Kinda pricey. I have to say, this vet is probably one of the most expensive I’ve ever visited. However, the vet and the techs are nice and super helpful. My dogs and cats seem to like it.

Clean place first time there

The location is easy to find with ample parking place The facility is very clean and has pleasant ambiance for the pets; the staff are very friendly and efficient. The vet, Dr. Vara is awesome! She's very professional and knowledgeable yet kind and considerate. We feel very confident and have peace of mind that we get the right service each time. AND the kennel and pricing are absolutely perfect for our needs.

Have seen the place for years and have heard very good comments about them but had never stoped by just because there are closer vets to my house, but having taken my dog for the first time, have say I'm very please so far, the vet seems very knowledgeable and professional I feel very confident I made the right choice

Dr. Vara and here staff are awesome. My dog was having ear trouble and I took him to Dr. Vara and she checked him out and prescribed some meds and my dog was better in two weeks. The staff is very friendly. It is almost impossible to get an appointment with a vet these days but Bandera Rd Animal Hospital was able to see us the very next day. Thank you and your staff very much.

I visited Bandera Road Animal Hospital this week when my primary Vet was "too busy" to see my lil' angel Sophie, while I was disappointed in my normal veterinarian's response, I was impressed on the customer experience I received from Dr. Vara and the Staff at BRAH. Not only did they make time to see my Sophie, they treated her with care and compassion, thanks to them, Sophie is getting better day by day! If your furbaby is as important to you as Sophie is to myself, then you cannot go wrong with choosing Dr. Vara and BRAH. Thank you for taking care of my beloved pet.

I am very grateful to Dr. Vara for taking care of my puppy without being her patient and without an appointment. I totally recommend Dr. Vara's clinic.

Dr. Vara is very kind, knowledgeable and cares for animals. Prices are great for the service they provide. They send reminders in mail when your pet is due for anything. They call you the day before to remind you of appointments and call you when meds or food orders are ready for pick up. They call to check up on your pet after a visit if your pet was sick and the staff is super friendly. They offer curbside and let you inside the building to speak with the Dr. They follow Covid protocols with masks being required inside and a clean lobby. They don't offer walk ins and go by appointment only. So call ahead y'all. They book up fast and for good reason. They're awesome ???? and always take new clients. Open on Saturdays too!!! ????????????????

This will be my only vet I will ever go too. They are truly the best. I love their staff and how much they care for my animals.

I have taken my Pomeranian to her for year's when health problems come up because he has a bad habit of eating no no stuff. Recently my lab began having health problems we took her to one vet but weren't satisfied and felt they were way overcharging. So we brought her here for treatment. I find the prices agreeable the vet and staff caring and my dog was more than comfortable to follow the staff back for her check up.

Love this clinic and how well they care for our dogs! Had a scare last Spring with one of our dogs Ollie and had to do regular testing to make sure he was recovering well and Dr. Vara and the rest of the staff were so kind in their handling of a scary situation.

I called initially trying to find a cheap exam visit, it was 46 I think so I show up to take three of my animals. Needless to say I spent 1500.00 there that day and left with flea meds , heart worm meds for all and allergy medication for two animals. Puppy shots and dewormer as well. I’m not going to lie I enjoyed the fact that I was inside with them during COVID. I have taken my babies to get checked twice before this and felt like they didn’t receive what they should, since I couldn’t go in with them to make sure they actually had an exam, but I still felt like I paid way too much money for what I got. My babies are mine and I’d do anything including give up all my money to get them taken care of, however I felt like maybe I was still charge way too much. Idk may be I’m wrong. But the doctor there was so sweet! She made me feel comfortable completely! For that I thank you! I will be back when I have the cash!

Dr Lori Vara is such a wonderful Vet. Highly recommended!

Dr. Vara has been at this location for 30some years. She and her staff took excellent care of my dogs. Pay the extra money. She is worth it!

HOW CAN YOU NOT LIKE THIS PLACE! The complaints that I see are about pricing....this is your family member, would you go to the cheapest heart surgeon if you needed surgery? Dr. Vara is very nice. She listens to what you say and asks questions to get a total understanding of the situation. The staff is helpful and does not make you feel stupid even if you have actual stupid questions. This is not the fanciest place I've been to, but the Dr. and Staff love on my animals and you just can not do better than that!

The vet is outstanding and is very compassionate with the animals that texts are excellent with my pet it's convenient for me to get there because I can take the bus to HEB and roll half a block and there I am I say roll because I'm in a wheelchair I use a wheelchair they also accept Care credit if you qualify

A bit pricey for my budget but Bella needs her shots.

They saved Jitterbugs life when she was a pup.

Great services at great price

This place is dirty and stinky. Front office staff was nice but the vet was very socially awkward and doesn’t communicate well. We took our pup in for a sick visit and bill was $300 for sick visit, stool sample, and 2 antibiotics. We took our pup in recently to St. Francis of Assisi vet and it was night and day. Clean facility that doesn’t stink. Vet with good communication skills. Spent $300 as well but it was much better bang for our buck - sick visit, heartworm test, 6mo heartworm preventative, all the shots, and two medications. There are definitely better places out there.

Definitely do your research before coming here. Spent 600 on 2 dogs for basic vaccines. Both were healthy.
