They take amazingly good care of your little furbabies ???????????????????????? Edit: extremely uncaring front staff. They do NOT care. They do NOT know what they are doing. And, when told of my emergency situation with my cat (life or death), they told me the next available appointment was on Monday.. (that's 3 more days). They had no empathy nor sympathy. Also, unhelpful. I WILL ALWAYS PRAISE THE VETERINARIANS WHO KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING.

Love the receptionists, they all so nice.

Helped me get my cat out of the country. My only regret is I didn't find them sooner.

My dog Banjo had a great time! He has always been afraid of storms and fire works. They really took good care of him!

Our beautiful Abbie inherited a genetic mutation. She and two other dogs in her litter inherited this gene. It was Metastatic cancer. The two siblings passed at 4-1/2 years of age. We almost lost Abbie about the same time. She had surgery to remove cancer and things were touch and go. Dr Panos was the first doctor to help us navigate thru that time. Several more years went by and the cancer came back with a vengeance. It had spread all over. Abbie was literally on her deathbed when we took her in. Dr Treadwell informed us of options and all it took was for me to say I want to save her for as long as we can. Dr Treadwell went above and beyond many days to keep this girl alive for close to one more full year. Our baby girl was playing til the day she died. Whenever I called South Shreveport Animal Hospital did everything they could to keep her going. I will never forget that. I truly love Dr Calahan, Dr Panos and Dr Treadwell and the staff for the compassion they showed us and Abbie.

They don't communicate very well.

The folks at South Shreveport Animal Hospital were great to my sweet pup throughout his life & gracious & dignified to me when it was his time to pass on. When I'm ready for a new pup, I'll definitely return to SSAH.

6-19-15 I would have given it a better rating, but I'm still a bit bitter about the misleading appointment we had set up in advanced. They said our VERY sick dog would be seen between 8 to 9 AM. We were told the doctor wouldn't even be in until 9:30. So, our dog had to sit in a cage ALONE, wondering who those people are and if we abandoned her. We were pretty much sent home. 9 o'clock goes by, so does 10, and 11. Finally, we got a call from the doctor around or past noon. Our dog had been in that cage for hours with a muzzle when it was bad enough she had trouble breathing. And by the time we came back, she looked worse. I will always be angry about this as she had already suffered for a few days. Don't tell us the appointment will be at a certain time, only to be waiting for hours! Update 5-26-18 We have gone at least two other times since then. I would highly, highly, highly recommend Dr. Panos. She is beautiful and lovely. Her patience is amazing and she's very informative with any questions you have. They do take Care Credit if that helps. We don't have pet insurance, so that has really helped us out.

We board our dog here. The staff are kind, caring, and helpful. There are numerous kennel and boarding options and your pet will receive a complimentary check by the veternarian. We appreciate their access and availability and they help keep your vaccination up to date.

So far, so good. Had my baby's first puppy visit with Dr. Panos and she was great!!! Really seems to LOVE the animals she deals with. Can't wait to go back!

Checking prices for male cat ???? someone dropped off in front of my home, male cat need sterilized. Sure can't AFFORD THIS VET. After all, this is an animal dumped out, abandoned, not a human. Will drive to Tiller Clinic in Waskom. Why are Vet prices so very expensive???

My dog, Dakota just had emergency surgery at a local animal emergency hospital. For her follow-up appointment, we came here. Everyone is very nice and they are really treating Dakota with a lot of care. This is going to be her normal vet from now on. The prices are great as well... I used to take her to another local places but they were a bit rough and far too expensive. Thank you all for being so good to my girl.

My dog was beat up by a dog on the loose. I was worried my dog was severely hurt. Upon closer examination by the Vet, all worries went away. The Vet also found my dog had an ear infection and treated him on the spot. I am very happy with the service. Thanks.

JUST DO WAY BETTER THEN WHAT YOU DOING NOW AND I THINK YALL SHOULD RIDE AND CHECK ON ANIMALS OR BY REQUEST BUT IF YOU HELP THE PEOPLE THEY KNOW BETTER TO LOVE AND HELP THE ANIMALS INSTEAD OF YALL DOING ALL THE work

Great! Everyone is attentive and friendly. Dr. Callahan is very thorough in explaining the animals' situations and instructions wirh their care. My animals responded well to the handling by him and his techs. I know they care about the service they provide . When Dr. Callahan was out of town, Dr. Panos heloed me over the phone when she was able to take calls. It was a plus that Dr. Callahan spoke highly of my awesome former vet, Dr. Raymond Frederick, who recently retired.

These folks are the best. They take care of my doggo very well & they are very friendly.

Very clean place and all the doctors and staff are just caring loving people to your pets.

It might be a decent vet, but NOT a good place to board your pet. Don't even get me started on all of the things that they did to up charge and upsell us when he was here. 1. They gave us a flea pill for $ 4.50 and did not inform us. It is not the cost that bothered me here it is the fact that he could of had an allergic reaction to the pill. He already takes Trifexus for Flea/Heartworm and he gets flea baths regularly. 2. They made us get a canine influenza vaccination for $37. 00 and I do not know much about the veterinary practice, but when we take him to get his vaccinations a this has NEVER been mentioned in the whole five years we've had him. They charge an extra $9.00 a day for 10 to 15 minutes a day with a staff member and that attention should come with the $ 21.00 per day. This place may be a good vet, but never board here.

Don't see how my dog could have CHF one day, and then not have it anymore. I would express caution having your pet examined by this vet.
