I had an amazing time here for my birthday experience. The staff is extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the wolf dogs. I can tell they truly care about their animals and treat them with a lot of love. It is wonderful to be in close proximity to these animals especially given some of their history of abuse and neglect. I would definitely suggest this sanctuary if you want a fully interactive and intimate experience with the wolf dogs.

My wife and I went the Saturday after Thanksgiving and it was great experience. Plan for 2 hours as you get to meet all the different wolfdogs they have. The guide is someone who volunteers at the project and you learn a lot about wolfdogs. Also you get to learn the story of each one of the dogs currently there. It is interactive so you can ask questions. You go inside the different enclosures the dogs are in. The dogs are usually in pairs but sometimes 3 in one enclosure. If you are bringing younger kids you might want to call and confirm the age requirement as small children may not be able to take part in the full experience. I do remember one enclosure having a sign of 14 yrs or older on it. You are given instructions on how to behave in the enclosures and this could be why. One benefit of going in cooler months is the dog's coats look better than in summer and they seem more lively.

Went on an afternoon date here in late September. Carly, our guide, was wonderful. Took us through exactly how to interact with the animals to stay safe and get the most out of it. Really appreciate that this rescue lets guests get up close and personal with the wolfdogs. Some animals were friendly, a few preferred to keep to themselves. All in all a wonderful rescue operation and a great afternoon date. Highly recommend!

Super cute place that does a great job caring for these animals. The tour is interactive as long as the animals want to come up to you. You can definitely tell these animals are loved and love all the volunteers and workers who work with them.

We found this experience via airbnb and i highly recommended taking a tour to meet the wolfdogs here. Steve was our guide and you could tell this man loves what he does. And the wolfdogs love it too! Most of them were very social and came up for attention and kisses. We witnessed many barks and howls. Id love to volunteer here if i were located closer. Thanks for the amazing experience!

All the animals are beautiful and friendly. They are kept in a clean and safe environment. I learned that the project aims to place them with families.

We had the best time getting to know about these amazing wolf dogs. Austin was our guide and he was great. We can tell that he loves what he does and cares about them. The whole team was great. We loved the fact that we were able to interact with all the wolf dogs. If anyone is ever in the area, I definitely suggest you stop and take this tour. It would not hurt to donate, so Austin and his team can continue to care and house wolf dogs while they find them a good home. Would visit again in a heartbeat!

Visiting Texas Wolfdog Project was such an educational and fun experience that I would recommend to anyone visiting the area! I accidentally booked our tour for the wrong date and the team rescheduled us and were very understanding about the situation. Steve was very knowledgable about each individual wolfdog and answered all of our general questions about wolfdogs as well. We even got some "hugs" and face kisses from a few of the more social wolfdogs. Can't wait to visit again in the future!

An awesome place to come and check out amazingly beautiful hybrid wolf dogs! Guides are extremely knowledgeable and every dog hadls a back story. Well definitely be returning for another visit and volunteering!

Love this place. Such sweet animals. Glad they enforce the rule of no kids under 7 inside the habitat/kennels.

This is a magical and very special place . My husband and I make it a point to visit ,help and dontate every time we are in texas. My dream one day is to adopt and I would be proud to choose anyone from this pack !!

Wonderful place. I had a great experience. They were super informative and kind. The wolfdogs were all super sweet and loving so long as you listen to what you are told. I look forward to going back sometime.

Such an incredible experience!! My husband and I went out yesterday and we had a hard time leaving! Our only complaint is us not living closer! We got to go in with the wolves and meet all of them and learn their back stories as well as hearing wonderful news of some of them being rehomed. While we were there they also rescued a wolfdog pup who would have been put down. These dogs are so well loved and taken care of. We signed up to donate to their cause with smile on Amazon! Keep doing what you're doing y'all are making an incredible difference! Schedule a tour you won't regret it!

I love this place! It's an amazing learning experience and the wolfdogs are very kind. It's amazing to see some beautiful creatures and learn about them, the sanctuaries mission, and the whole adoption process. Would visit again ♡

I love this place because they helped me and Lori when i couldn't afford her medical bills. They didn't just take her from me, they keep me updated on how she's doing and allow me to visit as much as i can. All the dogs are very well cared for. All the pens are huge and clean and have things for enriching the environment. They are fed extremely well. They are also loved. They are not just put in pens and taken care of, they are given individual attention. If you are ever unfortunate enough to have to give your baby up, you would be lucky and blessed if they can help you. If you are lucky enough to have room in your life for one of these wonderful animals, i highly recommend adopting from here. They work with all the dogs and can help you find the right personality fit
