Our miniature schnauzer developed pancreatitis just prior to Christmas weekend this year. We didn't know if he was going to make it since he couldn't keep anything down for two plus days. When we got him to the vet, Rene began taking notes and making observations to help. She was very gentle with Max and mentioned her suspicion that Max may have pancreatitis which is pretty scarey. The vet on duty took blood and ran tests after making a thorough exam and confirming Rene's suspicion. The prognosis was cautiously optomistic but Max got a shot and some meds to take and we had to spoon feed him tiny amounts of food and water every hour when we got back home. After 3 days and 25 spoonfuls of water and nutrition, we are seeing a dog that's full of energy. Now our goal is to make sure he doesn't get so excited and worn out that he relapses. I reported all this great news to Rene and after we spoke, I am convinced this young woman has a real gift and should be a vet herself! We are so thankful to have such wonderful veterinary services.

My dog had been sick for several days and I called in the morning and they got me in the same morning to see the vet. I truly appreciate the quickness in which they saw my dog. The vet gave me medicine, along with giving my dog a shot, and he was feeling better by the end of the day.

Our 5 month old Labrador Lily was brought in for a check Little to know we found out she had gotten parvo. We were worried sick and afraid. RENEE is the absolute best. She took care of our puppy like she was her own. She called and texted and sent videos and updated me daily on how our Lily was doing. It seemed like a long 10 days but now Lily is home and doing amazing. I can’t thank Renee enough for just showing our puppy attention and love. I am forever grateful and family pet clinic sure has an amazing employee. Thanks as well to all you guys and Dr. D. See y’all soon.

Haley is the hottest vet tech, I have ever seen. If you don't have a pet, borrow one so you can see her.

We took our pets here for years. Never again. They killed my cat. I took her in for a simple grooming visit and they killed her. I’m devastated. She didn’t need to be sedated. She was a small, calm and loving cat. My daughter even asked for them to do the blood work first to make sure she could withstand the sedatives. They failed to do it. KILLED MY CAT. Also, my son’s cat had diabetes and they never told him how to care for him. He suffered for a week before dying. Negligence…. Plain and simple. I wish there was a no star option. And yes, I did email and call the veterinarian board, and the AMVA.

This place is our go to for my little girl! So clean and everyone is so helpful. Especially the receptionist Haylee! Good customer service like hers is hard to find and my family appreciates it.

I’ve been a customer here for over a year and I’m honestly so disappointed right now. I took my 7 month old puppy in to be neutered and had a very bad experience. I’ve owned many animals over the years, all fixed and I’ve never paid more that $250 for any of their surgeries. I was charged over $500 here for a neuter. No complications at all, just charged over $500. Before surgery they gave me options for additional add ons, like fluids during surgery and labs beforehand. I asked how necessary they were and the answer was “the fluids are to prevent his blood pressure from dropping during surgery and the labs are to make sure his organs are healthy and won’t fail when getting anesthesia.” Sounds pretty incredibly important to me so I added them, and that was over $150 alone. When his lab results came back his blood levels were less than one point below normal (which they said it completely common in puppies) and they insisted I have to give him 3 huge bottles of iron for the next 3 weeks to get it back up, another $60. I asked if it’s something we could just monitor since it’s literally .4 from normal, they said no. Then during surgery they decided to trim his nails, (that were trimmed a week ago at the groomers) and when I got him home I looked and multiple nails of his had dried blood and were cut to the cuticles :(. Then to top it off, they charged me $20 for a cone that he had no trouble reaching completely around. I had to run to petsmart and buy my own so he wouldn’t rip his stitches out overnight. I’m just overall completely upset about this entire interaction. They tacked on all these extra charges without even hinting at a price range for me and the quality of service is disheartening. I feel scammed because I’ve never paid anywhere near this much for better care at other veterinarians.

Family Pet Clinic is amazing. My dog was hurt and was not feeling well and my own vet clinic told me they could not see him. I called family pet clinic and they were able to squeeze him in due to the symptoms he was displaying. My dog ended up needing surgery due to an obstruction and if family pet clinic didn’t fit him in to their busy schedule, he might not be here today. Family Pet Clinic treated me and my dog like we were the only clients in the building and everyone was professional and friendly. Needless to say, this is my dogs new vet clinic and I love everyone here for just being good people who are passionate about what they do.

From out of town and had to stay longer due to death in family and ran out of seizure med for my pet. would not refill even when my vet will fax over Rx. Never a problem usually. Just this office. Calling another vet. Don’t waste your time if you need anything from here. I tried again to come in, at 7:50 am, does not accept walkin, my pet is coughing up blood and clots, will not see her. Suggested Vet hospital that I already brought my pet too and spent 600 bucks and they did not find anything. I need their ultrasound machine to find out what is going on instead of bring her everywhere else for the same tests. Of course it’s Friday, so my pet probably will not survive the weekend with internal bleeding and coughing up blood

My 5 month old puppy woke up sick about a week and a half ago, after a couple days of vomiting, diarrhea, not eating a single thing or even being able to smell food without vomiting, seeming depressed and near lethargic I took her to another clinic in temple where I was told she was just teething and uncomfortable. No test were ran and she wasn't even looked at more then 5 min. It sounded insane to me but I wasn't going to pretend to know more then the vet I had come to know as very reputable in temple. After going home with some nausea medication Ellie continued to get more and more sick loosing a pound every day and a half. Two days after I took her to the first vet I was extremely worried as she was Shakey, wobbly and had trouble having to go outside and potty so I tried to take her somewhere else, being a Saturday only family pet clinic was open and usually is appointment only and closes at 12pm. After explaining to them what's going on they had me bring her in anyway and even stayed after 12pm to give her a fluid bolis and full treatment plan to continue at home. They knew right away she was sick not teething and did some tests, they determined she just had caught some sort of virus and was pretty dehydrated now. She got a antibiotic shot, some antibiotics and nausea/diarrhea medicine with a couple other medications. By the next day she was already showing much improvement and eating small amounts of baby food. Now 3 1/2 days later she Is pretty much back to her rambunctious self while still on her medications! I feel like everyone at this clinic genuinely cares about the animals and helping them. Thank you Dr. Donahue and family pet clinic we will forever be coming to you!

I have nothing but wonderful things to say about such wonderful, helpful, caring people that work there. I recently lost my Minnie-the-Chaweenie baby...and they handled it all with respect and professionalism and most importantly to use at the time...with care. I would recommend this clinic to anyone who adores their furry baby/babies and want only the best of care. I miss my baby Minnie more than words can express....I will always be grateful for the compassion the Family Pet Clinic took in handling her both in life and in death. I absolutely appreciate the paw imprint and all the effort you took in making her tribute. Thank you once again for all your work guys. <3 I wish I could post a picture of my Minnie. I'm sure she also thanks you for everything you tried to do for her. <3

I’ve got 4 dogs that I have been patients for years. We recently just added one to our fur family. But the Dr. treats them all like her own. She explains everything she’s doing and why. Caring & compassionate. I’ve also had many interactions with other staff and just as friendly...very busy but caring. I recently got my big dog, O’Malley, groomed there. That’s the only thing I have not been happy with.

They keep pushing you to buy stuff you don't need (and when I tried to get a refund on medicine that I didn't need/touch/open they told me they dont do returns on medicine. I went to pick up my animal from surgery, I paid after she just said "bye", forgetting my animal. I had to ask for my own pet. They just care about money. Also my cat was full of feces when I got him and no cone. I've also tried to make multipul appointments and they never answer back. I've tried 4 times now. I remember how great they used to be but they are just the complete opposite.

The doctor is a liar and cares about NOTHING except getting your money. Will lie about your dogs having worms just to sell you dewormer. So very true!! And the review under "addison dunahoo" is actually the doctor posting a good review about herself under her daughter's name. Beware of this greedy vet!!

I have a shi tzu with an attitude and Dr. Dunahoo and Amber have been wonderful with him. They're ALL wonderful with him. Amber can do things with him that no other person has been able to. I am so thankful for the Family Pet Clinic staff....especially Dr. Dunahoo for her continued research into my dog's issues and her willingness to go the extra mile for him. AND to Amber....she's pretty much my dog's BFF, and he doesn't really like anyone but me.
