Such a wonderful vet to visit when your babies need immediate care! We've been here several times over the years, and absolutely love the staff and the care!!!

Dr Dumeyer and Tech Katie were fabulous!!! They were available to help our baby who got clipped by a car and sustained blunt force trauma injuries and lacerations. They are so kind, thourough, and kept us updated twice a day on our fur baby’s condition. I can not say enough good things about this practice and their staff. They have our ongoing gratitude for helping us in an emergent situation when 6 other vet practices said they couldn’t see us! Thank you Katie and Dr Dumeyer!!!!

We love Vet on Fourth! The extended hours are fantastic for our family’s schedule. Our dogs are cared for well there & I trust the staff. They go above & beyond to listen to us. They always call to check on our pups after a visit. 10/10 recommend.

My Luna has been coming here since I first rescued her they have always been amazing. A little on the high end of prices but they are an emergency clinic and the hours are great because of my job. Again and I will repeat they are great.

I take all 6 of my fur babies to this clinic and they are always very prompt and attentive to our needs. Never had a single bad word to say about any of the lovely people who work there. I especially appreciate their hours and availability.

My Belgian Mali was hit by a car and taken by my minor children to this clinic while I was away working out of state . They never discussed terms with me and were vague and dishonest about total costs with my kids. They finally presented cost estimate to me upon my return from out of state but only because I ask for it. They also claimed pins in her leg would be removed at no charge but was charged 116$ to do this. They were very expensive and weren’t clear to children and felt deceived by their staff and will never return here and strongly advise others to do same. If you scroll down about 1 in 4 reviews are negative so future customers beware

We took our dog Kylo to the Vet on 4th and absolutely loved it. They were so friendly, nice, and patient when it came to not only handing him but guiding us in the right direction. 10 out of 10 recommend to take your dog here!

The place does provide an OK to good service, nothing extraordinary, but I would say it is on the pricy side. I went for the Texas required yearly rabies vaccine and they told me that for the rabies vaccine it was required for the Vet to do a wellness check. Which add an extra ~$53 or so to the cost of the vaccine. My dog is already a "patience" at this location, so it is not the regular first time / intro wellness check. I told the technician that Texas does not require the wellness check but only the vaccine, and the response was, "it is our requirement if we have not seen the dog in a year" That means every time!!, because you have to go once a year for the vaccine. Then a simple $30 (ish) vaccine now becomes an $80+ vaccine. I find annoying that they do not clarify that it is a "policy" of theirs, and not a "requirement" from the state. The word "required" should only be used for the vaccine since it is a Texas law. Also, my dog is in very good shape and I just wasted $50+ in a wellness check. If my dog needs I check I have no problem paying. The wellness check should not be enforce, some people would barely have money for the vaccine and now you need to pay for the wellness check! They will call you to ask how your dog is doing! But if that is the reason why it is pricy, then do not call.

Have had nothing but professional experience. Had bad experience with past vet they have taken excellent care of my dog. They call to check on my pet after each visit to check on my dog. They go above and beyond to meet our needs and care. Excellent professional vet. Glad I decided to move my vet needs to The vet on fourth street.

I'm not sure I can say enough good things about them. Not only are they open during the weekends when other vets are not (thank goodness!!!), they provide care with your wallet in mind. For the care they give, the cost is absolutely fair. It's very clear they care about your fur-babies as much as they would their own. Everyone is so kind, patient, and understanding. They've worked me in day of multiple times when my cat was in distress and worked crazy hard to figure out what was wrong with him. I am so thankful to this practice, they've been so helpful during such a stressful time.

This the worst place to take your animals. After spending hundreds of dollars every visit, my dog is in worst shape than she was before. They only care about money not your pets.

Absolutely LOVE them! Always friendly and take amazing care of my dogs but they are extremely expensive. They gave me a quote of $1,600-$2,100 on a surgery for my dog so I took her to another vet that did the surgery for $900. I feel like they have really increased pricing since they first opened. I might still use them for shots due to them being so convenient but will not use them due to cost for anything else.

I brought my sweet baby in. His allergies were out of control. Chewing and scratching.. They are so sweet and helpful and listen to ur needs also financially.. They gave him a shot and allergy pills. I have to say in 2 hours he was being himself. Eating and playing!!! I am so shocked. Thank you all. Brittany was so very sweet. I am very thank full for her!!

The reason i am giving the vet on 4th only one star is because the medicine they gave my dog is fruit flavored and marhmellow flavored and they are both liqiud. Im having to fight my dog to give him the meds. Once i get like a lil bit in his mouth he start shaking his head badly. They only thing the vet told me was to keep trying to give it to him or mix it in something. My dog is 9 yrs old and its not fair to force him to take something. It would have been nice if they had a different flavor or pills to give him but they said thats the only thing they have besides spending more money to give him a shot. If i would have known the only thing they had was liqiud i would have taken him to a different vet.

I called them around 8:30 pm because my 11 year old cat had a painful injury to his leg. He would cry and could not jump up onto a chair. I asked the woman if I could bring him in as it was an emergency. The receptionist told me "sorry, but no because they only had one veterinarian in the building and they were in surgery." They referred me to the Emergency Vet on Gilmer thank God. I won't be going back to the Vet on 4th. This same thing happened to my mother about a month ago when her dog broke his foot. I should have known better.

I would give 100 stars if I could. We took in an injured neighborhood stray cat that has adopted us. EVERY vet, vet tech, & receptionist, has been extremely friendly, professional, caring and genuinely concerned each time we have brought him in. They have even checked on his healing process. I explained my financial situation & they have done everything they can to make sure he gets the care he needs without breaking me. They gave me the price upfront so there were no surprises after the services were already completed. I have taken pets to other veterinarians in the past who clearly weren’t concerned and my fear was they would see just a stray and not try to help him. I have never had such an amazing experience as the one at Vet on Fourth. My family and Dude appreciate you more than we could ever explain!! ????????‍⬛????

Thank God for this vets office. I had found an injured cat outside in my laundry room with its tail completely degloved: just bone and blood. None of the local vet offices were open for the weekend and being under a tornado warning, I wasn’t able to drive anywhere to get help. I called every vets office available, to discover The Vet on 4th in LONGVIEW, was the closet’s vets office to New Boston. I was greeted very welcoming and they set me up to come in early Sunday morning. They are open 7 days a week!! It was a long drive, but it was much worth it walking into this office and being greeted by enthusiastic employees ready to cater to my new cat. Tech Heather was extremely nice and treated my cat with care and made sure we felt comfortable in this facility. Dr. Dumeyer presented herself very confidently and was extremely articulate on what she planned to do and what she thought was best for my cat. A few weeks later I had to come back and was taken care of by Tech Heather and Dr. Johnson who answered every question I had with patience despite being very busy. This is by far the best vets office I had ever been to with the BEST staff I have ever encountered at any work place, not to mention its a beautiful and well taken care of building. I would recommend this facility to ANYONE with any issues with their pet or even just a regular check up. Thank goodness for our neighbors, Facebook friends, family and GREAT veterinarians.
