Don't be late, mix up appointments or forget to confirm via text, phone call and email! They note your record and judge accordingly!

They held my dog for 10 days and put him on antipsychotic medication without my consent. They refuse to refill it now yet gave it to him for 10 days while they held him after an incident with another dog? I’ll be seeking legal advice Because I did not consent to those medications and now that I want more for him, I get told no. Well I signed off on those two medications they freely without my consent prescribed him.

This is a great place to take small animals. It’s the only animal clinic I’m willing to take my rabbits to. I live in Greenville and am absolutely willing to drive to Rockwall to keep my pets healthy.

I brought my rabbit in for an exam. No issues with scheduling an appointment. They were able to get her scheduled for a spay within a couple days. She had a complication after surgery but they took care of her asap after the weekend and my little Stanley is back to normal. I appreciate this staff so much, and will bring any future pets to this location.

I took my bearded dragon to an emergency appointment last Thursday. When I called they told me to get her there asap. I had her there at 7:50 and instead of helping her, they put her in an incubator while continuing to go about their day with their other NON emergency appointments and she died. I called multiple times to check on her and was told Dr. Smith was with other appointments. After several hours of this we went to pick her up to take her to another vet and she was dead, they did not even know that she had passed or did anything to try and save her. If I would have known they were not going to see or do anything I would have taken her to another veterinarian. Dr. Smith and her staff are not compassionate and we were told it was only a dragon. They also did not tell us when we called that they are NOT reptile certified. This should be disclosed when calling for an emergency appointment. Please be very careful if you are taking a reptile or exotic to this vet as they are not reptile certified. I have reported this to the state as well. I am still in shock that they let this happen to my dragon after I left her for an emergency appointment. She was like family and this did not have to happen. This VET never reached out to apologize but has had her friends and husband post reviews and attack me and my family.

Dr. Curtis Has been an amazing asset to our Pet family! She has taken care of our cats and dogs as if they were her own. Her staff has been professional, caring, and hands-on. I cannot say enough about the professionalism and the care that goes into every visit that I have had with them

took my pet in to an EMERGENCY appointment because he was dying (after they told me they could help and to bring him asap) and instead of helping him, they sat him in an incubator while continuing to go about their day with their other NON emergency appointments. my pet died. and they did nothing to help. i believe i could’ve done more than they did, or at least he could’ve died with his mom. but instead he suffered in a container waiting on help that never came until it was too late. and this is after i called multiple times asking what they were doing to help (as i couldn’t go inside) and every time i was told the vet was in a new appointment. just breaks my heart i even brought him now.... still charged me almost $100 as well!! for absolutely nothing.

Bad service, it is a shame, they used to give a good service and care about our furbabies. *) They gave us medicine for 2 years!! and 35% at a higher price than Chewy or Walmart. *) They were taking care of my fur baby, I called them to make an appointment I explain that he was very sick, that it was an emergency (on a Thursday, they gave me an appointment for Monday). They just did not care about him. I had to look for another Vet immediately, when I explain what was happening they told me to go ASAP and help us. I am so disappointed and I do not recommend them .

We recently had to say goodbye to our 15 year old fur baby. VCA staff could not have been more wonderful during this very difficult time for us. We will always recommend this place and their awesome staff.

The team at VCA Ridge Road is amazing, especially Dr. Smith. Her care for my Tobi girl has been amazing. The respect shown between her and the staff is second to none. I gladly travel through 3 cities to take my dog to this facility.

Dr. Smith and her team at VCA Ridge Road Animal Hospital are amazing! I’ve been trusting my many animals to their care for several years now. You won’t find a Veterinarian who has more passion for animals and people than Dr. Smith. Vanessa and the staff are fantastic to work with as well. You won’t find a better animal clinic around!

The vet was awesome. She even showed me a video of procedure on her phone. My turtle is much happier.

Dr. Smith is the best! My dogs love her and she is always willing to go the extra mile for us. She even told us something none of us wants to hear...that our dog was overweight! But it was a great wake up call and now our golden retriever is happier and healthier than ever. Thanks VCA and Dr. Smith!

VCA had a first time appointment set at $25 ended up being $145!! I took my kitten in because she was having gunk build up in her ear. They charged me $20 extra just to clean her ears out where as my old vet clinic would have done it for free. Then the doctor told me it would be extra to do a scraping and look at it in a microscope...seriously??? Thankfully according to my bill statement they didn't charge me for that. He determined she had an ear infection and charged me out the wazoo for the medication ($100.00) Needless to say, will not be returning. 1 stars because of friendly staff, safety due to covid, and and my cat is doing better for now but this is one of those places that really likes to take advantage of pets in need and stick it to your wallet.

I was told to come pick up my dogs medicine from 8:00-2:00 Saturday morning and I showed up over 30 minutes before closing and no one was here. I would think twice about coming here.

Dr. Sealock is an awesome veterinarian who genuinely cares for family fur babies and really takes his time asking all the right questions to determine any health issues! I have a Belgian Malinois who can get anxious at the vet and he is so good with him which I think really comes from understanding the Malinois and Shepherd breeds. His kind, calm energy naturally had a calming effect on my stressed pup! His whole staff was great, from the moment we walked in and received a friendly greeting at reception, the vet techs / nurses who helped us and of course Dr. Sealock too. **This is also the only vet clinic I could find in the Rockwall /Rowlett/ Heath area that carried the Thimerosal-free Rabies vaccine! Thank you all! **

WARNING!! So many tragic stories coming out of this hospital due to negligence and greed! ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS SEARCH THEIR NAME ON ROCKWALLIAN, amongst many other reviews.

It’s nice to see all of the reviews regarding professionalism and the expertise of the Vet. and Staff. That doesn’t however diminish the absence of the most basic characteristic all pet owners expect when leaving our pets in your care.... a safe and secure environment. Last month, one of our family’s dogs was left for a post-op checkup. Upon arrival to pick up the dog, the staff couldn’t locate her. She had escaped out of their building, wandered onto the adjacent highway, was struck by a car and killed. This incident has more to do with common sense than common care. While inexcusable, we hope you have put the processes in place to prevent pet owners from picking up their pet out on the highway deceased rather than in your clinic.

We’ve taken our pets to this clinic for the last 8 years going back to Dr. Sealock. Once Dr. Smith came into the practice, the care and compassion that our animals received has been excellent. Dr. Smith goes above and beyond to make sure that everyone involved is comfortable with the plan of care presented. She is always available to answer any questions that we have.

They also did not tell us when we called that they are NOT reptile certified. This should be disclosed when calling for an emergency appointment. I went today to pick up my dragon's cremation and they did not spell her night right and refused to fix that, I paid for that. The hospital manager Vanessa McMillen is very rude and has zero compassion, she informed me that it was just a dragon and was yelling and continued to lie about what they did. The police had to be called just so I could get my dragon's medical records and cremation. I received the paperwork from the visit and I took her at 7:50am and Dr. Smith did not see her until 10:30 and on her report she stated that something severe was going on and she need to X-ray and bloodwork but no one called us or anything, instead they put her in an incubator and she continued to see other appointments that were not an emergency and by the time we could get there it was too late. I would avoid this veterinarian if you have a bearded dragon or any exotic. This has been reported to the state.

Dr. Smith is so knowledgeable and helpful. She carefully explained everything about our first puppy visit and gave me so much helpful information!! And she's gentle and fun-loving. I'm bringing my 37-year-old parrot there next week!

My 21 year old step son on his own caring and money dropped his dog off to be boarded after it was fixed so it could get proper car as he was busy with work. Unfortunately due to the negligence of VSA and not secure if the dog at the end of the night it got out of an emergency door to what is suppose to be a fenced in area. The fence had been down for several weeks but I guess it wasn’t a pressing issue for VCA. The dog got out and with no fence up went on to an adjacent highway and was struck and killed by a car. The fence was miraculously fixed within hours of our dog dying. Pure and total negligence on the part of VCA. To top it off we read several other complaints on Facebook about dogs getting out of this location. Shame on them.

We recently visited Devin Curtis for our dog Sophie! Their team is absolutely amazing. Customer service is on point even with Covid thrown in the mix. Anytime we have questions or concerns about our dog, they always help us with a solution. If you need an amazing Veterinarian who cares, GO SEE DEVIN!
