Overall the Vet Techs were dismissive, lacked expertise, had not looked at my kitten ‘s Vet records, were rude, and treated me with contempt. The ladies up front are terrific and very nice though. My newly adopted kitten had several visits here for shots, a spay, and follow ups, etc, because this was who the Vet Little Elm Animal Services used prior to my adopting her, and she had been very ill with several illnesses at the same time, including a virus, tapeworm, ear mites, and an ear yeast infection. Today I took her here for another shot, and I thought to also have her ears tested to make sure her ear yeast infection was gone. She did receive her shot, but they would not test or look in her ears to make sure the ear yeast infection was gone. The 2 vet assistants came in the exam room and told me the kitten needs to lose weight. I asked what she should weigh, and they said she should have gaine around 1 pound a month. She is almost 8 months old and weighed a little over 7 pounds, but she had just eaten. Her belly was distended and I mentioned that as soon as they walked in the room. I asked if she could have a medical issue causing the distention, because she had been so sick when I took her home after adoption. She was so sick this vet had me pick her up, because she was too sick to be spayed. They ignored me and insisted she was over weight and needed to go a dry food only high carb diet. I asked about her being a carnivore and the problems that carbs can cause in cats, and they had never heard of that. When I mentioned her prior illnesses, it was obvious that they had not even looked at her records. They kept insisting she was overweight and needed to go on a diet. But, they wouldn’t tell me what she should weigh or how much weight she should lose. They would not tell me how much high carb dry food to feed her. They just said read the bag. They would not give me any list of possible high carb dry foods that would meet their requirements. They did not take any of my questions seriously, and they treated me with contempt. Most vets will write a prescription for the special pet food for pets with issues. They did not address her distended belly. Update: I took her to Katy Trail Animal Hospital. Her belly distention had resolved itself without going in any high carb diet. I told them that Veterinary Wellness had told me that this kitten who was starved and emaciated when I adopted her was now overweight and needed to go on a high carb dry food diet. They examined her and told me she was absolutely not overweight and definitely not to put her on a high carb dry food only diet.

We've been to this office a few times, for two different pets. After adopting a dog a few weeks ago, we took him in to get an initial exam and, primarily, to discuss destructive behavior he was exhibiting that seemed to be connected to separation anxiety. The assistant, Megan (my wife verified her name, thankfully, because according to the website photo Megan is a cat with blue eyes) took down information before the vet came in and was, unfortunately, quite underwhelming. When we brought up the reason for our visit, we mentioned that we didn't know if he needed more time to adjust to the patterns in our home or some kind of calming medication, but we were open to discussing all possibilities in finding a solution. Without looking up, she immediately quipped "We're not going to medicated him," and went back to her typing. Again, we hadn't asked for medication so the terse response seemed a bit unnecessary. We were simply trying to say that we were open to their suggestions based on his behavior and exam findings. Dr. Kingkaysone eventually came in and we found her to be pleasant and professional. She did an examination of our dog and then tried to sell us some herbal anxiety supplements for him. We reluctantly bought them, and unfortunately they turned out to be worthless. A few days after having our home wrecked every time we left the house, we called the office again to let them know the issue was not resolved with the herbal chews. The vet immediately suggested - wait for it - that we medicate the dog. The medication worked and our dog now behaves beautifully when we're away. Looking back, we're more than a bit irked that the assistant tried to do the vet's job by telling us they wouldn't prescribe meds before the animal was even seen by the doctor. I don't know if the vet is aware of this person's behavior, but until this office hires someone who knows what they're doing we will not be returning. Edit: Way to ignore the issue! I am reviewing the correct office. We saw one vet. The visit was under my wife's name and we are not interested in hearing from you further, thanks.

I have taken three of my pets to doctor K and all three pets were not able to receive the help they needed from her. I had a half pit/half lab dog that had severe ear infection and because of his breed or the discomfort he was in, Dr k and his staff were not able to get his ears cleaned out and treated. I had to take him to Bansfield to get him the care he needed. My second pet was a smaller Yorkie that would go to Dr K for routine physicals she ended up having a complicated case which she was not able to initially diagnose her. I had to take her to another vet to come up with appropriate differential diagnosis, mind you the other vet was not a specialist but rather a regular veterinarian like herself. Dr K is kind, her staff and herself are great with communication however, I will honestly say Dr k is not seasoned enough to confidently come up with differential diagnosis. She constantly pushes patients to specialists which is fine and appropriate for diagnostics purposes however when you see your regular veterinarian you depend on their expertise. The fact that Dr K is young and the only vet in her clinic puts her patients at a disadvantage as she doesn’t have the opportunity to consult for educational purposes. I ran into a similar circumstance with my third fur baby and for those reasons I will not be taking my pets to her. On top of it all the fact that she is the sole vet at her clinic limits her hours of operation and puts her patients at a disadvantage. Overall I would only recommend Dr K for routine vaccines and very mild and simple visits. This review is very thoughtfully written and based on my 3 year exposure with her clinic.

I can definitely tell our pups love it there. They take excellent care of our fur babies. Lot of last minute emergency appointments were scheduled and they were able to accommodate us. I had an issue where I hadn't been able to get ahold of them and they quickly resolved it. Cost is reasonable. Very happy! Happy Pups, Happy Parents. :)

We took our new pup Wrigley for a check up a few days after receiving him, to make sure his shots were up to date and everything looked good. The staff and Dr. K gave us great information about puppy care and were so wonderful with the guy, I brought my other senior dog to see them the following week for a long overdue vet visit. She's normally very anxious, but they took great care of her and gave me info about transitioning her over to a senior regimen. The extra touches before sending their patients home is very much appreciated. Thank you guys!

I can’t think of a better place to bring my girl. Y’all treated Riley so well. She’s always nervous when going to the vet but y’all made her feel safe and welcome. I love bringing Riley in. It’s always a great experience. I still have her bag that says Riley (a beagle) on it. So awesome! Y’all ROCK! If you are looking for a great place you can trust with your little loved ones, this is it!!!

Unless you want to be told that your precious pups body is failing and it's probably best they be euthanized rather than finding a solution to their sickness followed by a treatment plan - Please do not bring your dog here. Save yourself the trip and find a veterinarian (and staff) who know what they are talking about. My dog that they highly recommended I euthanize is recovering from pancreatitis and doing great, simply because she was given the correct tests, proper care and treatment from a more professional and reliable veterinary clinic. **EDIT** Very professional reply with marking some of your words in caps. States true to how you treat your clients. Hours you say? It was an hour and a half you spent with us and half of that time was discussing euthanasia options rather than working hard to find a diagnosis as to what was causing my dogs sickness. I was the one that mentioned hospitalized treatment or other options for my dog - that was never brought up by your staff initially. Also, let me remind you that a pancreatitis test was never done by your clinic. You are absolutely correct, I chose not to bring my pup back to your clinic after such an appalling visit. Rather, I decided to bring her to another veterinarian and I count my blessings that I did.
