Dr. Tomasini was absolutely wonderful. Took his time to explain the issues and treatment for my dog. Staff was so friendly. I highly recommend this vet office!!

I've called a couple of times for info and I hear dogs in the background barking incessantly. On a Saturday (office was closed) waiting on a bus a guy in charge didn't know how to handle a dog that continued to yelp. I felt bad for the poor animal. I decided to look elsewhere for care of my 5lb 8 yr old Chihuahua.

Everyone is so very nice leaving the doctor took the time call himself and say that heave-to wanted to check to see how his patient was doing even though all she went in for was a checkup and some meds

The staff and veterinarians here are so wonderful. My female pug Ya-Ya was recently diagnosed with a mast cell tumor and they have assisted me with reaching out to an oncologist and getting her scheduled for surgery. They are extremely communicative and I will be bringing both Ya-Ya and my male pug Yanni back for routine visits and preventative care. Thank you Olmos Park Hospital.

I had an 8 a.m. appointment, at 9:15 the vet still wasn’t there. They also do not offer some basic vaccines.

I was doing laundry and wandered in, searching for a cone of shame. I immediately found the staff warm, friendly, positive, and lovely to deal with, leading to what seemed like a great first meeting with Dr. Cross who also seemed intensely devoted to getting his skin and paws better. For uncomplicated every day veterinary maintenance and care I think they might be adequate, but if you have an animal that has any kind of complication, please know this may not be the place for you. Dr. Corder seems incredibly kind but was unaware of treatment protocols and on more than one occasion was at odds with Dr. Cross's prognosis when she was not available (which happened too often to count). The veterinarian care was more than I could afford and ultimately lacking and uncoordinated. Communication with vets is often through staff and the preferred way to leave dogs in the morning for afternoon pickup makes follow-up and consistency challenging. I should have known early on when it took more than 3 weeks to hear from Dr. Cross after repeated messages that care might not be proficient. Dr.Cross presented herself expert on skin maladies and offered a treatment plan in August estimated to be about $1700, but by the time Christmas had come I had maxed out my credit card with $3000 in vet charges plus out of pocket cash to boot. It was always pitched that if I only would do everything suggested could I reasonably expect improvement. Once all had been tried and no improvement, communication became even more strained. It seemed her estimate lacked the excessive upcharges associated with the base exam cost of $38, like an additional $40 to use a pen sized black light (Wood’s Lamp), while surprisingly nothing for use of a stethoscope for the heart. When over the weeks, $160 is charged for use of a simple exam tool that costs less than that amount on Amazon, there is a problem. Excessive, expensive and ineffective. I literally spent every dollar I didn’t have chasing ill advised protocols that could have been based on tests they had in-hand. My bull terrier was suffering more than ever, and according to my new vet, early indicators for effective treatment were missed. He had high fever and a raging systemic infection that could and should have been caught. Had a more competent and engaged vet reviewed the expensive test results then I could have avoided the expensive allergy tests and treatment and instead had a plan tailored to test results and proven experience. Perhaps some undisclosed happening caused Dr. Cross to not be available or attentive for weeks on end, but consistent and informed care was not made available. Never a follow up about progress or concern expressed from her. I found a new vet a month ago and requested my files, they called and let me know I had a balance that I would need to pay. I went today to settle up and the receptionist let me know it had been sent to collections. About $300 within the month, seriously? I got much more than a cone of shame! Think twice, there are better places for your babies.

It's pricey but it's worth it. Ask for recommendations for other vet if you can't afford this one.

Best VET in San Antonio. Has taken care of all our furbabies 25+ years. Dr. Craig Corset is kind, considerate and compassionate. When one of our furbabies, my son's best friend Mickey-Dog, had to cross the Rainbow Bridge Dr. Craig sat on the floor with both our boys holding them both for 20 minutes and more crying with our son. ???? Dr. Craig is FAMILY.

I prefer a vet who can do it all! I will agree that the staff there is super friendly, but their knowledge and animal handling is lacking. Dr Corder is a nice vet, but seems to prefer to practice in his spare time right now. Additionally, their prices are outrageous!
