It is my first time here and I’m so glad they could fit me in last minute. I brought in my python for a check up and they’ve been super informative and letting me know what’s gonna happen each step of the way. I will be back in the future.

The best Dr in Texas works here, Dr Todd Murphy. He is not just an amazing doctor but a kind human too. I travelled from Houston to Austin so he could operate on my pups torn acl. My experience here was exceptional, I highly recommend this vet.

We love the staff and we are so glad this practice is here.

This is a very informative, friendly vet office. They we're able to accommodate international vet certificate in a clear and concise manner. He brought things to our attention that he has encountered issues with that we may not be aware of. Absolutely enjoyed or experience here!!!

The team here in RoundRock is absolutely amazing, every time we bring our dogs here the always call back to check in and when examining them they make me feel comfortable and are 100% honest which I love . I wouldn’t take them anywhere else even if I moved 50mins away . My dogs are like my kids and I will only take them to them best which I Believe is here

Dr. Murphy has been taking care of our pets for years. He always tells it like it is and gives us the same choices he would give himself in various situations. Really appreciate how he will do whatever it takes to help our pets. The entire team at Sam Bass Veterinary Wellness and CTCH are top notch professionals.

We moves our 4 rats here after not being able to get appts with our previous vets. We loved Dr. Todd Murphy :-) Also everyone at the desk was personable and friendly!

They try to charge you for services not requested, even after you make an appointment for a particular procedure. CHECK YOUR INVOICE! These people will go for your wallet with a smile on their faces.

If you have a cat, don't you dare take them here. This vet clearly prioritizes and specializes in the care of dogs. My experience with them was wonderful with my dog. I assumed they would handle my cats' needs, but was mistaken. Firstly, my wait time inside of the room before being greeted by the technician was 45 minutes. Then, she began handling my cat extremely wrong, and my cat reacted. The technician then insisted she needed to sedate my cat before being able to perform a routine medical exam. I expressed concern about sedating her unnecessarily, and asked if there was another technician who could try to examine her. The technician scoffed at me and continued to harass my cat and making rude comments dismissing how clearly distressed she was. Another 45 minutes goes by and she informs me i'll need to perform a urine sample BY MYSELF, and charged me nearly $300 for the exam she was not "able" to complete. My cat is STILL not taken care of three days later because the kind folks who work here neglected to charge me for the urinalysis when i dropped off the sample. So, I was rudely called and demanded to give them more money to obtain the RESULTS of the test to then EVENTUALLY get her medicine. I'm appalled, and honestly if i could give negative stars i would. i am so angry i could scream.

This is a 5 star Vet! First visit - the staff is so nice and professional- they were prepared and ready for us. Dr. Murphy was clear, concise and up to speed on the latest science which is important to me. I thought it was very affordable and felt the health of my dog was a primary focus. Very impressed and plan to move from my Vet to this office for the new year.

My partner and I took our 2 cats here one is an adult and the other is a kitten. We had Todd Murphy as our vet and he was amazing and very sweet to our cats, all around the experience was great and I felt comfortable with him handling our cats!

Dr Wilson is outstanding, Pumpkin our orange Tabby has suffered with ear/neurological issues. She listened to me with concern, got on the floor with him to put him at ease while observing him, gave me her plan of action, 5 days in and he is so improved. Forever grateful.

Scheduled a spay and two vaccines. A spay is advertised for $65, a vaccine for $25. When I delivered my pet to Sam Bass Veterinary, I was given an invoice for charges for services exceeding $750, including charges for a tracking chip, testing for feline leukemia, and post surgery antibiotics. I've had many pets spayed or neutered over the years and I've never been charged for services I didn't order or need. Nor have I ever, until going to Sam Bass Veterinary, had a vet condescend (supposedly for my good and the well-being of my pet) to include over $600 in fees for services I never requested or scheduled. RE: Owner's Reply You intentionally included services and fees that I did not request when I scheduled an appointment to have my pet spayed. Why? To maximize your profit at my expense? It's not enough for you to simply vaccinate and spay, as requested. Apparently, you can't safely spay a cat unless you charge hundreds of dollars for additional services. I will never return to your facility. You can be honest about your methods, or keep blaming the customer for being stupid enough to sign your invoice "for potential charges," as your desk clerk delicately put it. Enjoy your profits!

They took care of my dog when no one else would!!! Way more affordable than all the other places we’ve taken our dogs! Highly recommend!

They took very good care of my chinchilla, so sweet and didn’t hurt him one bit! Receptionist was the kindest ever, I totally recommend this vet!!

I met with Dr. Todd Murphy today. First of all, the office is so welcoming. Amazing photographs of different pet clients done by their receptions decorate the walls. The waiting room was large and bright, so people are able to distance themselves from other animals if needed. The staff was very friendly. My 14.5 year old dog had a mast cell tumor removed in June and a few weeks ago another one with the same symptoms popped up. Dr. Murphy was fantastic. He didn't push one single treatment but instead gave me several options that we could try which included surgery, traditional Western medicine and some natural homeopathic options, including addressing her diet. He took into account her age, my expectations, my budget and her quality of life. A lot of vets will immediately suggest surgery because of the tumor or immediately rule it out because of her age. Dr. Murphy understands that every case is different and you can't look at an animal by data and test results. The holistic approach is definitely something I was looking for and I think we will see positive results. I believe we are in the best hands for this diagnosis and I can't recommend him enough. P.S they had the cutest wallpaper in my exam room and I especially loved it because one of the dogs looks just like my olive!

Kind and profession care is assured by Dr. Murphy and the wonderful staff. The prescription animal food is priced competitively. There is normally at least a 20 minute wait before seeing the doctor, so plan accordingly. After years of taking our critters to Dr. Murphy, we feel it is well worth the wait for his excellent and empathetic care. I check my email while waiting.

The staff are kind, courteous, professional, and efficient. I highly recommend Sam Bass Veterinary Wellness for cat needs. Dr. Murphy is respectful and caring in the event of a euthanasia. His kindness gave me great comfort when my little kitty Fred had to go to heaven.

My pup had surgery done here and it went great, water therapy was amazing and care instructions after were very thorough. It’s clear that Dr. Murphy knows what he’s doing and cares about his clients!

Everyone was very compassionate when we had to have our old cat, Freya, put to sleep. We spent some quality time with her in a private room as she took her last look out the window. The staff even sent us a sympathy card afterwards. It made this sad time tolerable.

We have been very happy with the staff here. Dr. Murphy has helped many of our pets while keeping the cost implications in mind. He has seen our dogs, cats, chickens, and chameleon.

Staff is extremely friendly and so good to our pups!

Can’t recommend Sam bass vet enough if you’re looking for somewhere to take your pet. Dr Murphy is full of knowledge and will answer any and all questions you have. I’ve taken my golden retriever here for 2 ACL surgeries now and both have been wonderful thanks to Dr Murphy and the staff. They’re all reliable and professional and have always helped us with any questions we’ve had regarding recovery or post op TPLO. Highly recommend taking your animal here!

Appreciate the staff taking care of my pup with love and patience. I only gave it 4 stars because the wait time was a bit longer than I would have liked! Sometimes its worth the wait for good care.

The exotics “doctor”; Dr.Murphy does not care about you or your animals. Take your exotics anywhere but this facility. A dead snake or lizard is nothing but compost to these people. Avoid ineptitude and take your beloved pets somewhere else. P.S. The woman working reception; MJ, was sweet, polite and cooperative even after I got frustrated that doctor Murphy refused to answer even a single question of mine regarding my animals unexpected death. She is not to Blame. She did her job to the best of her ability. It’s not her fault the doctor is a heartless monster.

I called Sam bass out of no where concerning my dog who had never been there , and they understood my urgency and helped immediately and got him medication and everything squared away! This is now my family Vet!
