When my older dog , unexpectedly needed a surgical procedure and would need to go under anesthesia , I was concerned that it would be too risky. Dr Heidi reassured me and explained the pros and cons of the situation. I trusted her to take good care of my old boy, and she did. All went well and he’s looking forward to chasing a tennis ball again.

My fiancé took my kitten for a check-up. The vet was so nice and absolutely adored my kitten. She gave her everything she needed and got us a follow up appointment as well!

This clinic does a great job of taking care of our dogs. They’re a friendly staff with affordable pricing, and they’re so patient with us when we have questions.

This was my experience Saturday morning:I brought him in due to chronic pain and crying from his swollen joints.Jaspy couldnt get up from laying position on his own. When the girl entered the room he growled a little and they gave me a muzzle to put on him. once he was laying on his side the brown haired young girl kneed Jaspy in the neck to keep him still (he wasn't moving much)and the vet had his lowered body pinned down and he then peed on himself.Jaspy was absolutely terrified. All this was done on the bare floor even though they had a soft mat on the table. This was done very careless and inconsiderately. My dog stuggles to get up in the first place.I dont care for a reply from this office. I know how they treated my dog.Thank you.

Amazing experience with my holland lop bunny rabbit! I was recommended by my breeder in WYLIE that they were an amazing vet clinic for bunny neuters/spays and so I took the leap and drove over an hour at 6am and dropped him off, hung out until about 2pm that day doing homework near by and took him home. The doctor and rest of vet staff called and checked up on him periodically throughout that week and went above and beyond to make sure I had the resources needed for his safe recovery. One of the first clinics i've been to with my bun that I felt like the staff truly cared. Seemed like they were very experienced and knowledgeable with rabbits. Definitely will make the hour drive for my current bun and any rabbits I adopt in the future.

I brought my fur-baby, Marnie in to have her yearly shots in April. While I was there I was asked if I had any other concerns and I stated I wanted them to look at a few skin tags she has. The vet said it wasn't necessary to remove the tags. My Pup was given her shots (I thought). I paid the (extremely high) bill and left. In October I brought my other fur baby (Buster) in to get his shots. At that time I found out that my first baby was not given her RABIES shot in April. She was given her shot for Heart Worms and a shot for itching. I was completely shocked because that was the main reason for the visit. I was told that their office documented the April visit as a visit about her skin tags and not documented as a visit for shots! (what?) Due to human error on the part of the vet's office my dog didn't have her rabies shot. I was told that I'd have to pay another office visit in order for Marnie to receive her rabies shot. I'm recently widowed and where the vets office is not responsible for that or for giving discounts due to unseen misfortune, I do believe they should own up to their mistake; offer to give Marnie her rabies shot (and I pay for it) but that they should NOT charge an office visit. I found several staff members to be extremely insensitive and unwilling to admit a mistake was made on their part. The lack of compassion is astounding and it truly hurt my feelings. I'm sure they will deny this but it is not my habit to leave negative reviews or make up stories. They should have offered to charge for the rabies shot but not an additional office visit. Today I brought Marnie to get her rabies shot at TCAP. Her rabies shot was $5 and no office visit was charged. I will never go back to Grote's. Everyone makes mistakes and likewise everyone should admit them. When my pups need medical care I will bring them to another Vet.

Unfortunately the staff, could not keep up with my new puppy vaccine records or follow up appointments. Was rudely rushed out the door and never was told to make another appointment for vaccines when I called no one could find me in the system. Then i get a phone call for a vaccine that I already did. I quickly lost confidence in the staff and doctors to care for my puppy. Not to mention when I called about something that my puppy had eaten I was told to call a 24 hour clinic they couldn't do anything (9 am on a Saturday). I am so glad that they suggested that so I could find I-20 Animal Hospital.

The ladies here were great! I didn't see the doc due to having to leave my dog to be taken care of, but he did great work.

My family had been coming here as long as they’ve lived in Weatherford & in the past we had great care, but once Dr. Grote left so did all decency, my elderly dog started to have seizures and the clinic quickly prescribed a slew of medication, none of which helped! Her seizures continued to increase and they continued to up and up her dosage until she was at the “maximum amount”. When she continued to get worse and started becoming lethargic we nearly had her put down (as they advised) but we decided to get a second opinion at another vet. They first ran blood tests which showed that she had been taking roughly twice the amount of narcotics a dog her size should ever be on. They quickly made the necessary adjustments and not long after my 13 y/o girl is back to herself (with very rare seizures).

We have used Riverstone vet for a year and and had our first after hours issue with our dog. Their 24hr phone service was wonderful. They had us scheduled to get in the next day, a Saturday. The staff was extremely nice and quick and they took care of our dog. I’m so impressed with this vet.

The verdict is still out. We have a 1 year old sheltie that has always had itching issues. All shots, pills, meds and shampoos to fix it, had no results. Continuously went back for followups to for over a year and continued to paid hundreds of dollars for each visit. Many visits, Pills, new food, allergy shots and no results. Then we found out the meds and some shots she was prescribed may cause death to herding dogs. We lost faith in them and moved to another vet. I will say the next vet is still working the issue. But we are not satisfied with learning from our breeder that certain meds for certain breeds was prescribed by a vet. And paying over $100.00 4 or 5 times in 6 months for followups for the same unresolved issue, is not the right way to do business.

I called to get prices and they were so high! So I called the one on south main street and their prices were SIGNIFICANTLY lower. So I ended up going to the clinic on main and only had to pay 31$ grotes prices were 125 I think for the same 3 shots.

Our pup was bitten by a rattlesnake and our current was unavailable so we called Grote to see if there was a vet on site. They took us right in, took wonderful care of our pup and were very caring and reassuring.

They were absolutely amazing with my bunny bynx. You can truly tell that they care and live your animals, our vet tech that helped hold him during the surgery held him afterwards while he was waking up just to make sure he was okay, I would recommend this vet to any bunny owners! Not only did they do a wonderful job, their prices are very affordable! I wish I lived closer, but it was definitely worth the drive to get him fixed.

Everyone was friendly and I was shocked at how fairly priced everything was. Our vet had obviously worked with a Dalmatian before and was very understanding.
