Dr Ramsey and Dr Meyer are the only 2 vets I trust with my animals to get proper care.

We have sadly had to bring two of our pets in recently, but the staff was friendly and very caring. They especially took amazing care of our cat Theon, who needed surgery - life saving surgery. We are so happy to have our baby home and he has been happy as ever. We truly appreciate everyone at Perrin 410 Hospital for helping take such great care of him.

Have been multiple times for pet care, each time I call asking if a specific time is okay, and have been told “we don’t do appointments, it’s walk-in only,” and instructed to call again when I’m actually on my way and I will be informed of …

My vet was overbooked & recommended this place. They are overpriced & my dog was in worse condition over the course of several days. Needless to say I am dumping my previous vet for this referral & would not recommend this place !! The wait was ridiculous only for them to give the wrong diagnosis. I wish I could give a rating of no stars ????.

Took in my puppy to get checked they took forever to get to me In I spent 2 hours at a vet! I felt like they were super pushy into taking an expensive route for her care and they basically told me they weren’t gonna do much cause they were closing early maybe disclose that before making an appointment. I get home and look at my receipt Which was emailed and they charged me ridiculous hidden fees after I told them what budget I was working with. I got a waste & osha fee for what!!! They didn’t use anything on her to begin with to charge me a waste fee and a clinical support fee is just hilarious at this point they need to discuss all these hidden fees . This place is a scam I have never had that happen before don’t waste your time they just want the money and they will make sure to get it. With hidden fees. Ridiculous.

Don't go there. They promise a care plan. Didn't provide one. Did all kinds of tests on my dog without telling me as promised. Dr Ramsey stated he would do a blood test as I was leaving.. The vet tech said they would send or call me with an estimate. They didn't. When I called they said he had pancreatitis. When I went to get him, my bill was $1,350. They charged for all kinds of diagnostic testing without telling me or informing me of the cost. They also never provided a receipt or a list of procedures done on my dog. Held me hostage about the charges. And wanted him back the next day. I assume for another round of charges. Still no care plan. Nothing they did was even close to the care he received at another vet clinic. His harness was soaked in urine when I came to get him. I spent another 2400 for hospitalization somewhere else. I had an estimate of every single procedure. I had a record for everything they did. But not here! I was notified and told after leaving, they were supposed to give me a care plan They know that was supposed to happen.. I was very clear that I needed them to give me an estimate. They did not. I would have taken him elsewhere for 24 hour care had I known. I never saw a bill until I started my dispute. I contacted the board of veterinary services in Austin with my concerns. I will follow up with a complaint. Not the first time I've been surprised at check out. But it is the last. Shame on you.

Our dog stepped in a sticker patch when he was using the restroom while we were traveling so we stopped in to this animal hospital and paid $237 to have them look at him. They said he didn’t have anything in his foot. Now a week and a half later I take him to his vet who has to pull a thorn out of his foot. Not impressed and would never use these services again

This used to be a good place to take your animals and get good care. I'm not sure what has happened, but they are no longer a place you want to go. 1) they really can't even call themselves an emergency vet clinic when they are no longer open from 7 am- 11pm, 7 days a week and I know that for at least 2 days this week they didn't even have a vet in office and apparently weren't even able to contact one to ask a question. 2) they prescribed my cat 3 medications that we have since learned were not even necessary. I understand they have to make money, but literally making money is all they care about

Was looking for vet open on weekends because in out of town all week .took my two yorkies to this vet and was charged for extra things that my dogs did not need .like shots I've have never heard of rattle snake vaccine. Vet only saw my dogs once. Techs where the only one seeing my dogs. Try to sell my extra stuff both times the bill was over $700 .it looks like techs get paid a commission on the more they sell .

If you love your pet DO NOT TAKE THEM HERE! I had a senior dog that started presenting arthritis problems, Dr. Ramsey gave me a bag full of medication to relieve the pain, what he didn’t tell me was that my dog’s condition was not going to improve but worsen. I spent close to 2k in consultation, labs and medications. In a matter of 2 weeks my dog could not get up at all. I kept calling the office to ask if this was due to a side effect of a medication and Dr. Ramsey would only adjust the meds, again he never mentioned my dog wouldn’t get better. To make a long story short I took him to another veterinary clinic and the he doctor was completely honest about his condition and I had to euthanize my beloved dog. here at Perrin-410 Animal Hospital they are not pet lovers but money lovers and will take you for all you have because they know you love your pet and are willing to go great lengths for the well-being of your pet.

Took my cat Hunter in for his yearly check up. Entire staff was friendly, everything he needed was well explained, and the time estimates for completion were good so it was easy to schedule work around it. We will be back!

I have been taking my dog here since 2009. Up until 2019, things have been great. My dog seemed to dislike a male vet tech and would cry anytime he picked him up or if he administered his allergy shot. The last time the vet saw my dog freaking out so he did the shot instead and my dog was fine. Also, I noticed items being added to the bill that were not disclosed. When I asked why extra items were added the vet tech was rude. After this I started taking my dog to another vet even though this is my closest veterinarian. In 2021, My dog had an emergency where he had an eye injury and the prices where higher than any other vet in the area for each item on the bill. Then again later in 2021, I called for a prescription for my dog at 7:30am, 3:00pm and still no prescription so the receptionist told me can take 2 days. Another vet was able to get me same prescription in 2 hours. If you go here make sure to read your bill to check for extra supplements that are not disclosed to you and prices are higher than most vets. My other dog was spayed at different location but i wanted to make sure her stitches were okay because she removed her collar. Vet checked her for exactly 2 minutes and said everything was fine then charged $79. I don’t know why this place has gone downhill.

You've heard of puppy mills? This is the veterinary equivalent. The only people that would go here twice are those that just don't know better. Our pets give us their best; when they're hurt or sick, they deserve our best. This place isn't that.

Emergency vet clinic my behind. How do you give someone a 0 star? They are the reason that an innocent dogs life was lost recently because they were “taking the last 2 patients.” I hope that paycheck was worth it because karma definitely will be.

I googled the nearest emergency room and found this place. I went in while my dog gasped for air and I was asked if “I called in first.” No one attended to my dying baby. While waiting to see “if dr would see us” an employee walked to …

Could not be more impressed with Dr Ramsey and everyone here. Went in on a Sunday (Halloween) middle of the day with a pup who wasn’t doing to well. Everyone was so nice and polite. Spock was seen quickly, diagnosed, and discharged with medicine within two hours. The best experience I have had since moving to SA with a vet clinic.

I have been a client for years. Let me say the Dr.s are so compassionate. But after having to wait an hour and a half with no one coming to say ANYTHING ( sorry for the wait, alot of emergencies, thanks for being patient) the waiting long periods of time is a common occurrence now, It's time for a change. After 400.00 for 3 tests, I found out my boy had cancer. Then they wanted to charge another 400.00 (approx) for euthanasia and cremation!! Craziness!! I found another vet that charged $69 for euthanazation and $120 for cremation.

I've used them for emergency care and had no complaints. I cannot recommend them for routine elective care though. Our old vet and their sister clinic closed so we established care with them for 1 of 2 dogs. Unfortunately, a chronic non-controlled med script ran out for both dogs. I get not wanting to write a script for a dog you haven't seen, but when you did see one dog and poorly documented the reason for the visit within 2 weeks of our phone call for a script refill request, and then say we have no record of those meds (which we told you about) and you can't access the shared computer system that has our old vet's records which could verify being on the script for years because you forgot the password, it's unsat. On top of that, we offered our old vet's documentation that luckily got before they closed (what's on that password protected network) and even suggested a short script to make it until we could be seen for both dogs. Nope, no dice. Your dogs have to quit a long standing medication that has consequences for abrupt discontinuation until our next available appointment which is at least a week away. No risk/benefit analysis. No willingness to communicate directly professional to professional. You leave it to your front desk staff to have to justify your opinion. So we moved our care to a new competitor in town who has an appointment availability the next day even though it costs twice your price. Attention to detail (of your documentation and what's actually said in clinic) and some customer service is worth the price for elective routine care. Update: So our old vet apparently recognized before closing some scripts were lost and called local vets, likely to include their sister clinic, about the problem and how multiple clients might reach out to them for urgent refills. Nice see their sister clinic didn't heed the request to help clients in need with timely refills.

If I could I would give 0 stars. Horrible place, scheduled a appointment for 10 am, doctor only came in at 12:45. I overpaid for medication and they did not give enough medication to fulfill the 10 days it had on the prescription. Wasted over 400 dollars and my cat still sick, had to go to a decent doctor days after.

I traveled to Texas for a week my first stop being San Antonio then Houston, but when I arrived in San Antonio my Houston airbnb updated house rules and said “No Pets”. So I found a pet suite in Houston but they required 2 vaccines for felines being Rabbies & FVRCP. So I desperately called pet clinics in the San Antonio area to get my cats vaccinated the next morning. I called everywhere and only Perrin 410 would take me as a walk in. They where very helpful and took care of my cats. I’m glad I found them!

Greta service. Very attentive. Once you get to an examination room. They need more than one veterinarian on duty on weekends. Dr Ramsey was great but he was spread far to thin.

They don't care about your pat at all they only want the money... they make sure you have money first and after they got the money you wait for a while and then they check your pet not recommend it...

I am so disappointed. This has been my favorite vet hospital for years. I took my dog there over a week ago with surgical needs. After spending 800.00 on xrays, labs, consultations she's still not on the schedule for surgery. I understand they are busy, but I was told repeatedly to call to get her on the schedule. I called for a solid week. i was told that they would call me back. Never received call backs. Very disheartening. How hard is it to schedule out and call your client? What ever happened to courtesy?

When all other animal hospitals including the one we are established with turned us away for being at capacity Perrin-410 did everything possible to make me and my fur baby feel safe and cared for. From check in to the doctors visit we were provided optimal care. Based on that my fur babies will have that as their permanent clinic.
