Only one negative about this business. Not wheelchair accessible. Can't believe a business of this size does not have a ramp. Technicians will help to bring your animal in and out. They are prompt, expedient, friendly and cost effective. Made the mistake of going to Banfield first with previous cat. My new kittens have a home vet that we are all happy with. As much as can be expected anyway. We will see if the ramp is addressed over the coming years. Then I will add RESPONSIVE.

They are very caring very professional and very affordable. I have to drive one hour to get there and still would do it. My dog had a vulvoplasty done there and I’m extremely happy with the result

My dog was hit by a care and needed great care and that's exactly what we got! Beard isn't our primary VET but with the care, treatment plan, and the family feel that we got from them we will continue to take all our animals there. Lastly the care we received was affordable and I did not feel taken advantage of.....

I’ve been taking my dogs there for 15 plus years. Lots of changes over the years. All for the best. Technology, upgraded offices and added more staff. Most recently I had to euthanize a dog. They were so caring, thoughtful, professional, respectful and really made my decision much easier for me. I would not go anywhere else. Definitely worth the drive. Dr. Sanford called multiple times to check on my girl. Even after the euthanasia because he was out of town. These days that’s unbelievable! Go find that in the big city.

Recently I had a emergency. My 12 yrs old precious dog needed medical attention called the emergency line was quick and responsive. Unfortunately she past away. They handled her with such compassion and care. Thank you to the veterinarian Schmitt and his team yesterday. If you ever find yourself in an emergency situation this is an excellent place. ????

I took my puppy to Beards because she was very sick with parvovirus and dr standford saved my puppy so i am so happy to have my puppy here today. Thanks to Beards Vet and Mr Standford. This is the best Place to take your animals.

We drive 45 minutes every time just for this office. Really thankful for the staff and vets. They’ve taken care of us and our pets with so much love and we really appreciate it! It’s also very affordable and I’m confident every time we go in that we will get the best for our animals.

The staff is always very positive and helpful. You can tell they all like animals. We have brought our pets in for just routine and a couple times life threatening issues. They are always professional and compassionate and give you options of care to help you make the best decision for your pet.

We have used your clinic for years and have never had any complaints. Recently, we have been there more than usual as my sweet Sara has been ill and unfortunately passed but, the care she received fro Dr Shannon Denault, was outstanding!! He never had to convince me he truly cared, I knew it from the first moment this journey started! I have the upmost respect and so much gratitude for him!!

The wait here is insane. I normally go to South Central Vet, but they were closed for the Fourth of July. It took them here about an hour and a half to see my cat. Also, they way overcharge. I wouldn't go here if possible.

This place is great, the people are so kind and considerate. I've been taking my animals there for 8 years, as we add more animals they all go to Beard-Navasota.

We have been going to Beard Navasota for at least 10 years. Everyone there from the front desk staff to the vets are caring, compassionate and very competent. They treat you like family. We drive 45 minutes to get there and pass numerous vet clinics on the way. I wouldn't even consider going anywhere else.

When told that I couldn't be helped by others in an emergency visit for my cat they were very helpful. They saw us right away. And could have taken advantage of the situation if they wanted. The Staff and Dr were kind and explained what was going on and how to care for the injures. I am Thankful that they were there.. And definitely have found my new Vet service..

I needed 2 male goats banded and no one in our area would do it. I was referred to Beard by another vet in our area and it was well worth the hour drive each way. The interaction was great, the staff was great, the price was fair, and we will be coming back for any future needs for our boys.

Emergency care exceptional after our dog was attacked by pit bull. Very grateful for timely excellent care!

I highly recommend this vet, I took my 6 week old Chorkie yesterday and was treated with respect and the two young ladies that assisted in the room were wonderful. We came to Beard Navasota after three other vets assured us our adult dog was just aging and his symptoms were normal. After visiting with Dr. Paul Schmitt and tech Flor Kettler we knew we were in great hands as they helped identify his terminal cancer. We asked them to do a home euthenasia and although it was a hard choice they were the most compassionate and professional vet staff we could have hoped for. I highly recommend both Beard Navasota vet clinic and Dr. Schmitt as well Flor.

Their entire team is awesome! I will drive an hour to go here for my fur babies! The office staff has been so kind and personable at each appointment. I’m so grateful to the wonderful veterinarians who practice with heart and evidence based medicine. Great bed side manner and Phenomenal care! ????

They care more about the money than they do about the animals. They kept trying to convince me that if I could afford the x-rays, they could learn more about my pet and her illness. The key here is “Afford“. I already owe them money and I am on a fixed income and they really pressured me. But you cannot get money from thin air. I remember one time when I visited them, one of the vets came through, slammed some papers down onto the counter and said, not so quietly, “he either pays something or we are not going to see his animal.” Also not taking into any consideration for privacy and the fact That customers in the waiting room could hear the doctor and, yes, the doctor did say the name of the person. I wonder if privacy laws extend to this issue. Man, I’m wonder what that man owed them!? I agree that they need to make a profit, to pay for their employees and their facilities and their salaries. But I was not going in for her yearly shots, I had a sick animal. A companion of 16 years. Where was their compassion for the animal? I understood that they wanted to be paid for services rendered that day, but trying to coerce me, put me in an embarrassing place. I guess a college degree does not mean you have any manners. I had repeatedly explained to the staff my health situation so maybe they could understand why I was so financially strapped. I don’t think they believed me or that I was telling the truth. No matter. They have always taken care of my animals until I became financially strapped. When I tell a doctor that I cannot afford it, unless he’s a rude imbecile, he should quit trying to force me to do something I cannot do. I think even someone at the front desk mentioned the possibility of x-rays. They had already taken blood and giving her a shot and I don’t know how hard It is to understand four words “I can’t afford it”. It wasn’t a joke and I wasn’t kidding. I gave them two stars because they have employed good vets in the past and most of the staff have been kind and except for a couple of events, my animals have always been taken care of until now... I have thought long and hard about this review. This episode happened months ago. I am notangry and I bear no ill will towards them but, in my book, they did not deserve five stars. Now my companion of 16 years is dying so I will no longer need a vet. But, if someone asks me for a referral to a vet, I will Tell them my story and let them make up their own mind. I just wonder if anyone else has had less than complementary things to say about them but just never has come forward. I know that two different pet owners has warned me about beard veterinarians.

Beard is available whenever I need them. They always see my little "Peter" no matter what time of day or day of the week. They treat my little boy like he was their own. I don't have a favorite vet they are all excellent. The staff could not be better.

We were referred to this vet clinic by a family friend. Our little girl, Mazikeen was attacked by an older dog and after poor treatment at another pet hospital this place was a saving grace. They truly care about your furry family. They’re incredibly reasonable on prices and answered all questions and concerns. We’ve found our new vet. The day after our visit they even called to check on her. She is doing much better today. ❤️❤️

Dr. Blane ( can’t spell his last name) was the attending vet when I came in to have our dog looked over. The results were not good but the compassion this man had made it less painful. My wife did not want to have our dog put down at the clinic so Dr. Blane and two gentlemen on his team came to the house so that our dog could pass peacefully in his own home. I’ve never had to experience such a thing but will say that I’m glad the team from Beard was there to help ease our dog’s pain. I hope no one has to endure this but if so you are in great hands and company with the Beard staff. Thank you for your caring and compassion you exhibited during this very difficult time for my wife and I.

We drive 45 Minutes to take our pups to this clinic where everyone is so nice and caring. The doctor always spends plenty of time with us and we never feel he is rushing. I would highly recommend them.
