Little over a year ago, we decided to breed our French Bulldog female with a friend's male. We had been very scared to do this, not wanting any complications. But really wanted a puppy from our girl. We interviewed several vets, and settled on this place. They assured us she would be safe. Long story short, when the time came, our girl had to have a cesarean. After the puppies were removed, our girl started hemorrhaging. The vet was not prepared for this. And she bled out before they could get her transportation to an emergency clinic for a transfusion. If they are going to perform these kind of procedures, be prepared. This was tragic to us and unexceptable. They basically charged us thousands and handed us the three new borns and said good luck. We will never be the same after losing her. She was our baby. Good news is, 2of the three pups survived. Gumbo and Biscuit are doing well. Stay clear of this place.

I'm very disappointed in Paws to Claws. Friday of Thanksgiving weekend my rabbit became sick. I read online that they were closed on Friday but would be open Saturday for half a day. I called first thing Saturday morning and left a message asking for an appointment. They had seen him previously so had a file on him. I never received a call back. He passed away on Sunday. I am a retiree so I couldn't afford to take him to an ER. To this day they have never responded to my voicemail message. This is one of the few clinics in my area that treats exotics. I couldn't find any other clinics that were open that weekend. Even when I called to let them know he had passed they just made excuses for not responding to my voicemail message. I'm very disappointed in their lack of concern for one of their patients.

It's a great place for exotic pets, they actually know their ferret stuff! My baby Sabrina thrived after the implant she got here, though we lost her to an unrelated illness a year later. ????

Our rabbit was previously seen by another vet who prescribed an antibiotic that wasn't working. Dr. Scott suggested another antibiotic which too care of the infection. She thoroughly explained options for Skittles treatment. She called to check up on Skittles which meant a lot to us. Definitely recommend Paws to Claws for your pet's care!

Best, most compassionate, caring, knowledgeable and honest vet I have ever come across. I am 67, so feel like I have seen a few vets in my life. I do not normally write reviews, but this Woman deserves it! Cannot recommended her highly enough. Go, you will be glad you did...

Our sweet bird dog has been a frequent visitor to the clinic with a variety of ailments. Heck, he’s on a first name basis. The first rate doctors and staff have always treated him with care, expertise, even humor and always had him ready for the next hunt or just ready to find the sunny spot on the rug to take a nap.

Dr. Slater is one of the best vets I've ever encountered. My dog was in crisis and he's typically very difficult to deal with going to the vet. She made it much less painful for not only my dog, but me. Thank you, Dr. Slater!

They're awesome! Dr Slater and Dr Scott really care about their patients and ate very honest. I feel that the prices are fair, usually less than the initial quote.

So far so good, had a great first experience the other day when bringing in my dogs Layla and George! I loved how they printed out a real record for you and not just emailed it. If your like me your pets are part of your family and they seem to take care of them like family! They also see exotics as well, which is one of the main reasons I chose them. I think the only thing that could have a tad improvement is showing the costs upfront. My fault for not asking more. Thank all yall for your help :)

I took my chameleon Tom here based off a rec from a vet we have been to in the past. I was a wreck upon arriving. It’s so hard finding a vet for exotics much less last minute. Paws to claws was so accommodating and took us in right away and had Tom cared for. They even put up with my 100 phone calls because of course, this was a new vet and I thought Tom was dying and they were still so nice to me. Dr Scott was incredibly knowledgeable and kind. 10/10 I do recommend to anyone thinking about bringing their pet. Thank you guys for dealing with my anxiety and helping my guy. We appreciate yall.

I've gone to Paws to Claws several times now with several rats and my 7 year old pit. I live in Spring so I drive 30 minutes to get to this clinic and have found that it's been more than worth the drive. Dr. Scott is amazing and knowledgeable, she's always been able to diagnose my rats problems quickly and accurately. The vet techs are really sweet and showed my pitbull a lot of love while he was there. I did have to bring one of my rats in to be euthanized and they were very considerate and kind throughout the whole process. Their prices are very reasonable as well. I would highly recommend Dr. Scott and her great team for all animals and I personally will only be coming here for all my animals!

I have an elderly dog whose blind and deaf and confused 15 years old small mix ... im moving across country and do not think she will travel well it will be very hard on her. I asked for euthanization. This vet said no. So no I was not happy. She has no quality of life other than I love her and do not want her to suffer

I called the place just to see if I could get a quick answer to a ferret question since my vet is out of town and my baby has Insulinoma, but the receptionist was real quick to tell me that since I’m not a patient the vet won’t even talk to me. Every other clinic I called was willing to help out and return my call, it’s just that their vets were not free right this second. Great job lady, you made the clinic look careless and unempathetic. Two qualities people do not look for when we worry about our animals.

Dr Slater had cared for my Rhodesian Ridgeback for a while, but I had to take him in for some seizures about a month ago. Upon testing, we found his iron was near dangerously low and his red blood cells were low. She was very thorough, clear, and upfront. We put Aero on some medications to try to help him. He took a huge swing up for 3 weeks. On this past Saturday though, he took a sharp turn for the worst. We brought him in, and she VERY affectionately looked at him. Unfortunately, there was nothing to be done at his ripe age of 11. She gave us all the time we needed to say goodbye and assured us she would take good care of him when we left. The most terrible situation in the world, but she did everything she could, including giving us treats to give him right before the end, to help. This is still very fresh and hurts a lot, but I would like to thank Dr. Slater as well as recommend her to anybody needing care for their babies.

I have used these prople in the past andd had a great experience. This time not so much..i have an american bulldog who is very protective so she wouldnt come to the vet.even with treat.so one of my friends stayed in the room with my dog and they did all the neccessary test.a wellness exam.well when i came back in they were done but she ignored me and kept speaking to my friend.she KNEW she was my dog.she didnt even have the decency to stop 2 minutes to tell me my dog had cancer.i found out basically on the paperwork they gave me when i paid the bill.so impersonal and in such a hurry for $ that my 10 yr old dog who i love dearly was just another dollar.i wont b back there.

I have searched for an Avian Vet for my Cockatoo for quite a while. I live in the Woodlands and can't drive to far South Houston or even farther. I wanted a vet in my area. Dr Scott at Paws 2 Claws is perfect. She took so much time with me and Gonzi and performed her Nail and Wing trim right in the room with me. Most vets take the birds to the back and that scares me. I am telling everyone I know with birds to go see Dr. Scott.

Extremely unprofessional over the phone, they will hang up on you for asking questions. Lady was extremely rude and not helpful at all. Please go to a different vet for any and all animal related practices.
