As a cat owner, I can say that Dr. Neaderhouser knows how to handle cats and creates an environment where they feel safe and comfortable - not a lot of vets can do that. I've found that most vets tend to treat cats like dogs, which creates additional, unnecessary stress for the cat in an already stressful situation. Dr. Neaderhouser and her team definitely make vet visits much easier for my cats and take wonderful care of them. It's great to have such a caring, knowledgeable vet in Magnolia. Additionally, the entire team at Shady Brook are always friendly and helpful. I highly recommend them!

Staff was very helpful and kind. Dr Andersen was knowledgeable and did not perform any unnecessary testing on my pet. Everyone was kind and loving towards our dog. Will recommend to anyone who needs a vet.

Super sweet staff and a nice , clean facility.

Not great if you have multiple dogs and aren't a rich person. The building is nice, and thenurses are pretty friendly except if you ask questions they don't like. They're not quite as expensive as a few other vets, but I would say they're definitely highly money driven and less care-driven towards animal owners. I'm sure they're of the mindset where people who are less than "middle class citizens" do not deserve to own pets. It's not like we're expecting anything for free, but $1,700 for a deep cut is unkind and greedy. Fortunately we kept the cut clean, applied honey and silver and the wound healed nicely. So why did they feel it would cost $1,700?? They also love to order lots of "necessary" tests that are very expensive only in place because it's protocol not necessary. Why not just have the owner sign a legal waiver and skip the test when the treatment is the same no matter the results of the test!

We have brought our pets to Shady Brook for many years and we have always appreciated their professionalism and love for animaels. Unfortunately our oldest dog of 13 years had developed cancer and became very ill. Shady Brook was very understanding and was able to get her in very quickly. Thank-you.

Bummed out with this place. Dropped my puppy off to be boarded for the weekend, asked that she be fixed while here…they ignored this while trying to up sell other services.

The vet at Shady Brook Animal Hospital, Dr. Neadhouser seemed very concerned about my cockatoo. She gave some very good tips on feeding. The staff was all great. I would of given a 10 but thought wing clip was a little pricey Otherwise would highly recommend this vet. I also took my cat on same day. They all were great with him as well. What I really like is they actually sent me a visit report the next day and sent me a copy of Labwork upon request.. We had recently moved in to the area and I was worried about taking my fur and feathered babies to a new vet, but I was put at ease from the moment we were brought in to the office. We will bringing our Shepard in 2 weeks for her annual exam in 2 weeks and will update at that time. But I definitely recommend this practice to anyone needing a vet.

When one local vet office didn’t seem to have any clear direction for my beloved pet and seemed to throw there hands up and say I don’t know what to do but let me refer you to Texas a&m or take her home to die I felt lost. I couldn’t afford 8-15k for a chance and not to mention the time away from her. Shady Brooke booked me an appointment and reviewed her previous medical records and offered my baby a solution to make her comfortable and give her more time with us. They in no way guaranteed a fix but they had the compassion to make her comfortable and give us and her more life. I can’t tell you how grateful I am for them during our time of need. We don’t know where this road leads because that’s god’s decision but he sure guided there hands and hearts to help us. And for that we are so thankful and I will always owe them my respect and hope to only use them in the future. God bless them and I hope to enjoy this time with my pup! Thank you again to all the staff there and may god bless you all like he has us!

Re recent teeth cleaning plus 4 extractions, senior female feline. Sophie is doing great! She has not shown any discomfort or pain symptoms. She just acted a bit goofy after receiving daily pain meds, almost comical, while purring all the while. We stopped giving her the pain med this evening because she appears OK and happy! (This morning, and yesterday morning, she took morning 4 hour naps under beds, and came out at noon begging for for "crunchies" which she loves. We have not given her any, however, as recommended until her mouth heals,) She slept well every night and has scarfed down every meal normally! AND, we appreciate her clean breath and kisses now!!!!!! So, Dr. Anderson and team, Sophie and we thank you for a job well done!!

Where do I begin. Great staff, so good with our fur babies and very compassionate. The doctors are great and have taken great care of all of my animals and my mom's little dog. Love Shadybrook.

Amazing staff! They were caring before they even really knew us or our pet!

It's all about the animals and not the money. You can tell that they care and the rates are quite reasonable and even offer a senior discount. They stick to your scheduled time, unless there is an emergency, so you won't be sitting there all day waiting to be seen. I've been coming here for many years and always will!

My hamster passed away because the Vet here refused to give me oral antibiotics, even though I said I went through this with my previous hamster. Made an appointment elsewhere but he died the next day.

When I call they gave me one price and change after I pick up my Dogs ...really pricey and not responsive I will never go Back there

Highly impressed with the level of professionalism and care we received at Shady Brook. Not only did they work a new patient in on a day when they were completely booked with appointments, but the doctor personally called after examining our puppy and explained exactly what was going on and walked us through the appropriate treatment. Outstanding clinic that I will most certainly make a slightly longer drive to (we live in High Meadow Ranch) as opposed to taking our animals to the extremely poorly run veterinarian clinic right up the road on 1774!

I brought my cat in today for a emergency visit, the took him back immediately even though they where packed. Due to COVID19 it was curbside waiting, however once he was back the doctor called me and told me her concerns the staff and doctor where very friendly and professional This business is not out trying to take advantage of anybody it was actualy cheaper then the original price they told me. I highly recommend shady Brook animal hospital to anybody looking to take care of their fur babies

I am beyond pleased with this practice. They are local and always very responsive to my questions and needs for my pets. All of the staff is very knowledgeable and friendly, they always make you feel like a top priority. Crystal and Morgan deserve huge pats on the back for their kind hearts and professionalism. I really appreciate the personal calls and updates from the Dr. herself and always feel that my pets are in the best hands. Highly recommend this practice for anyone in the area.

I had a last minute urgent sick pet visit today and the front desk staff was very kind in assessing the situation on the phone. I drove over immediately and they were able to take him back almost as soon as I arrived, evaluating & treating him not that long after. The staff and vet were very kind, informative, and mindful of my budget. I am very grateful to the staff & vet and will definitely be back for his well visits.

After calling other vet clinics for pricing on an emergency vet appointment for a broken leg, they just seem to be very high priced. Not saying it is a bad clinic or anything negative about the clinic just I needed to find the cheapest clinic at the time.

I took my 8 week old kitten, who was originally a stray to get her vaccines and an exam done. I was very clear when I told them I needed to know the gender because I have a male cat who is not fixed. The vet told me she was 99.99% positive it was a male. We named “him” and have had her for 3 months now and it is absolutely a female. I’m so upset with how unreliable and unprofessional this vet is. How can I trust them to diagnose or perform surgery if they can’t even determine a kittens sex??

Dr. Heartford is very nice and great with our German shepherd, she really understands him and what he needs to be healthy, very friendly staff.
