Update: My dog is almost 5 years older than in my first review. (He'll be 15 on 2/27/22.) Although he now has a couple of conditions that can come with old age, he is being well taken care of with professionalism and compassion...and an eye to making sure I'm not paying for something that's unnecessary or untimely. Original review: Dr. Harrison and Nañez are extremely caring vets. My 10-year-old dog is healthy and going strong in large part due to their attentive care.

I liked the vet. that my 2 dogs saw, you could tell he loves animals, even my Yorke who 's afraid to come close to anyone, she let him pick her up

It's a good clinic. My brother takes his dogs there for treatment.

Reasonable prices, so far I’ve had an awesome experience with the vets and I really love how they call you a few days later to check up on your fur babies.. I’ve never had a vet call me afterwards. Personally, those little things mean a lot to me.

Probably one of the best veterinarians I have taken my dogs to. Wicked friendly staff, awesome vet, just an all around great experience.

Idk how this was managed! But, after Dr Michael D Harrison treated my 2 male felines that had such severe wounds that I thought one was going to lose his eye. Dr Harrison saw that I’d not slept and a little scared since I’ve never owned cats before. His bed side manner and team were wonderful treating the wounds. And after all that, he took c/o their castration w/out billing me for either procedures. There are plenty of good souls in this world and I found them and keeping all my 3 cats with the clinic. From staff to the veterinarian..all are kind, caring, courteous professional and patient.

My dog was having some issues over the weekend with allergies and a skin rash I called these guys first thing Monday morning they were able to get me in the same day. I was in and out and had my dog taken care of within an hour of arriving. The staff was knowledgeable, courteous and very efficient. I'll definitely be back here for anything else my dogs need.

Second time I've taken my fur baby to this vet. Atmosphere inside is calming, clean and staff is friendly, helpful and informative. I've noticed too they don't push medications at me to buy as a previous vet did. Overall, I'm so very happy with this vet. They really take good care of my fur baby. Kudos to Dr. Harrison for his compassionate care he gives Lexi. This man cares only for the fur babies and not for the pocket book as others do. Lexi loves this man whenever she sees him! Thank you Dr. Harrison for your wonderful care you give my Lexi. I greatly appreciate you!!

The office is so clean and everyone is very friendly. It’s kind of far from me, but worth the drive.

I love this place for my dogs. I had an emergency today for my puppy and they squeezed me in asap and I am extremely grateful for them. I won't be going anywhere else.

There was absolutely nothing wrong with my previous vet except distance so begin the search. I am so glad I found this one. From the first phone call to dropping off my dog for dental cleaning to picking him, they were amazing. Everyone was pleasant and extremely helpful. Thank you.

I like this vet clinic. Doc's are great. Helpful, personable, competent. Front office staff could be a little more professional and organized. But overall I am glad I found them and have a home vet for my dogs. Prices are reasonable as well. They always try to get me in asap if I have an emergency.

Amazing place! They are so very nice.

I have to say, this is a great place to take your pets for treatment, check ups, or to get your pets fixed. Everyone is very helpful and if there is something you don't quite understand they will explain it to you in detail. I've been bringing my cats here for the past 3-4 years now. And they offer boarding as well.

Had a serious problem with my guinea pig that required surgery and his regular doctor was booked solid for a moth and unable to help us. Emergency clinics wouldn't do the surgery as it wasn't their area of expertise and they didn't want to touch him. We were so thankful to Dr. Wilcox for taking the time to look at our little guy and say that she would work him in immediately. I really do not think he would have made it had she not been able to do his surgery. He was a happy piggy after and it went great! I am forever grateful to her and this clinic for their care and compassion. I highly recommend Dr. Wilcox if you need help with your furry baby.

I have been coming to Dezavala Shavano Vet Clinic for probably close to 8 years if not more! I have 3 dogs and a cat all of which have been given the best of care! My cat is currently in heart failure and I have to go in monthly for follow up visit and I always feel like her best interest is at heart! They take the time to explain and answer all of my questions without hesitation. The wait times can vary but I am willing to deal with that cause it means they are giving someone else the same extra care and love they have shown me for years!

I was concerned about a dark spot on my cat’s stomach that didn’t used to be there so I looked up skin discoloration on cats and it says to take them to the vet to get checked out. I called and told them the situation so I could make an appointment, but the girl I spoke to said to email a photo first so she could show the vet. I thought that they wouldn’t get back to me until after they close at 1pm today (Saturday), but they left me a message almost immediately. She showed the vet and said that it just looks like he’s over grooming and it’s nothing to be concerned about. I really appreciate that they didn’t make me set up an appointment to get checked out, which I feel like most places would do just so they can charge me for an appointment. I’ve price compared the cost of an annual checkup to another well-known vet clinic and they offer a better price with the same if not better care. I’m glad I found this place and highly recommend it!

The staff is the best. The vets are kind, knowledgeable, and will tell it to you straight. I will never go anywhere else for my pets!

It was ok my baby was checked

All the staff there is amazing! But we absolutely love Dr Wilcox! She has seen us through the full life cycle of several of our fur-babies, and she's performed more than a handful of rescue surgeries. I would highly recommend anyone take their fur-babies here.

Dr Wilcox jumped through some hoops to get me my international health certificate for my dog Piccolo. She is great. Hands down 5 star service. She helped me obtain the certificate just in time when the location in Austin was dragging their feet. I would highly recommend this location for anyone. And i have no complaints whatsoever Thanks again Doc

I can't rave about this vet clinic enough. I'm disabled and I'm very high risk. They clean and adhere to covid safety protocols so well. They also have handicapped accessible entrance and rooms. The staff is pleasant, so kind and fell in love with my Edgar before the visit was over. Edgar is 75 lbs and skittish around other dogs because he used to be a stray and was attacked. They made sure the lobby was clear to keep his anxiety down were so gentle with him. Dr. Nanez is fantastic! He answers all questions, is conscientious of costs for his customers and did a great job with Edgar. And the vet techs were so awesome! Edgar had multiple shots and they made him feel safe. I can't recommend this vet's office highly enough! I'm a regular at his office now. Period.

This place actually saved my dog from getting an arsenic shot given to her due to SAPA telling me that she had heartworms and needed to undergo a treatment that would have her be bed ridden for about 3-4 weeks. My dog is an active dog and I didn't want to make her suffer like that. So I paid to get a secondary diagnosis and glad I did. This Veterinary gave my dog a shot and in six month they will re-evaluate if she has heartworms or not. I will update this review in six months and post a review for SAPA based on the six month wait for her heartworms to die off. I would highly recommend this place to anyone because they actually care about your pets not how they can make the system pay for some treatment that the dog didn't need in the first place. Why do they advertise dogs with heartworm at SAPA as a thing? Anyways this is about the DeZavala-Shavano Vet which is one of the best vets I have been too!
