Nice owner and employees and my pups seem to like it ! This was 2 years ago. Update 7/19/21. I been calling this kennel for 3 weeks to board my dogs and no one answered. Left voicemails and sent email and no response at all. I thought they might be out of business and I have to find new kennel. Sad since my puppies enjoyed last visit.

I called asking for advice regarding training and was told they could not assist due to the lack of animals we had. I was fine with this, but the the person in the phone started lecturing about spay and neuter after I had just explained I set appointments for one dog. I was requesting advice for training not a lecture about overbreeding.

Needed place for our 6 month old german sheperd to stay while we went on vacation. Quil Creek met our needs and made our pup feel at home as best as possible. spent time with her every day playing out in the huge play yard. We also used Quial Creek to help Train our german sheperd a month later with one of there skilled trainers. Justine was our trainer. You can see right away the love and understanding Justine had for dogs. Justine showed us the intelligence our german sheperd has and right away had her doing commands. It is amazing what my german sheperd can do after 2 weeks. Thank you Justine and quail creek you have a forever customer.(There grooming is awesome.)

Can't say enough good things about Quail Creek. Fantastic, caring staff. Good prices. Nice facility with both climate control and long, covered outdoor spaces for lots of exercise. Training classes are also great. The most telling sign that they're great is our 3 year old German Shepherd has known them for years and loves going here. Gets very excited when he knows where we're going and nearly throws his back out wagging his tail to get pets from the staff.

We went to a dog training Saturday with trainer Gina, VERY UNPROFESSIONAL and RUDE! I’m not one to complain, but I can not believe the unprofessional service we received here. Very disappointed! Don’t waste your money here!

I would like to thank Gina and Sue and their fantastic crew , Shannon and Josh for taking such terrific care of my girls!!! At an agility trial this past weekend, Elayna tried to get me to follow a person leading a Belgian Mal. A few moments later this guy walks up without his dog and Elayna was so excited to see him! It was Josh from Quail Creek! Even though I have to drive up from Georgetown, Quail Creek is the only boarding facility I trust to take care of my special pups!!!

Quail Creek's management is extremely unprofessional and rude, in fact Sue's behavior is appalling. I called with a simple request to exchange a collar I was sold by the trainers which was the wrong size (too small). I had been working with it for 5 months, not knowing the reason I wasn't getting results with my dog is because the collar was too light weight. (I would have called sooner had I known.) Before I could finish the reason for my call Sue immediately took a defensive and blaming posture, was rude, would not allow me to speak, cut me off every time I tried, and even hung up on me. Even though my dealings with the trainers were great experiences, Sue's behavior sours it all. This is not the first bad exchange I've had with her, either.

We recently welcomed a Golden Retriever puppy into our home. Immediately, someone recommended that I contact Quail Creek for training, due to their success AND ability to connect with kids, motivating them to work with their dogs, bringing out the best in everyone. At 5 months old, our puppy spent 2 weeks with their welcoming, positive team for the boot camp program. We delivered an active and spastic puppy who jumped on everyone and everything, had no self-control, either wouldn’t go on a walk or would go nuts every time he saw another animal, among other puppy challenges. We picked up a calm puppy who knew his commands, focused on the task given, responded to positive messages and focused on his owner while on walks, not other distractions. This has truly made the transition from new puppy to a beloved member of our family occur! The most important part of this program is not the focused training with proven consistent systems, but the way they took time to patiently and thoroughly teach my son how to continue training his puppy, using the same systems he’d learned through boot camp. It has given my son such a great guide to provide quality, purposeful time for the two of them together as well as insure that the puppy doesn’t go back to him bad habits. As assumed, it’s greatly enriched their relationship, reminding me the full value of getting a puppy. Sue, Gina, Nadine and everyone at Quail Creek K-9: Thank you for the gift you have given us. Through you, we have gained new friends and an ongoing support system for our entire journey with our new four-legged family member.

Our Miniature Schnauzers love coming here and getting pampered for their spa day, however often their hair gets cut too short despite our instructions for a traditional cut. Overall a friendly place with good staff.

What a wonderful place...on a road trip from California and wanting to spend a day in Waco without worrying about our furry kids. ..we brought them here to hang out for the day and I was immediately put to rest after meeting the owner and her staff. You always know if you put your dogs with dog lovers then everything is good...and this is the case here!!! So glad I found this place...we will be back in waco and we will be back here also. THANK YOU SO MUCH!

I have been taking my German shepherd to Quail Creek for training since he was 4 months old. Gina and Shannon are amazing! He has now finished basic, intermediate, and advanced classes and is currently in a trick dog class. He has also received his AKC Good Citizenship certificate. My boy is 18 months old now. His behavior is amazing and I am certain it is due to these two ladies. When I first started taking him there a year ago my initial reaction was “this is a bunch of nonsense “. But within a few weeks I saw results that were remarkable! Turns out all this “nonsense “ was with intent and was very effective. Anytime I take my boy anywhere everyone is impressed with his manners. Gina knows her stuff! She is very patient with all the dogs and even more patient with the human clients ( I think we are much harder to train than the dogs) and I know who she was training was me. She has taught me how to communicate with my dog to get the results I want. I plan to continue our training, it has been good for both my boy and for me. I also get my schnauzer groomed by Quail Creek. They do a great job. My dogs are always excited to go and like going to the groomers. You can tell if your dogs like someone by their reaction when they see them. My babies LOVE everyone there. They wag their tails every time we go there.

Training program is great. Gina is phenomenal and very informative. Most of the staff is welcoming, but any interaction I've had with Sue has been very appalling. Very demeaning, her customer service and appreciation for you, the person giving them money, is very poor.

Sue and her team are awesome. We use them for grooming and our three dogs stay there every time we go out of town.

I want to highly recommend Quail Creek Kennels to each and every friend with canine family members. I moved to Waco seven years ago, at about the time Sue and Gina bought the business and have been a satisfied and loyal customer. They took tender care of Corky in his declining years when I had to travel, and now they look after Maggie, grooming, boarding and giving nutritional advice and care. She's going for a "do" next week, and I'm looking forward to the visit too! Not a haircut for me, but a visit and conversation that always educates and encourages good health and behavior - on Maggie's part. I have several friends who take their dogs to Gina for training, agility and behavior, and the improvement is amazing. I know this may sound over the top - but it's all true. I hope you'll visit too.

Having owned and operated a boarding and training kennel for a number of years, not every dog is a good canidate for a boarding facility and dealing with people whom feel they know more about dogs, even though they have only dealt with a few, then someone whom has dealt with hundreds, is frustrating. No one likes to hear negative things about their beloved pet, however, no one knows their pet as well as they think they do. Dogs will display behaviors away from home that the owner has never seen. Good and bad alike. If you are not sure about how well your dog will be received in a boarding situation, visit the facility before hand. Arrange for your pet to stay for a day or two to see how he will do and then discuss over your concerns with the staff and be open to negative feedback without being offended because maybe your pet does have issues which you do not see in his home enviroment. Some pets simply cannot deal with the stress of being away from home. So get a house sitter. There is nothing a boarding facility of any kind can do for a highly insecure dog. And, just a note, people often are as blind about their kids behaviour. Contrary to popular belief, kids and dogs do not always mix and therefore are not always welcome in a boarding and training enviroment.

I have used Quail Creek K-9 services for two dogs of my own and for one I was fostering for a regional rescue group for boarding, and basic and intermediate obedience training. The staff is extremely professional, knowledgeable, and helpful. Their training style is based on you and the dog cooperating together through positive reinforcement and achieves great results when you practice and do your "homework." Moreover, having worked in the past with other trainers and training situations (including difficult dogs), I find Gina's willingness to discuss other training techniques and her willingness to observe behavior before she tries to correct it very refreshing and welcoming. She is confident and not afraid to hear about other techniques. I've used the boarding services many times and have to say that both of my dogs have always been delighted when we pull up to the kennels - no anxiety, no fear reaction, no dragging them into the kennels resisting all the way. Now, that's a recommendation!!! In short, Quail Creek K-9 services is the best in the Waco area. Thanks for coming to Waco, Gina and Sue!

We "blended" families last year and that included two large breed male dogs. The dogs were involved in several fights and we turned to the folks at Quail Creek to help. Our younger male lab mix attended a one-month boot camp training where he received daily individual instruction. Our older boxer attended with the younger dog for a few days for analysis and monitoring of behaviors. The professional staff at Quail Creek provided us with solutions and suggestions for managing our dogs. Our lab mix came home a different dog - obedient, calm, ready to please and he has maintained his training beautifully. We now use their boarding and grooming services regularly. Quail Creek K-9 services is a home away from home for our pets and a true treasure for dog lovers in Central Texas.

We have used the boarding, day care, and training services at Quail Creek numerous times and could not be more pleased with the quality of care our dogs received. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and sincerely enjoys caring for the dogs of central Texas. The facilities are excellent and the prices are very fair. If you are looking for any of the services Quail Creek offers, look no further!
