Dr. Corbin Telford, Krista, and the ladies at the front desk made my Shih Tzu, Rascal’s, and my visit to Veterinary Eye Institute (VEI) a high quality experience. Dr. Telford and Krista took time to explain all that is involved in Rascal’s upcoming eye surgery. They helped me to understand the procedure and what benefits Rascal will receive from it. I am excited to help my sweet boy to not have to deal with dry eyes and the numerous problems that come with that issue! I highly recommend VEI, Dr. Telford, and staff to anyone whose pet(s) have special eye care needs.

Loved how much time they took with us to discuss the options for our senior pup. Very caring and knowledgeable. Was surprised at the pricing, it was less than we were anticipating, very fair.

Most happy reviews on here are for dogs. I love dogs, too, so go dogs! Unfortunately for me, I love a cantankerous cat. We had a great experience with the supporting staff present. My cat did very well especially with the vet tech who was incredibly skilled but changed as soon as Dr. Warren walked in. I tried offering advice about how the cat likes to be handled. Dr Warren snapped at me and said they can’t help us. When I started gathering my things he tried to reset himself and told me that the cat had a damaged retina and surgery on cataracts wouldn’t do anything. I felt like this was said as an afterthought. No retinal scan was successfully performed but I was given an opinion about his retina. Maybe he had an off day but Dr. Warren wasn’t what I expected. I work in healthcare so I understand we can’t be impeccable, but I was hoping for a better experience.

I highly recommend this business to anyone that wants excellent care & service. We were treated like we were their most important patients from the time we walked in with our sweet Bella. I 100% trusted their treatment plan. I’m so grateful that we were referred to Dr. Warren & staff! I consider them friends!

Dr. Telford and the entire Staff were such a comfort and pleasure to work with in treating my Shih Tzu, Hazel and I would recommend them, without exception, as someone with whom they can trust their pet for treatment.

i only went once but everything was fine professional, organized the prognosis seems to be ok and the remedy for my dog prescribed so far has been good only two days into it E.E.

If your fur pal has an eye problem VEI is the best place to take them. My Prince had a corneal ulcer and my vet referred me to them. The Dallas location saw him that same day. Dr. Enders was absolutely wonderful and caring. The staff was also kind and understanding. Follow up was again a great experience. Since I live in Denton Cnty. I Saw Dr Eng next in Plano. She did some skillful debridement with comfort and caring. Today we saw Dr. Warren in Plano. Once again a caring, kind and knowledgeable practitioner who treated Prince as I assume he would treat his own dog. THANKS TO ALL AT VEI. YOU ARE TRULY A COMPASSIONATE TEAM! I took my 15 y/o yorkie for an eye ulcer that wouldn't heal after almost 2 weeks of antibiotic drops. One week after seeing Dr. Telford her eye is back to normal. The staff was great & unfortunately I don't remember the vet techs name but she was gentle & compassionate with my baby girl.

Very good. Excellent staff and doctors. They were able to diagnose our dog’s eye issue within 30 minutes. Again, great!

First off my dog and I aren’t the easiest customers. My dog is a Giant Schnauzer and weighs over 100lbs, he’s intimidating and isn’t always the most cooperative. He’s super anxious around any doctor or nurse because of prior experiences. However Dr. Warren and Surgical Nurse Krista were the absolute best we have had treat us any where! They were incredibly patient, kind, knowledgeable and helpful. Not only with my boy but with me as well ????. I brought him in for cancer of the third eye lid and had a couple procedures done with them. I can’t thank them enough for the help they provided my son. Thanks to them he’s doing great now!!

Darius was SO sweet to my Romi, who was VERY nervous. Super caring, kind and knowledgeable! Dr. Telford was also very patient and loving with Romi and she responded so well to both of them!

Dr. Warren and his assistant, Darius, at Veterinary Eye Institute are incredible to work with. Dr. Warren is a true Master when it comes to eye surgery, compassion for your fur baby, and overall customer care. Darius is amazing! He really explains things well and is very attentive and takes the time to really make you and your fur baby feel comfortable. He is very knowledgeable and compassionate. If your pet needs eye care, this is absolutely the place to go! The quality of care you'll receive is beyond expectation! Extremely pleased with the staff and Dr. Telford! The entire procedure was explained prior to surgery including potential problems and solutions. Dr. Telford was thorough in relating everything that occurred during the surgery and the results post op in an easy to understand way. Everyone was genuinely concerned with Wylie's welfare and caring in his treatment.

My first experience at VEI was when my senior dog, Sadie, had a lens luxation. Basically the lens in her left eye fell out of place, and this can cause painful and serious issues. Having heard good things about VEI I was referred by my primary vet and got an appointment very quickly (eye issues can be time sensitive, and they are great at getting your pet help quick!). The clinic itself is calm and beautiful, and I don't think initially my dog even realized she was at a clinic. Every single staff member is exceptionally kind and helpful to both me and Sadie, and they are also very quick and efficient. Dr. Enders is Sadies ophthalmologist, and after doing an exam explained fully what was happening, why, why it was a concern, and what different treatment options I had. They had less and more expensive routes and he was honest about the pros and cons of each, and long term what would be best for Sadie. I didn't have many questions because of how well he explained, but he patiently answered each one I did have. We decided to go with surgical removal so that as a senior it wasn't an issue again down the road when she was even older. The costs are not inexpensive as this is a speciality hospital, but they are exactly what I expected and worth the expertise and care. They were very clear about costs and what was covered as a complimentary follow up and what was not. I want the best for my pets, and when it comes to eyes this is it. You get what you pay for! The surgery was scheduled just a short while later and went well. They explained what to expect post operatively, one concern they had about a pressure as she was waking up (and because of that had me bring her the following day to recheck, which was great peace of mind to me!), and the eye drop schedule. We have had multiple rechecks with lessening frequency that have all been just as good, and most recently I got to utilize the emergency line after hours when Sadies eye, in a matter of hours, went from clear to completely white. I left a message and got a call back from the on-call vet within an hour, and he instantly knew exactly what was happening (confirmed with a picture sent to him) and what I should do. As soon as the clinic opened the next morning they were calling as well to check in, and made sure to get us in for a check before the weekend. I would not hesitate to recommend VEI to anyone wanting expert care for their pets, and am so glad to have such an amazing veterinary option if my pets need it!

Darius Bell offered the kindest support to me via phone today, when I called agonizing over my senior dog's corneal ulcer. I have been a nervous wreck making sure my dog isn't suffering, and Darius could not have been nicer or more informative. He walked me through everything I needed to know in succinct detail, and even managed to lift my spirits with his humor. He's compassionate, patient, and an absolute gem. Thank you - very grateful.

Wow what an experience!!! They were able to get our cat in the very next day with no referral “dance” and into the laser procedure room that same week. Amazing staff that will really go above and beyond to help everyone. Highest recommendation possible!

This is a very nice place that took my cat Harry in on emergency appointment the same day. Darius was awesome to work with and handled Harry great.
