Dr. Dan is very compassionate and knowledgeable. I’ve finally found a veterinarian I can trust. Reasonable rates too.

I am sure he is normally a good vet, and that my experience is a rare one for him. Especially with the short staffed nature we are going through right now. I brought my laboring dog to the vet because of complications with her first puppy. He failed to check her vitals and inform me that she had a heart murmur. They did an okay job with stitching up the first puppy, since it was not okay after birth. The next two ended up with pneumonia because the birthing fluid was not out of their lungs. No suction or anything when she had those two at the vet. All 6 of her puppies are now deceased, and I believe that atleast one of them could’ve been prevented if he had slowed down and actually checked the puppies and on momma. He seemed too busy to stay in the room long enough to answer questions, educate, and care for my babies. An emergency spay later, after two passed away inside of her, we will not be coming back.

Came from another vet that we had used for 15 yrs. We are so happy we made the switch to dr. Dan.

We recently moved to this area. We needed guidance about what to do with our beagle of 14 years, he was sick. We determined the humane thing was to put him to sleep. They really helped us through this most difficult decision, showing care and consideration from when we arrived to when we left. Thank you Dr. Dan and staff. Dr Rachel is great too.

Dr Dan is great. I take my pigs to him and he is always does everything He can to help my pigs get better. Highly recommend. His assistant Julio is great also! He is fluent in Spanish so he is able to help translate if needed.

I took a new puppy there as a first time client. The Dr took his time explaining stuff to me. The price was extremely reasonable. I figured my bill would have been double what it was or more.

Absolutely the best vet in van zandt !! I’ve taken my dog & bunnies here but just recently switched over. The staff is the kindest and hardest working. From the ladies at the front,vet techs, & of course doctors - all around awesome. Dr. Dan was very gentle with my doggie Jade when she was having tummy issues & had to get shots. He talked to her the whole time & the vet tech reassured me as well. Definitely recommend!!

best vet clinic in the area

Had to take my kitty in because he got all stopped up, they took him straight to the back and went to work on him immediately, he had to stay that day and night and all the next day but I was able to bring him home. He's not 100% himself but he's getting there. The staff knew how upset I was and just kept on reassuring me he would be okay, I honestly can't thank them enough. Their professionalism, courtesy, and sincere concern was something beyond belief, they also DO NOT try to take advantage of you and hit your wallet very hard. I won't go anywhere else for vet care unless I move away from here.

I drive all the way from Mesquite to have Dr.Dan care for my pets.He,his wife& all the workers are great& they always find a good appt. time for me.

Awesome vet. Dr. Dan actually called me to discuss my little dogs health while I waited in the car. He's a very compassionate person . Very reasonable prices. I have permanently changed vet's after 20 yrs. I would recommend them to everyone.
