Lone Star Dog Grooming Schertz, Texas

We have been taking our Maltese and Maltipoo to Lone Star Grooming for nearly a year now. They are friendly, professionals, and true dog lovers. Our dogs are actually excited to go to the groomers! They do not use kennels and allow the dogs to socialize and play within a safe environment. The dogs always come home with perfect hair cuts! Our Maltipoo is often anxious in situations with new people and other dogs, but we have never had an issue with him at Lone Star. There is a gentleman that does custom dog portraits while your dog is groomed for a very reasonable fee and he’s a true artist! We had one painted at our last visit and it is beautiful. We take comfort in knowing that all of the employees at Lone Star will care for our dogs just as we would. I recommend their grooming services to all of my friends and family and we will be lifetime customers!

Lonestar groomers is beyond amazing, I have a super sensitive dachshund who normally other groomers won’t take in due to her anxiety . Lonestar understands , takes the time , and creates a safe and loving environment. Avery comes back so beautiful. I am beyond thrilled with how pick up and drop off is for Avery.She shows no stress, doesn’t even nip! Which is huge! I will always recommend them. Avery is a happy camper ❤️

My dogs look and smell great!

Beware!!! this is by far the worst dog groomer we've ever been to. They charged us for services that were not received, which is fraud. I have the validation on my bank statement and took photos of before and after the visit. As a consumer that finds it important to support local, independently owned businesses, this is one that we regret. From the moment we entered Lone Star Dog Grooming, the staff was extremely unprofessional. My initial call, I spoke with a young lady who mentioned she was the owner and gave me an appointment time. I arrived with our Two Golden Retrievers for their appointment. Upon arrival, I was given contradictory statements from a gentleman who claimed to be the dog groomer. He stated he didn't have time for baths only a nail grind. The young lady, who mentioned she was the owner continued to give us information that was untrue, with pricing, and claiming that they use Organic Gluten Free shampoos that they buy off Amazon. I specifically asked about hypoallergenic due to one of our Golden's has sensitive skin. They both gave different pricing, asked me the same information several times to put our information in the system, and basically acted as if it was an inconvenience for us to be there. Our dogs were uncomfortable as were we. We left disappointed with both dog's in the same condition they were when we arrived, in need of a bath and a nail grind. We will not be back, and will continue to inform the community of the terrible experience we had. It's businesses like these that take advantage of their customers and stillreceive support from those giving them the benefit of the doubt. By the way, after looking into it, I confirmed the young lady was the daughter of the business owners and mentioned she often pet sits at her home.

In response to the owners response below regarding my review! First of all, my Husky was not severely matted, he is well taken care of, shame on the owner for lying to make his staff look professional! Second of all, the staff called me and told me my dog was ready to be picked up. I did not show up unexpectedly. When I arrived to pick up my dog I brought it to the attention of the staff that his paw pads/nail grinding had not been completed. The employee said that I did not request it, I told her I was informed that was part of the package, she told me it was not but she would go ahead and do it for me. I am definitely staying with my 1 STAR RATING, based on the reply from the owner, on the misleading and false response by the owner! I would not recommend this place. Response from the owner 6 days ago First, I would like to set the record straight about this review. But, we can't ignore the comments made by this customer. The customer brought her full-size husky for a bath with a de-shed treatment and brush out. As any dog groomer knows a Husky is a very large dog with a heavy coat of fur. It takes much longer to bathe and do a de-shed on a dog of that size. once bathed the dog has to be blow dried off. Once dry the dog has to be brushed out. In this case, the brush out was extremely difficult because the dog was severely matted. It takes a very long time to brush out the mats on a large dog that has not been brushed regularly by its owner. Our bather spent 2 1/2 hours brushing out and de mating the owners Husky. We can not understand how the owner could even think the dog had not been bathed. Normally once the dog has been bathed and brushed out it is handed over to our grooming staff to perform the paw pads and nail grinding as well as ear cleaning. The owner misunderstood the conversation between the manager and the dog bathers in the wash area . It is not the bather's job to do the paw pads, that duty belongs to the groomers. all of the other services were provided as requested by the owner. The owner came to pick up her dog before all the services were completed on her dog. At that time she asked if the ball pads were being shaved. The manager went back to check on the progress. At that time the only thing left to do was the nail grinding and paw pads. That would be left to the groomer. Once that was done, the dog was presented to its owner. The owner seemed pleased with the service and had no complaints at the time of checkout. Later the owner called the grooming salon complaining about the service. As a matter of course we make every effort to satisfy our customers. We offered the customer a complete do over in hopes that we would not lose their business . The owner declined our offer. We feel like the owner had no appreciation for all the hard work that went into grooming their dog and that giving a one star review was just excessive.

Best place in town! They do exactly as I ask, are kind, patient and have a true heart for my dog(and all the others)! My dog looks forward to going each month! And I love the results each time from the grooming!!

First visit today and was very pleased. I love that they don’t cage my dogs and the cut was perfectly done for both dogs. (poodle and Golden-doodle) We definitely will be returning. Thank you ????

Sad to say, this was my first experience here. I took my dog in for a bath, brush, nail grinding, paw pads trimmed etc...everything the owner said that came in the package. Needless to say, it doesn't even look like he was bathed. I had to ask them to trim his paw pads and the owner goes in the back and mentions it to his employees and I hear them yell at him and say, "they didn't request it," the owner says, "it is part of the package" the employee responds "no, it is not!" Just so you know, on the card I filled out at check in, I did request it, even if it was supposed to be part of the package!" The two employees in the back that supposedly bathed my dog were very unprofessional! My thoughts were "Who is the owner here, who is in charge? The employees or the owner? Very unhappy with the service. I called the owner and complained, He was kind enough to redo the service at no-cost. However, after considering it, I will not ever take my dog back to Lone Star Grooming. The owner is very kind, but he needs to take charge of his employees. I am baffled at how this place received a 5 Star. Very disappointed. Sally

Everywhere was booked, and I mean everywhere! I called this location 2 hours before they closed at 2pm after calling around at maybe 8 other places, I needed my boy an emergency bath and blow dry due to husband last minute telling me we were going to his mom’s for an overnight and she is sensitive to dog smell. They took him. They treated us wonderfully, pricing was as expected, and my dog smelled GREAT. He was in and out in 45 minutes, looked like a million bucks, and they even trimmed his nails as part of the service which was extremely inexpensive. Thank you so so much!! We will be bringing him here for all future endeavors to my MIL house- we’ve been here for 5 hours and she hasn’t once complained about dog smell. Thank goodness.

This is the second time I have taken my fur babies to get their nails done. They are very professional, courteous and treat my babies well.

Disappointed with results. I spoke with owner and had a nice conversation so we made an appointment for our two poodle puppies. We explained what we wanted at check-in since this their first haircut and they understood. Unfortunately, 5 hours later when we picked them up all they did was trim their face, feet, and back end. The small pup looked better but neither dog had anything cut off their body. Needless to say, we were not pleased. We had high hopes, but I wouldn't recommend this groomer to anyone.

Took our elderly fur baby for a bath, cut and a overhaul. He hair was matted and she looked rough! When I picked her up she was young looking and full of energy. We found our spot as her groomer. Definitely a wonderful place.

These guys are great! The price is reasonable, my dogs smell amazing, and the de-shedding/blowout treatment on my husky works wonderfully. My favorite thing about them though is I was not rushed to pick my dogs after they were finished; they could essentially just roam the salon and hang out with the other dogs and groomers, until I was able to get them. They offer a drop-off service too! 5-stars, always retuning to this place now.

I took my bulldog here to get groomed for the first time. He was shy but they helped him through it and treated him very well! The job they did was fantastic! They cleaned the folds in his face which not many groomers do. The nail job is on point and the de-shedding job we very good.

I just moved to the area and I needed to find a reliable place to trim my dogs nails. He is a big dog, super sweet but HATES getting his nails done! He growls, yelps and tries to mouth the person clipping his nails. He has always been that way since I adopted him. I called ahead and the lady said the best time to go was 3-5 so we went and the groomer was super patient and calm and my dog didn't freak out! I was shocked that it went so well! They had other sweet dogs around and I think they bought comfort to my dog, they also said they have a dog park in the back that most people don't know about too! I would give this place 10 stars if I could! Best nail trim place ever!

My pooch got sprayed by a skunk. I tried every remedy online to get rid of the smell to no avail! So I called Lone Star Grooming in hopes they would have some suggestions and to schedule her for a bath. The owner got on the phone and said bring her in right away. It was close to closing time but she didn't hesitate. I brought her in and was instructed to come back in an hour or so. When we returned they had bathed her 3 times and even trimmed her nails! They sent us home with some additional treatment and showed us where she had been sprayed. I thought for sure the cost would be expensive but it needed to be done. To my surprise, It was super reasonable!!!! The people at Lone Star couldn't have done a better job. They really cared about my doggie and getting her comfortable again! I highly recommend them and will be using them as my doggies regular groomer. So happy to have an affordable, new and fantastic groomer in Schertz!!!!

This place is a awesome kennel free dog salon. They truly treat your dogs like family and absolutely love each and every one of them. They do a awesome job with all my dogs including my 2 high anxiety ones. They offer everything from just a simple nail trim to bathing and cuts as well as even doggy hair dye. I am absolutely happy that I found them. Also they do have kennels but only used if absolutely needed. I love that they will come and pick up my fur babies and drop them off if I need them to or if I want I can sit with my fur babies while they get pampered.They are truly the best around and have awesome prices as well.

Love how the dogs are not in a kennel while waiting to be groomed. They always have fantastic customer service
