I like them ...very caring

I very much appreciate that Doc. Walter's is following strict COVID protocols. He still communicates with customers thru phone. He always has time to answer questions and wants the best for your pet. Everyone that works at this office is professional and friendly. They are very appreciated. They always do a great job. Thank you!!

Vet is very straightforward and doesn't try to push unnecessary stuff on you. Doesn't ridicule me for not having my dog spayed. Only wish we could go in with our pets again.

I paid $135.00 for not knowing any more than I did when I got there. Took my cat in for excessive scratching, to the point her skin was scratched raw and bleeding, coughing, sneezing and wheezing and diarrhea. These are all symptoms of allergies. Possibly a food allergy. But they didn't check her for that and I was told food allergies in cats are not common. ???? Was given antibiotics and a spray for the infected areas. Very disappointed. I will figure it out on my own with changing her diet and help and advice from the local rescue I adopted her from. My poor cat is miserable and depressed. This breaks my heart. Needless to say I will not be back to this vet.

They have done a good job with my cats. My orange boys were neutered there and healed up nicely. My female recently went for blood work and they provided me a solution for her health issue (a dietary change). The cost isn't too exorbitant, and the location is very nice. I am not sure if they treat exotics, but I would like to be able to take my snake there if the need arises. Very friendly and helpful nurses and staff. The photo is of my happy healthy Samuel. He is the first patient I brought to Brookside for a neuter, and also for an intestinal issue which has since resolved.

Dr. Walter and his Staff were friendly and informative. They not only helped me with getting my kittens inside the clinic (I am on a crutch) but Dr. Walter made sure to call and talk to me about everything that needed to b done. This www my first time to Brookside but it will not be my last.

Very friendly, caring doctors and staff offering a full range of veterinary services. It's out in the country a little off the beaten path, but not too far out of the way. I highly recommend this clinic.

My puppy had shots scheduled for today. When I initially made the appointment, I asked what the total would be. I was told $42 for her distemper parvo vaccine & $19 for her bordetella vaccine. The day before her appointment, I was called and asked to confirm. I confirmed & was told the total again for her appointment. Also, that I would not be charged an exam fee, JUST charged for the two vaccines. I had my spouse take her in today & they charged him $140 dollars. He paid and left. I am outraged that they would even charge him this when they specifically told me it would be $61 total for these two vaccines. Of course their office is closed now & won’t be open again till next week. I sure hope Brookside makes this right and gives us the $79.00 credit for her next appointment.

Not horribly priced. Took good care of my cat. He was calm going in and coming out both visits. It felt a little strange not being able to go in with him, but it's the world we live in.

This is a fairly new hospital. The staff cares about the animals they take care of there. Vets care is great.

I took my chinese crested pup there they give her a flu shot she has an allergic reaction it was bad she swelled up and i had to take her to mansfield emergency and pay 3 times 700 dollars and then now my male pup has swelling and rash in his ear i call brookside today and explained whats going on and they said we cant get him into monday so you can call another vet or go take him to the emergency

The doctor didn't have the greatest bedside manners. They said they had to muzzle my dog when he has never had to be muzzled before. On top of all this it was extremely expensive, which would have been fine if the service was much higher quality. I don't recommend you bring your animals here.

First visit today with my GSD who can be a handful if he wants. Staff were very patient, made the effort to calm my GSD and win his trust. Other vet in the area was not as patient. So far I'm very satisfied with this vet.

Talked down to me when I tried to explain when I thought my cat had ringworm. Was told not to listen to "Dr. Google " very poor manners. Implied that I wouldn't call if there were side effects to medicine making me feel like a child being scolded and taught a lesson. Dont come here unless you like being talked to like a child.

The staff is welcoming and the Veterinarian answered any questions I asked. He was very gentle with my new puppy

They took my dog Roscoe in when I couldn't find another vet within 30 radius of Cleburme to perform an operation before 3-5 weeks and it needed to be done ASAP!

Made an appointment and took off of work to drive 30 minutes to find out they “didn’t have an appointment for my dog” Dory the girl that answers the phone is extremely rude and she’s going to drive away customers!

I had a bad experience here. The vet techs did not seem nice or welcoming. During the appointment they attempted to tell me how to care/ train my dog, and were upset that she was trying to get away when they would take her temperature, or be hesitant to come with them. (I'm surprised they would feel this way considering they are strangers to my dog and I don't think any dog wants their temperature taken). I was mainly upset because I had called with an emergency. My dog was bitten by a coperhead, and the employee who answered acted like it was no big deal, however when we were there for an appointment earlier that month, they fronted two people who brought their dogs to have stitches taken out. I feel that could have waited, since it wasn't an emergency and there were others who had made appointments. The last instance was picking up her medicine. I understand things get mixed up, but the names of the dog, as well as the owner were no where near close. I think they really need to pay attention. I understand with covid and everything, but thats dogs health and safety, you can't mess up and give the wrong dog the wrong medicine. I got my records from there and went elsewhere, and have had a positive experience. I didn't want to risk them giving my dog the wrong stuff. I still get text messages from them telling me to make an appointment. At the moment until they get better staff or better training, and attention to detail, I do not recommend bringing your dog here.

Dr. Walters is a top-notch veterinarian, and his staff is great. I highly recommend Brookside Animal Hospital.

Even though I've moved to Cedar Hill, I still drive to Brookside for my vet care. I trust them that much. Very caring staff. They are following strict safety precautions due to COVID, which is comforting.

I took my cat there this morning and loved it! I showed up about 20 minutes early called and she told me the lobby is clear (covid protocol) and I have a room open so you can come in. As soon as I was in she verified the info I had given her the day before (this was our first time there) and got me in a room. The vet techs were super nice and friendly to my big boy. The vet was amazing as well I was nervous but they did an ultrasound to check his bladder out found the problem right away and even let me look as they were doing the ultrasound. Got some meds and some prescription food at an affordable price and great care for their patients! We will be going back.

Always courteous, efficient,informative, and on time. Facility consistently clean.
