One star for the way we were treated at the front desk. This girl needs another profession, away from people and animals. My dog has all her shots, but for a distemper. Our vet does not recommend that shot. She received that shot for the first three years of her life, and she is five now. This is the first time I had any trouble getting my 13 pound shih tzu groomed.

Salty Dog Pet Resort took very good care of our Bichon Frise when we were visiting Rockport. We trusted them with our beloved family member. It was our third time using them when we return to Rockport for vacation. This is the first time we used their grooming services to give Lucy a bath before returning home. She looked very good and well brushed out. The only reason for giving a 4 and not a 5 is the inconsistency of information that is communicated. The front desk ladies seemed to have different answers to the same question causing confusion. For example, we understood a bath was $12 but ended up paying $46 when we picked up Lucy. On another occasion, we were told they were closed on Sunday and Mondays for doggie daycare, and then another person said they were open, and then on the day of going on a Monday, they were teaching a CPR class which limited the dogs' time in the yard and social interaction. Our recommendation is for the front desk folks are all on the same page about services, costs, and opening/closing days.

It seems after picking are dog lulu up from here after 3 days she either has a broken toe or sores on her foot so bad she can't walk on it. We got her shots and check by are vet in dallas who has seen her for 5 years and she was completely healthy. I don't trust this place and believe they hurt my dog

Take my dog's to play once a week. they love going and I know they are well Taken care of. Pipi and Molly have also stayed for boarding. Fantastic staff and facility.

It was good, but it would be better if you could park closer to the wash area.

Great place for a quick drop in nail clipping, in and out in 5 minutes, capable, friendly staff.

We were on vacation and did not know rockport beach does not allow pets. We saw great reviews for this facility so decided to leave out pup in their care. When we picked him up and made it back to our hotel we noticed something was off, i petted him and when i got closer to his tell he started crying . I looked to see what was wrong and noticed that his testicles were bubbly red and looked burned . My husband called to speak to someone about what happened and their response was it would have to wait till Tuesday, mind you this happened on a Saturday and we live 3 hours away.After taking our loved one to the vet they said they believe it was some type of chemical burn. We trusted them with our baby and now our baby is in pain and cries when we get to close .

Great place for doggie kennel!

Sooooo the doggy wash thingy is frikkin AMAZING! $10 to wash, rinse, flea shampoo, and dry your dog!! Excellent value and it gets the job done. No messy bathroom or back ache from ending over a bathtub!! WORTH IT!!

Last time (a couple years ago) when we took our girls for grooming, when we brought them home, they were loaded with fleas!! That caused an infestation in our home, which is why we never went back

We come to Rockport often to see my grandmother. Sometimes, we need a place for our pup to stay. They have been amazing and she seems to love going! I am very pleased to have found them.

Bubba loves all the girls there. He always has fun.

In addition, their prices are fair and reasonable. Salty Dog has a fantastic staff. I have used their services for nearly 20 years. All of our dogs are excited and happy to go there whether it's for a playdate, grooming, or overnight kenneling. None have ever shown signs of anxiety upon arrival. On the contrary, they look forward to going there. To me this is a true test of good quality of care in handling my pet family member! I strongly recommend Salty Dog Pet Resort to anyone. Pat B.

We go to Salty Dog for grooming our mini Aussiedoodle, Gunner. Gunner seems happy to go, and looks happy when we pick him up. He looks SO CUTE! They are fantastic!

Great ladies who really love the fur babies there. I thought I would have to drop my boy Red off for his nails to get done and they did him in like 2 minutes for me and sent us on our merry way. Awesome!

Best place to bring your dog I've ever been. Staff is great with the animals and u can tell they truly love the animals and their jobs.

The staff is wonderful at the Salty Dog!! Our little guy had a rough morning and to be groomed quickly...the staff at the Salty Dog were able to get him in right away. We know he was treated like the little prince he is. He came back looking SO adorable!! I even got a call from the staff a few weeks later to ask how he was doing and if we were satisfied with the services. We will definitely be back for more pampering of our little prince!!
