Your fish area is nasty, everything is covered on black mold and a lot of fish are dead. It's really sad.

My son and I went in to return an item I had purchased at another petsmart location. We wanted to browse the fish to see if we saw any we wanted to stock our new tank with. There was an employee getting numerous dead fish out of the tanks. There were still an abundant amount of dead fish. Most of the tanks are in really bad shape. We did not purchase any fish, and when I asked about the tank cleaning she got very defensive and of course blamed Covid and being understaffed. The other location I had been at previously, 6 miles away didn't seem to be having any problems despite being short staffed. This is the reason chain pet stores get such a bad reputation. Otherwise transaction went smoothly and I was able to complete what I went in there for.

I was buying items for my Betta fish and noticed that all of the Bettas were in horrible condition, several were dying. The water was dirty and some Bettas were gasping for air. Spoke to a young lady and she said that someone that works there was changing the water to regular tap water instead of condition. Almost begged for her or someone to take care of the problem. I've been to several PetSmart and this one was terrifying. Broke my heart to see the condition of the Bettas, I almost wanted to clean the water for them. Hopefully this review makes a change.

The Workers and Shoppers are very friendly. Our Pitbull never has anxiety going in. It is like a toy store for him. Special shout out to Jason for being super attentive to Dakota.

I went into this location looking for a pet snake when I got to the habitat none of the CSR’s knew what they were talking about so they had to call in “the snake specialist” and the snake specialist let us pick the snake up out of the tank and the snake struck at me. They then proceeded to Tell us that the snakes had just been received today and that the employees didn’t even know the more for genetic history of the snake or the didn’t know the feeding habits. Train your employees, if Hadn’t reacted quickly I would’ve been bitten. I’m livid!

Everything you'll need for the furbabies and more. I can find anything and everything for my pups and kittens, from cheap to nicer things, which is a good thing when you are on a budget. I love the rewards app as well.

I booked my and my mom's dogs first grooming appointments and was super excited to get them professionally bathed. I booked more than a week in advance. On the DAY BEFORE our appointment, my mom got a text that her appointment was cancelled. I called and they said her groomer was injured and could not handle a dog over 10lbs. I had to mention that the same groomer also had my dog who was over 10lbs, but his appointment was not cancelled. After talking to multiple people and being on hold, I finally just cancelled both, because no one seemed to know what was going on AT ALL. VERY frustrating.

I live closer to another location but prefer driving to this one. Natalia also provided exceptional customer service when I reached out about an in store event. Worth the extra drive.

Revision- Spoke to Jason, the manger, and he has more than made it right. I get to bring my dog back in and he'll redo his grooming and also gave me a 30% off coupon for the next service. I'll keep going here but only booking with Jason! Brought my Shiba Inu here multiple times before today and didn't have a problem. Today someone else groomed him, apparently the manager, Kiki and we won't be going back. If I pay $55 for my dog to be de-shedded, l expect him to look at least slightly different. He was given back to us with his undercoat still very much there and still wet. It doesn't even look like they tried to brush him. Not happy, huge waste of money. I'll be going back to Petco.

Took my new puppy and went to PetSmart for a new experience. We met new people, walked around up and down the aisles, and bought a few new goodies. The staff was helpful.and I found what i was looking for.

We went to PetSmart in Rowlett today and the fish section was in DEPLORABLE conditions! At least two tanks had almost all the fish in those tanks vacuumed to the intake valves all dead, looked like a small mountain of fish corpses in those two tanks. Almost every tank had more than one dead fish and ALL the tanks had this gray volcanic looking type of ash coating the bottom of the tanks and decor. The one turtle they had looked starving and the betta section was the best looking out of the whole area but even they had about four cups that had YELLOW water in it with the betta looking sick and sad. It truly angered me being there and I definitely would not buy a fish from there without being nervous it would get my fish at home sick! I did not have my phone on me when I went inside or else I would have taken pictures!!!

They can't seem to keep any insects in stock to feed my lizards, they are sold out of crickets and decent mealworms every day of the week because they don't care about their customers.

This review is directed to the fish section ONLY. The rest of the store is great, but the fish tanks are horribly depressing. Fish dead, and/or sick - struggling and dying. Tanks are over crowded and the filter intake is too strong for the smaller fish so they're just stuck struggling or dead in heaps sucked up on the covers. Heart breaking. Why such quantity over quality? Having 1 40 gallon tank, I understand the hard work and attention that goes into the maintenance so I can understand why this might be an overwhelming job to the employees there but unfortunately this comes across as cruelty and neglect to the customers. I came in happy at the prospect of finding a new oranda goldfish and left sad and depressed.
