The best place for your pets! This was the only place in the area that would take my kitten, who couldn’t even walk from being so sick for an emergency appt. I’m so thankful to this team, now this is the only place where I take all my fur babies. They get to know your animals, and love em just the same!

Since my animal and I were new to Schertz Animal Hospital I almost canceled my appointment because they said the lobby was closed and they would come to my car. But I felt so relieved that I was able to come in with my pet to explain any problems I had seen in my pet lately. Dr. Palermo was so knowledgeable and explained things very clearly. Doctor and staff were very nice. I gave 9 stars only because prices were kind of high, but other then that all was good.

They have always treated my pets and myself with courtesy, have explained things to me in regards to their health, and have always been just the best. That's why they have repeat clients like myself. Very busy place, seems to get new clients all the time because they are good.

I can't begin to thank everyone at Schertz Animal hospital enough. I have lost two of my old dog friends recently, and it broke my heart, but I know we can't last forever. Everyone was caring and helpful during this difficult time for me. I especially want to thank Dr. Rodriguez and Dr. Mossburg. Dr. Rodriguez has been taking care of my animals for many years. He always explains the problem and what can be done to take care of it. He is a compassionate and gentle man. I was really concerned for him during his struggle with COVID 19 and I am so grateful he is back at work. I see Dr. Mossburg a lot because I bring my " Grand Dogs" that belong to Joy Brown when they need it. He recommends the best options and truly cares about our animals. We appreciate him so much. Too both of these men, and everyone at Schertz Animal Hospital, Thank you so much I am so grateful for your support during these difficult times for me.

We have used this vet for several years. Recently, we've moved to San Antonio from the Schertz/Cibolo area. We still drive to them. THEY are the BEST. They NEVER try to convince a person that their animal needs unnecessary tests, treatment or extra expenses. You can TRUST that they care for your animal without breaking the bank/wallet.

Took my 2 mo old here today. I can honestly say i had a great experience and they were very quick. From Social distancing to the confident vet. The tech was very sweet and didn’t rush telling me about the meds. This will be my place to take my sweet boy always.

I took my Sheltie in on an emergency. Everyone was so great, caring and compassionate both toward me and my dog. I honestly thought I was going to loose him. It took two days before he responded to my voice-but he pulled through. I am so grateful for the awesome care they gave him but also their patience and caring toward me every time I visited.

Our friends recommended this place. Wrong diagnose they are suppose to be professionals. They charged the fees and we paid the fees for our pet. Even though they are incorrect they wanted us to come back and pay more for the same procedure that they wrongly diagnosed.

Today I had to take my very hurt French bulldog in for the unthinkable. I didn’t have an appointment, and had never been seen at this clinic but they saw our fear and the shape my sweet girl was in and saw us immediately. She was panicking related to stress of the drive and being in pain and Dr. Rodriguez and his team dropped everything they were doing, got my sweet girl comfortable and did what needed to be done. They were very compassionate and made this experience as quick and painless as possible. I couldn’t be more thankful for this office in such a terrible time.

I contacted this facility after my dog was bit by another neighborhood dog. I am new to the Schertz area and just wanted to find the closest place that could do emergency care. The staff was extremely caring and responsive, and they took care of my dog right away. The curbside-only policy was a little uncomfortable because it was an emergency and I didn't know the staff, but they eased my worries very quickly. Very grateful for the care with which they took care of my dog.

Trust Dr. Mossberg with our cats, the front office ladies are helpful and kind. They accommodated same day emergency geriatric care more than once to our dearly departed senior.

I've been using the Schertz Animal Hospital since the 1980s. Currently I have two Yorkies that Dr. Mossberg takes care of. The very best treatment from Dr. Mossberg and the staff of the Schertz Animal Hospital. I was just in with one dog on 10/4/2021 for dental cleaning. He was well taken care of with sufficient pain killers and recovered quickly. I throughly trust the staff of the Schertz Animal Hospital.

I have never been disappointed. Dr. Rodriguez and his staff are awesome. Have been going to them since 1999. 2 of my fur babies needed to cross the Rainbow Bridge, Dr. Rodriguez and staff were awesome. Had no problem taking my new rescue to them.

This was my first time using this facility and I am very pleased with the entire process. Due to COVID had to wait in vehicle but the interaction I had with everyone including Dr Mossburg by phone was amazing. Will be back!

My family and I have taken all of our pets for the past 13 yrs and they have always shown care, compassion the staff had always been very professional and friendly. I moved out of the area but still take my new pet there.

I suspected our newly-adopted, 3-month-old puppy had a urinary tract infection. I called the vet we'd been using for our other dog and was told they couldn't see her for 3 more days! Schertz Animal Hospital told me to come over and they would fit her in. Fabulous! Dr. Palermo was awesome. We have found our new vet! Thank you!

We have used Schertz Animal Hospital for about 30 years way before they built the space they are in now. You don’t stay with a business this long if they don’t treat you and your fur babies with care.

I took my boxer there for his yearly shots and his allergy problems. They were wonderful with him. He is a very loving dog and they treated as such. Maximus is just 2 years old and still loves everyone.

I had to take my dog in for an emergency c-section, and everyone was fast and professional. It ended up being quicker and cheaper than what they quoted me, overall a great experience.

When ever we had to take our pets to the vet, this is the only place we would go. Unfortunately, our recent visit was our last. Took our dog in and they ran some tests, recommended and gave us some medication. Within 2 days our dogs skin started turning dark red around the neck, the next morning she urinated a extremely dark urine (looked like black coffee) and shortly after she broke out in hives and red spots all over. We called the vet, “oh you need to bring her in and leave her to run a urine test...” Dog was acting fine, having spent $350 we opted to see how she acted... only change was the medication, I googled it and a common side affect is dark urine amongst other side effects. We stopped giving her the medication and she went back to normal. Why we’re not planning on going back? We felt deceived. I’m sure it’s not the first time that medication is given to a dog and hard to understand they didn’t know dark urine was a common side effect. Why not let us know ahead of time? Why not tell us over the phone? Why quickly ask to bring her in to leave her and run tests? Trust is important, when lost... it’s lost.

We have been here three times in the past few months for our dogs. It’s consistently overbooked. We called 21 times without a response waiting for an appointment this time. Our dog has yet to be seen within 30 minutes of his appointment. It’s usually closer to 45 minutes before they are able to get the puppy. The convenience of the location is not worth the service.

The staff here is amazing. The process is easy to use and they follow through. Even during the pandemic they changed the process and made it easy to take care of your pets health. From making an appointment to paying your bill, it is all just easy to do. We use Dr. Mossburg and have been extremely happy with his professionalism, knowledge, courtesy and bed side manner. The techs work just as well with you and your pet. Everyone here truly cares about animals as a whole and it shows when dealing with you and your pet.

My cat had a urinary infection with blockage that can lead to death if not treated fast enough. This was the only place that would take my cat on short notice, I called 10 other vets that weren't able to see my cat until next week. Called on Tuesday around 5pm and got an appointment to drop off my cat the next morning at 8am. My cat stayed at the hospital until Saturday morning. I'm grateful for the vet for treating my cat in a timely manner. My cat had the same issue in 2016 and at that time I took him to Banfield hospital. Schertz Animal Hospital was about 40% the price and they have overnight care. Banfield did not. I will continue to chose this hospital for my pet's care.
