No worries of getting ick from here unlike these national chains. I have had nothing but bad luck with Petsmart and Petco. Great place to shop with a nice selection.

Don’t trust this place I saw a nice coral I wanted for 15 bucks each that was thriving and he pushed them down and said he could take those off. I thought to myself will this dude thinks I’m new he just didn’t want to sell them to me at that price!! So he grabbed one that wasn’t even that good I bought it anyways because I didn’t want to make a a fuss of how dishonest that was!!! So don’t go here ever!!!!!!!

I just came here and I get my fish here I love it. I just bought a starfish for $19, a hermit crab for $12, and a gladiator clownfish for $49.

Would never buy from them! Had betta fish in cups that were disgusting and all of them had fin rot, one was even dead. They also had way too many fish in one tank. Would not recommend supporting them

I went here for the first time last week and it is one of the best tropical fish stores I have been to. You could walk into this store for almost any aquarium need and find it here. They have a wide variety of healthy plants, coral, fresh and salt water fish that were living in clean well maintained tanks. I have rarely seen some of the aquatic life I saw there in other tropical fish stores twice their size. The coral selection was amazing to see because of all the different colors and sizes. On top of all the amazing aquatic life they managed to add a variety of equipment and food as well. The maintenance alone for all of these tanks and aquatic life to stay so healthy must take a considerable amount of work and time. The only reason I didn’t give them 5 stars is because the service I received was curt. I felt that the worker wanted me to tell him what I wanted and then to get out as fast as possible. After purchasing my fish he didn’t say thank you, bye, come again, smile or anything. He asked if I needed anything else and when I said no he said ok and just walked away leaving my fish on the counter. I see other comments on how people had excellent customer service so I don’t know if the worker was having an off day or if everyone else had a different worker assist them. However, I will be going back because healthy fish are more important than customer service to me. Hopefully next time I have a more courteous employee.

Awesome small tropical/saltwater fish store. They had an awesome low boy setup for their freshwater plants that was loaded with angel fish. This shop is definitely one to check out!

Where do I begin? This place is amazing! Staff is very knowledgeable. I got my axolotl from here and was so excited. They guided me through everything. Best prices for food . Great selection of exotic fish.

This is a good store with alittle bit of everything. Great coral and saltwater fish. They have a large tank with plants for freshwater and many freshwater tanks as well. I would love to see higher end plants ans nano fish to take them to a 5 star. If I was shopping for only saltwater they would get a higher rating for sure.

I was visiting my mother in law in San Antonio, and she was having trouble with her salt water fish tank. David patiently and professionally guided my wife and me through troubleshooting a heating issue, even going so far as to provide my wife with his personal cell phone number so that we could send him pictures of the tank setup. That type of personal, caring customer service is extremely rare these days. As a result, we will make South Seas our primary stop for all of our tank needs. Thank you very much, David!

decent selection. one of the main guys there is sooo rude, had very poor customer service. the other gentlemen there however was very nice and helpful. nice place to go, but I'll be doing my business elsewhere The review wasn't solely based on the conversation about the water. Months ago when I first went it was the same thing. One gentleman was incredibly helpful and helped me determine I wanted to get into the saltwater hobby, then the other was rude, even my husband was surprised at the lack of customer service from him the first time around. I didnt write a review the first time because I intended on getting the fish, rock and food from the place that inspired it all. But after this morning, a review was needed.

Prices are on par with quality, great service and a lot to choose from. Large colony coral as well as frags. Great selection of fish both marine and freshwater plus everything from tanks, live and dry rock, and supplements. If you've never been it worth a visit...

South seas is my main LFS, they always have a great selection and wonderful coral. David at South seas is a great person with great people skills , will answer all questions and is very knowledgeable in anything fish or coral related.
