Great Vet! A+ Service, both in person, and on the phone. They answer phones quickly and prioritize appointments / don't over-schedule. If you want to ensure your pet gets the attention they deserve, Central Texas is a great choice.

Paw points are awarded for visits/transactions; ours added up to a free nail trim for our doggie! Staff is great with our pet.

Very fast check in. Everyone was super nice and efficient. Dr. Parson was wonderful with my dog. Can't say enough good things about this animal hospital. New in the area and glad I found them.

I am very pleased with my selection of a Veterinary Hospital. Central Texas Animal Hospital met my expectations of an experienced Hospital for my Yorkshire terrier. LOKI received a thorough first exam and tests here. My vet, Dr Stansell, was knowledgeable and caring. CTAH will continue to be where I will take Loki for care.

Mia my miniature Husky had to receive hernia surgery underneath her belly. As a first-time dog owner, I was very worried, but I knew I was in great hands. During a chaotic time amid the pandemic, the veterinarians (Dr Miller / Dr Neans) and the fantastic staff at Central Texas Animal Hospital made me feel at ease and the procedure went perfectly. The day before surgery, Dr Miller met me out front to discuss the surgery and answer any questions I had. He was extremely professional, friendly and passionate. The morning of the surgery, I was in my vehicle calling the office (patient protocol due to the pandemic), during the brief wait the phone line discussed the credentials of the practice and literally said “We treat every pet as if they were our own family member.” This resonated heavily as again, being a first-time dog owner. Pick up post-surgery went well, and Mia was provided a comfortable cone (the office has those cotton/padded cones as well as plastic cones, we found the padded to be more comfortable). The office the following day, called, left a voice mail, and e-mailed me asking how Mia was doing (talk about going the EXTRA MILE!). I let the office know Mia had puked earlier in the morning, I received a personal call from Dr Neans within 5 minutes and within 15 minutes, I was on my way to pick up medication to help Mia feel better. Mia has fully recovered from her surgery without any issues and is back to her healthy and goofy self! I would strongly recommend Central Texas Animal Hospital to any pet owner within the Austin/Pflugerville area looking for fantastic, passionate and hard-working staff who go the extra mile to make sure your loved ones are healthy!

CTAH is the best! They consistently provide high quality care that is always focused on compassion and understanding. We’ve been clients for over 40 years and many other clients have also discovered CTAH. To make the experience better is challenging, and instead keep doing what you’re doing.

Dr. Neans is so nice! I trust him to take care of my little girl, a Chihuahua. I know she is in good hands with him.

Once I took my cat to get groomed and they forgot and left him in his carrier all day. They said they would groom him first thing next morning and he wasn't wdone until after 1 pm so he obviously was not a priority. I couod not pick him up during my lunch break and had to pick him up after work which meant he had to be in his carrier all day again. They didn't even offer a discount for the inconvenience. They are also overpriced. Staff is nice. They are not horrible but I would find other options before going there as my first choice.

I have been a customer of Central Texas Animal Hospital since before covid made its impact. I understand that restrictions during the pandemic were put in place to keep everyone safe. However, restrictions have been lifted and they still do not allow customers to enter the building. They make you and your animal wait in your car until they are ready to see him. It was 100 degrees outside and they did not even have any water available for my dog to drink while we waited. When asked when business operations would go back to normal they told me "who knows". I asked for a recommendation list of other local vets in the area and they told me they could not make any recommendations for other local vets. To be fair the employees seemed nice. However, I will be taking my business somewhere else that values professionalism and its customer's experience.

I had tried two other vets (national franchises ) and didn't feel like they truly cared about my new puppy. When I had a question about her health, both were too busy to see her or offer advice. I called Central Texas Animal Hospital and even though I wasn't a client, they offered sound advice and reassurance. That was enough for me to switch my business and the staff was even better in person. Thank you for bringing the "care" back to petcare.

Took my 2 dogs to get heartworm and flea treatment and the tech says we have to pay for heartworm test, I said no because I talked to their Receptionist and she told me my heartworm test is due and if you dont come by the 18th you have to pay for the test which is $33. But my appt was before then so we thought were good. But now they want me to pay $33 × 2 dogs! I have been a loyal customer since 1987!!! I have had to put down some animals there and always had my animals cared by them. I just felt like I was being lied to and taken advantage of and this wasn't the only time that I have felt like I was being nickle and dined. Iam very disappointed. I LOVE Dr. Neans! He is also the Owner and because of him I keep coming back! Hes a good guy and he loves my animals.
