Doctors and staff alike are amazing. They took such great care of our two Labradoodles for the five years we lived in San Antonio. Both Dr. McGlothlin and Dr. Fehlis are wonderful vets who clearly care about animals. They helped identify a rare birth defect in our youngest pup that we were able to correct and now he’s a big happy goofball. Yoko is also the best groomer we have ever had. I cannot recommend this veterinary practice highly enough. We will miss having them!

Angela is absolutely amazing! She treated our pets like her own. I can’t wait for her to meet our new puppy mid December. She is the most loving, kind, helpful person I know. Thank you Angela - I don’t know what we would have done without you as our dogs aged. Dr. Fehles was always super informative and tried her best to keep costs down. Thank you!

If you want your animals to live and not be misdiagnosed on something basic, then stay far from this place. Not only that but terrible customer service. Took my cat in because he had diarrhea, a vet tech took him and his stool sample inside and literally 3-5 min later the same vet tech brought him out (the parking lot was so full that people were literally parked in front of the dumpster) and said they couldn’t physically see anything wrong but would send off the sample. The few days goes by, still had not heard anything, I had to call and a receptionist told me the test was negative.. I asked if I could talk to the actual veterinarian, since I still had questions.. about an hour later a vet tech called me. Spending $200 and never talking to a vet is ridiculous in my opinion. So just in all was not impressed with them.. THEN my cat continued to have diarrhea, since I didn’t trust this place, I decided to take him to another vet.. this new place I took him to also sends their samples to a lab, but told me since the parasite he ended up having can a lot of times not be detected through the lab they check for that specifically themselves before they send the sample out. After finding out that cibolo had missed the parasite he has I called and was basically told that I should have brought him back to them and they would have done ANOTHER stool sample to try and figure out what it was..THERE ARE OTHER REVIEWS OF THEM MISSING OR MISDIAGNOSING ANIMALS

This place is awesome. As a former technician I always have hesitation when deciding on a new vet. I’m a hands on fur mom and knowingly needy. Both doctors and all technicians I have seen since moving to San Antonio have been welcoming, kind, understanding and not to mention hilarious! The entire staff remains upbeat and attentive while working through a pandemic. The doctors have been profession and personable, even cracking medical jokes with me. I highly recommend this clinic for anyone who enjoys education and professionalism because they are guaranteed to provide you both! Thank you for caring and loving my kiddos. Thank you for providing excellent care!

Cibolo Canyon Vet has been nothing but wonderful to us. From assisting us when it was time to say goodbye to our old man (see pic) and helping guide us with our new guy, they have been excellent. I really like how they examine the pet and then give you options. They don’t just expect you to pay thousands, but allow you to make decisions. They also give advice and I have never felt like they were trying to goad me into procedures or labs that I didn’t want. I have met both vets and they are very friendly, very professional, and very thorough. The staff is excellent, friendly, attentive, and professional. I love the convenience of their location and will continue to take our pets here for years to come.

Absolutely love the doctors and staff at CCVH. I totally trust them to give the best care possible to my pets. I relocated out of the Stone Oak area and choose to continue to commute 35 miles to use their services.

Place is great Only place I've taken my dog in san Antonio Staff is friendly and cares about the animals, not sure if rates are higher than other outfits but it is worth it for the service they provide Good piece of mind to know your animal is in good hands with this group

A nice facility, but super expensive. They try and upsell you on unnecessary procedures. If you live nearby I'd recommend driving extra time to find an alternative.

So I adopted a kitten whom I absolutely love. She came to me needing her rabies shot and her third fvrcp vaccine. I found this place that was close to home and had okay reviews. I went here on a Saturday. Place smelled like animal which is fine because it is a veterinary hospital however it also smelled moldy and came across kind of dirty. Went into the kitten room with a tech and while I’m trying to find medical history they are listing off all the vaccines my kitten needs. I tell them that she does not need all her shots as I have a record of her medical history as well as all future vaccines she needs from where I adopted her from (thank San Antonio pets alive! ) and I asked them to just give me a minute to find it. Finally found it and they are still listing off everything she needs. Me being a first time cat owner, i put my trust in them and decided to go with what the vet was saying because they are the specialist. So I walked out around $387 dollars later. This included a physical, 3 vaccines, a poop sample (which they didn’t even tell me about ), and a prescription for revolution flea and ticket topical treatment (which they didn’t even tell me about just put it on my tab) I was upset about the price but thought that it was what my kitten needed so I bit the bullet. When I left I was told to come back in 3 weeks for her final fvrcp and felv and I also was told that she would not need a vet physical because she had already had one (psa: they charge 52 dollars for every physical they do with a policy that every cat that goes there needs to have a physical before they are serviced). I went back thinking it was gonna be a lot cheaper and give them another chance. They charged me for another physical and an fvrcp vaccine as well as an felv vaccine. It was around $80. I reached out to the woman I had adopted from and she informed me that unless my cat goes outdoors and unless I get another cat that tests felv positive, I should never have to vet this vaccine. I was sad to hear this because the vet didn’t tell me any of this information. Fast forward a couple months. I get another kitten. I decide to go elsewhere. The vanguard mobile clinics are amazing. I went there to get the same exact shots I needed for my first cat. They informed me that unless I saw something in his poop, a poop sample would not be needed. They also said because he’s only indoor and him and his sister tested felv negative, I would not need to get him that vaccine. I spend $30. I went back for his last fvrcp. $20 bucks. Cibolo canyons veterinary hospital is over priced, pushy, and a rip off. I can say that most of the staff was pleasant. (Except one of the techs. I can’t remember her name but she has blonde hair blue eyes and is one of the main reasons I will not be returning because she treated me like I was incompetent). Please do not go here as there are more affordable places with nicer staff here.

Great, caring staff. I've been coming here for two years and I've been amazed with the service every visit! My partner and I are moving to West Texas, but we'll be bringing our cat back for her annual check-ups!

Our cat had a friskies addiction and had been overweight his whole adult life when, of course, he developed diabetes symptoms, prompting a visit to this vet. The vet was condescending and we found her services to be completely useless. She prescribed an overly expensive food, but after doing my own research on proper feline nutrition I disregarded her expensive food and got him to lose 10 lbs, resolving his diabetes myself. The pet food industry, Purina in particular, fills pet food with inexpensive corn, which cats have no business eating at all as they are strict carnivores. Then Purina formulates expensive diet foods for the health problems that their junk cat food caused in the first place.

Our two dogs have been CCVH patients for 10 years and an older dog long before that. We love the staff, who have great communications among themselves and with pet parents. We love the docs because they're technically great (diagnostic skills CANNOT be beaten) but also have great pupside manner. The whole practice is outstanding!

We’ve had our pets continuously taken care of at Cibolo Canyons and they have the best team of animal care givers. They not only provide outstanding care for your fur babies but they are also straight forward with potential options and what is best for your individual needs.

I don't live nearby, but I have brought my 9 rescue dogs over a decade to Cibolo and cannot praise each and every staff member for their concern, care and character with my pets. Donna is a charm and she runs a busy practice with the best workers I have ever experienced. The Docs are fantastic and my dogs have benefited so much. Before they get underway, they always offer me options based on costing and care... and I know this is not like many vet clinics where dogs get misplaced, medicines lost, or a type of assembly-line pet care. Do yourself and YOUR PET a favor and see a great operation and great people treating your dogs with the best care. My rescue dogs are happy camper because of Donna and her crew.... oh ya - the Doctors are hot!

Very attentive to your pets needs. The vet took the time to answer all of my questions. She gave adequate time and attention to my pet. Their fees and associated costs are on the upper end. However, I highly recommend the clinic and will continue to return.

Our boxers have been seeing Dr's McGlothlin and Fehlis for about 10 years at Cibolo Canyons vet hospital and we couldn't be more pleased. We have been seen for everything from routine exams and immunizations to surgeries, cancer and emergency situations here. Donna the office manager is always quick to get us in and greets us with a smile. The Dr's and vet techs are thorough and explain every procedure or recommendation with great attention to detail. And if they can't handle it, they will know who can and refer you out. They treat you and your pet with respect and the utmost care. I would recommend them in a heartbeat!
