Been taking pets here for years and the place has always been amazing until recently. As with many businesses the level of service has declined greatly since COVID. As an example, I took my sick dog in for some help, blood work and urine included. I've been waiting since the 22nd for lab results but am told the Dr who reads then is out until January 2nd. My dogs health is not their priority. Test results I paid for.

Each of the staff we’ve met is kind and knowledgeable. There’s no judgement at this clinic and the team seems to sincerely care for the animals and individuals alike. Pricing is always thoroughly discussed, so there’s never a surprise or the event you’re talked into something you cannot afford. Dr. Gilbertson is a true professional whose intelligence is only matched by her compassion. She is world class.

My misty,first physical exam and the receptionist there were very pleasant, and friendly.The vet,aide was very knowledge and her work.Gave misty her temperature and misty was not scare or frighted !

We are so blessed to have The Vet House. We adopted our senior baby Hailey and they were on the list of recommended vets. When we took her in for her physical, we were greeted upon arrival and everyone was welcoming and warm. It turned out that she had a UTI and even though the promotion we were using didn't apply to pets who had a medical condition that needed treatment, they still honored the promotion and didn't charge for the visit. A couple weeks later we used them to board our sweet baby when we had to go out of town unexpectedly, they were able to accommodate us last minute and took great care of her. When her health declined the following week to the point that she couldn't move or walk, we were unable to get an appointment as they were all booked up but they offered to try an squeeze her in if we would drop her off when they opened. No sooner had I made it home (about 15 minutes) they had already called and said they did not like the way she was behaving and went ahead and got her seen immediately. The concern they showed and the decision to act immediately really means a lot to us. We wouldn't dare take her anywhere else. Thank you Brian and the entire Vet House team for making us feel like family and taking such good care of our baby in the short time we've had her!

I take my dogs here all the time and they are so on time when it comes to filling their prescriptions!! My dogs are Murphy and Kai and Kai is incredibly anxious and has severe anxiety and they ALWAYS treat her with love and care. They are also really good about letting you know what procedures will be done and how much every little thing is going to cost. Very professional very kind.

After almost 2 decades of taking our dogs here, I've changed vets because of the revolving door of doctors. Maybe the new ones are just as good, but I like consistency for my furry family, same as I'd want for my own health care. The website doesn't feature who works there anymore and feels like some unfriendly faceless corporation. I and several neighbors have found a new vet now, and I couldn't be happier having moved away from the Vet House. I appreciate the response to my concerns, Mr. Flynn owner. As far as not having returned since 2019, it's because of a pandemic; and in 2021 when my pets needed updated shots, I took my vet care elsewhere. It wasn't an easy choice. Since you have my records, you can see since Dr. Major left I haven't seen the same doctors from visit to visit, nor are the same ones there in 2021. But it's not important. Maybe your new vets are great. I hope so. I didn't even realize Dr. Swann still worked there because It'd been so long since I'd seen him that the neighbors and I assumed he'd retired. We all liked him. My new vet has a lot of respect for Dr. Swann so I feel like even though I've moved on, it's not very far.

I LOVED this vet. Every employee there was so personable and I really appreciated that. My dog is super scared of everything and they accommodated for her well. The staff and vet were all very loving to my dog.

We have been taking our dogs to the Vet House since 2013 and was very happy with the services we received until this year. We took our senior dog to get checked out since she was having problems with incontinence and that is when we started to experience poor services from the clinic. We have been waiting over two weeks to get results from her x-rays and when we had to take her to the x-ray appointment, the staff had forgotten about her so she wasn't seen for 3 hours. Also, we had a scheduled surgery for our puppy to get neutered only to have them cancel the appointment a couple of days before because the doctor wasn't available. We are so very disappointed in the services we have recently received from them. We wouldn't recommend anyone taking their pets to see them if its an urgent matter, since they don't like to respond in a timely manner. Update: The owner has reached out to us and took ownership for their mistakes. He handled the problems in a very professional manner and we are happy with the resolution. We will continue to take our dogs to the Vet House.

I want to say a huge thank you to the staff at Vet House for taking such good care of Chewy yesterday. I am a new client and they were able to squeeze me in on such short notice. The doctor was informative and compassionate. The vet tech was personable and listened to me express my concerns without rushing me. Overall, I would recommend using their veterinary services!

Update: Unfortunately after many years of great experiences at The Vet House, I am taking my 3 babies to another practice. Dr's. Swann, Wagner and Mountain have all been great, but unfortunately the remaining doctors just don't seem to care. A few weeks ago I brought in my 13 year old that was in distress. It was about 10 minutes before closing time and the vet on duty wouldn't even look at her because "she was on her way out the door ". She told the receptionist to tell me that if I believed it to be an emergency, then I should take her to an emergency vet. So I drove another 20 minutes to Hillside clinic. When you have a 13 year old dog in distress, every minute counts. The current vets at The Vet House don't seem to really care. For that reason, I have made the decision to take my 3 weimaraners to another practice. New update: The owner of The Vet House (Brian) contacted me after my last review and has assured me that the situation I encountered on my last visit IS NOT how they ever want to treat a patient and that the situation will be corrected. I have always been happy with the quality of care that all my pets have received from them over the years and I will be staying with them now. Thank you Brian for putting my mind at ease with allowing The Vet House to remain my favorite veterinarian practice. I'm looking forward to continuing with the relationship we have built over the years!

My dad has taken his dog, Ivan, to this vet for about ten years. Today was the last straw. I called before they opened, thirty minutes after they opened, and sent an email with pictures of a bug bite on Ivan's leg. I waited until noon to call again. They told me to take him somewhere else, because they couldn't fit him in today. I mean, come on! Ivan is a longstanding patient of record, and he probably could have been "fit in" if they had returned my call this morning instead of blowing me off. I recommend choosing a different vet if you would like having access to your vet outside of scheduled appointments. This place is just too busy to accommodate its current patients.

Dr Major has retired but Dr. Ali is equally familiar with greyhounds. *Update: Dr. Ali has left...so have I and my dog now from this practice. Took my older grey there twice after departure of my favored vets. Both times I was hugely disappointed. 2nd time they botched an IV line; first try was in the leg that was supposed to get an xray to diagnose a limp, 2nd try was a front leg, 3rd try in other leg was finally right. They claimed he has bad veins but a different tech had no issues 3 months earlier with an IV to fix a torn nail. *Update in response to below vendor comment - It was the tech that did the IV that told me the dog had bad veins. The mgr did make the statement about it possibly being other underlying issues. New Vet thinks the dog is in amazing shape for his age and says all bloodwork is normal. Maybe it was just a bad experience. You can decide however my trust in their staff is gone. They gave a credit but I used it towards a vaccination booster and have moved on to another practice. Their pricing now nickels and dimes clients. Expect endless spam for their online store if they have your email address. *Update: I twice unsubscribed from the notifications but it could be their service that re-subscribed me as an active client. I setup a filter so it goes to a spam folder now.

One of the best vet experiences I've ever had. They made the decision to euthanize my Rusty easy and not judgie. They were very comforting and attentive during the whole process. Highly recommend.

Been going there for a decade and the staff and service have 100% dropped over that time. If not for the boarding we have done, very little odds we would be going back as long as we have. Will be looking for other vets. The costs are very high and they want to run tests for everything. If you want to spend thousands of dollars on care for a pets, this is the place. There was a time the place was very practical and reasonable...those days are gone. I have tons of examples but I will just say...picking up our dogs from boarding the last 4 times required us to wait while they washed the dogs. Everytime despite telling them when we are coming, the are not ready. The staff is often confused and cant find our pet in their system despite coming there for a decade. Just seems their IT systems are cumbersome. Getting appointments often means waiting 2 weeks which is unacceptable considering they always seem slow when we arrive. On a visit during Covid...what a mess...we had to drop the dog off and they called lecturing us about how we needed to work with our dog to accept handling. The dog is not the issue. He sleeps on top of our youngest daughter every night and he is the nicest dog you will ever meet. Why the vet and staff had issues???? We will never know under Covid but I trust my dog over the folks I never saw calling us about an issue we have never experienced. Dogs have great instincts and something went wrong but we could not be there so we can only go by lifetime experience with our pet over a one time closed appointment.

I think almost $500 for a dogs cut ear and some pills is taking advantage of my wife while I was at work. You did tests that were not going to make any difference, because you didn't give him any antibiotics anyway. All he needed was stitches and an ear pack and the pills. If you would have refilled his pills when I asked two weeks ago this would have never happened.

This vet office is awesome! They managed to get my cat Deo in for an emergency the same day I called, and did a fantastic job making sure she got the care she needed and made her as comfortable as possible during her visit. The vet and her assistant were very knowledgeable and answered all of the questions I had. I will make sure to bring Deo here for all of her future care!

The staff and Dr are so nice and professional. They are patient with your pet and very informative on how to administer meds and will address any concerns you may have.The follow up phone calls to check on your fur baby is really nice. It shows that they really do care about them. I highly recommend them

We needed a vet on Sat while visiting Plano and they were able to see our dog for a reasonable price. They provided fast, appropriate vet care. Would highly recommend them!

I tried out this vet because they had an adoption discount through Richardson Animal Shelter. The customer service exceeded my expectations. I really appreciate to no-contact accommodations they put in place during Covid.

The staff today was very compassionate and caring. Found a very sick cat. He was in liver failure. They told me everything that was going on from the time I took him inside. A great experience with the staff.

I love coming here. They have taken such good care of all my family's dogs for years. And now that I got 2 of my own, I wouldn't go anywhere else. They handle the dogs very well and explain thing very detailed. Everyone should go to them, i even moved to plano and we still go here because of the great care and service.

The staff is always great. Our dog always felt apprehensive when going to the vet because it was such a sterile and unfamiliar environment. This looks and feels more like a home. She always is much more comfortable and relaxed here.

I love the Vet House. They have great service and had (still have) a great system in place for COVID-19. My kitties love it here. Plus, they’re open on the weekend. Doesn’t get much better!
