We have had the best experience with Coombs Stable, our trainer Abigail has been understanding, calm and able to explain and encourage our daughter to learn to ride. Our daughter is excited to learn how to barrel race soon.

Steer clear of this facility. If you value your horse and it's health do not entrust your horse to the care of the barn managers or the owner of coombs stable. I can tell from reading these current positive reviews that there are some major inaccuracies. Avoid this facility at all costs. It's not worth the money. Do your research on the owner through public records and you can also search through Facebook #coombsstable for reviews from former boarders and managers regarding this facility and the truth of how dangerous this place is and it should not be operating under the current owner. The property is over populated hay is not consistently provided in the pasture to support the number of horses. Expect fights and horses being wounded. This place is flood zone so forget about keeping shoes on your horse. Fences are broken and rarely maintained. If you have a stall shavings provided are not adequate and you'll have thrush 24/7. Expect to clean your own stall if you want it done right and buy your own shavings. Food quality is minimal lots of skinny horses out there. Only way to keep weight on your horse is to provide your own feed/alfalfa/supplements and feed it yourself. Water troughs are bone dry in summer and indoor horses with buckets are dirty and rarely refilled on daily basis due to the high amount of horses on the property and the teeny tiny amount of people hired to take care of the place burn out quick so expect a high turnover in barn managers. I've included photos of nasty wet stalls including my own which had mold and the amount of wet muck I pulled out in ONE cleaning when these stalls were supposedly being cleaned once every day. Do not be enticed by the boarding rates. You'll be extremely disappointed. Also not all horses on the property are kept UTD on shots. They had "no way" to keep up with the documents I was told. Last I heard over seventy horses on 20 acres. Google healthy pasture management so you can better understand these numbers.

We’ve gone through three trainers since may. The last two lessons scheduled we showed up only to be told the lesson should’ve been cancelled but we weren’t informed of it. Don’t waste your time or money getting lessons here. Something is seriously crooked.

I board a horse at Coombs Stable and have made great friends. The stable is ran at the highest level by the owner. The staff is always willing to help. Horses are cared for at the highest level. Great Place
