say some of the staff are very kind and I have enjoyed my pets' treatment a good amount of the time the last few years. But I am NOT okay with the treatment we have received that last few times we have gone to the vet. Not providing my pets and I with a safe waiting area in extreme heat or allowing us to call in and show up for appointments only when the room is ready is, in my opinion, irresponsible and dangerous. If you care about people's safety, I would suggest reviewing your policy. For those of us with medical conditions that put us at risk of severe reactions to heat and who are doing everything they can to protect the health of the community with regards to COVID-19, your policies are concerning at best.

I brought my beloved cat to Burch Creek last wednesday when she got pretty sick. The professional staff and friendly treatment we received was very comforting and I felt I came to the right place. After being treated so disrespectfully at my 1st stop, just south of their location. I was glad that they were there to help. I will never bring my pet anywhere else. Everybody was great! THANK YOU!!!

I want to give a shout out Dr. Laura Klur. I am going through a terminal process with a dearly loved family cat. Dr. Klur took a few minutes to simply sit with me and offer an objective perspective on decision making that will bring me some peace of mind. Being skilled in taking care of pet owners is equally as important as medical care as a veterinarian. She has made ALL the difference in how I and family are processing and coping with this difficult situation. Knowing the pet owner's values and tending to those needs makes Dr. Laura Klur an outstanding veterinarian. Not enough thank yous to tell the storey.

I brought my kitten in for her first vet appointment and found out she had ear mites pretty bad. They charged me $100 to squirt her with salt water, and told me that’s all they can do and to come back in two weeks to do it again. I find out that you can buy ear mite medication at Walmart and do it at home. Within 3 days of doing these ear drops her mites are gone. I think that was a very unprofessional way to earn a quick buck when my newly adopted kittens health is at hand. I ended up getting charged almost $150 more than I was quoted over the phone. I feel like they took advantage of my inexperience with kittens to overcharge and undersell me.

Too busy for any new clients. We transferred all of our vet records over on Monday and they still haven't gotten any of our pets entered in except our dog, who had an appointment on Wednesday. (I know they received them because they had them all printed off when I brought our dog in.) The new girl checking clients in is very rude and said that she would "probably enter our records in" every time I asked to schedule our next appointments and she still hasn't gotten back to us. It's really disappointing because the vet was kind/knowledgeable and the clinic was clean/comfortable.

I've brought 3 cats here in the past and now I bring my dog. They are truly the best around. Every time one of my fur babies visits, the ladies up front are always so nice and welcoming. They even sent a little post card on my doggies birthday! I'll never take my babies anywhere else!

So we had been taking our dogs here for 5 years and been generally pleased with their services. Spent thousands of dollars here. Today, my wife showed up with our dogs 9 minutes late. Their policy states that if you are “greater” than 10 minutes late, you pay a fine. Their office staff refused to acknowledge the time on my wife’s phone (real time) or even consider they are were in the wrong, and held her to their time saying that “our clocks must be different”. They incorrectly held to their time (and we are very willing to admit when we are in the wrong) to a mild degree. We are not people who are overly judgmental or suspicious as a rule but as militant as they were today makes me feel like they merely wanted to get more money from us and couldn’t care less about the people and pets they take care of. The cold reception and inability to even comprehend our frustration seemed like there is a real disconnect from their clients. It takes a lot for my wife and I to write such a thing but this was such a poor experience we felt it must be said… I advise every to avoid this shady place and take your pets elsewhere.

All of the Klars are amazing and have provided excellent care to many of my pets over the years, but I will never take my dog to Fife again. If she's the only one available I'll take my dog literally anywhere else. No people skills, can't explain how treatment works, and very high pressure sales of really expensive Glucosamine they sell at their practice because apparently the glucosamine supplement I've been giving my dogs isn't worth anything, even though she didn't know what kind they're already on... Only the really expensive stuff she makes commission on works. She sounded like an obnoxious infomercial, and wouldn't take no for an answer. This was after I told her I have spent $7,000 in TLPO surgeries on my dog. Sorry I can't afford that, and it's not relevant to my dog's issue she's being seen for anyway! I also heard her giving the same tired sales pitch to the previous client. Fife was scared of my dog and wouldn't touch her during the exam--a medium-sized dog who has never bitten, snapped or even growled at a person. Obviously be careful and watch the dog's body language, but if you're not going to even try to touch her, we're not getting the full check-up. She also asked me if I was okay with an antibiotic she was prescribing but then just switched it on me (to something weaker) because they were out of the meds we agreed on, without any explanation. I'm flexible, just communicate. She also told me that my previous vet's diagnosis of my dog "wasn't real". This is a vet at the same practice, with a lot more experience, who she claimed was wrong. This is the first and only time she saw my dog. Update: Almost a year after we saw Fife, we saw my usual trusted vet at Burch Creek and she confirmed with another x-ray that it was Fife who was wrong. My dog didn't ever need to be on the expensive Rx food Fife prescribed. My dog could have eaten a variety of treats, instead of just her Rx dog food as Fife so adamantly required. I had to restrict my dog's diet when food make her SO happy, just because this new vet is arrogant enough to think she knows more than an experienced vet who had been treating my dog for almost a decade. I'm not going to add up the additional cost of that food over her normal high-quality more nutritious and varied diet, because it would make me so angry. Having to deprive your dog SUCKS. Especially when you just made the mistake of seeing a new vet instead of waiting for your usual trusted vet because you were nervous. I know there's a vet shortage and it's a really hard job, so I'm guessing that's why Fife is still there. Go see anyone else there and you'll be just fine. I've been working in animal rescue for a decade and been to every practice in Ogden over the years with my various foster pets for different rescues. I don't expect any vet to be perfect, but there was nothing good about our experience with her. Be very careful, and maybe even get a second opinion if she has diagnosed your pet.

Out little guy, Griffin had bladder stone removed June 8, 2020. I could not of asked for a better team of Dr's to do the surgery to remove his stone. They don't pretend to care they TRULY do CARE. Jumping ahead to June 2021 and time for Griffins yearly visit. He was acting a bit different than his normal loving self. Thanks to Dr. Laura and her L❤VE, CARE and ABSOLUTELY CONCERN, she found that Griffin is diabetic. As a dog mom I was so scared, but again Dr. Laura's Undying Love for each and every animal she and every Dr. and staff at Birch Creek Animal Hospital see, she had me calmed down (and I bet she didn't realize it) as she explained everything I needed to know and do. She didn't rush me, answered my questions and called to see how he is doing. I'm so grateful for everyone who works there. I dont live in Ogden, but because of the Awesome care they give Griffin, I wouldn't go anywhere else. They are the BEST. Don't hesitate or look any further for the best vet and staff for your precious Animal. This is without a doubt where you want to take your pet. I Guarantee that you will be so Happy that you did. Thank You Birch Creek Animal Hospital for your help and Love you give to my baby, Griffin. ????

This is not my normal vet. I had to put my dog down this afternoon and I could not get in with my vet. So my son called his vet (Burch Creek) and they worked us in. The staff was so very kind and gentle. We did the procedure outside in a grassy area under a tree. It was very peaceful. They had placed a blanket on the ground for Miss Maggie. We were able to sit there with the dog and comfort her. I will recommend Burch Creek Animal Hospital to everyone. I can't thank k them enough for their kindness.

I just picked my male cat up from getting neutered. Immediately, I noticed a pungent urine smell coming from his crate. The vet tech made sure to inform me not to get the surgery site wet. When I got him home and pulled him out of the crate he was covered in half dried urine along the length of his whole body. I dropped him off at 7:30am and he was awake by 11am, but they didn’t have me pick him up until 2:30 in the afternoon. So I’m just curious how long they let him sit there like that and is it a usual occurrence to pay over $200 to a vet for them to let your cat sit there, uncomfortable, in their own urine. It would be one thing if they let me know the situation, how long it’s been, and how to take care of the issue because it was clear that he had peed in the kennel. But I guess that courtesy is not part of this vets standards.

Really disappointed in the lack of communication recently, and the lack of paying attention to details.

Please do yourself a favor and really read all the reviews before choosing this Vet- all the 1 star ratings aren’t a coincidence- something is happening to this clinic. The Doctors are the very best out there truly! Watch out for management- maybe the front office workers are not communicating with the Doctors or vice versa - but I truly hope they recover their relationship skills- and sort out the feeling they are leaving everyone with of being totally hosed and worked over. Affluent people with the money to spend on their animals are choosing other clinics - this is a culture issue. 5 stars for being the best Doctors - one star for the management. It breaks my heart to feel the soul ripped from this place. Come on Burch Creek- we are cheering for you- turn it around! Communicate! You can do this!

I switched to this vet clinic because the one I had been taking my animals to for years has really started to not care. They are 1/2 a mile away burch creek is about 13 miles away but worth the drive. Dr Fife is amazing! Very compassionate and I feel like she truly cared about Neela and wasnt faking it.
