Canyon Lakes Veterinary Clinic Humble, Texas

Started going here a year or so ago and have been very pleased. When my cat recently passed, he was very compassionate and allowed me extra time before AND after the procedure. Wait time has also been way less than what we had previously, which is important when you have cats who don't want to be outside of the house anyway.

Dr. B is a wonderful caring vet. His prices are fair without trying to upsell us on everything. I highly recommend.

Nice and friendly staff. I called for an appointment and was able to walk in at 9am. My 6 week old POMERANIAN/ShiTzu had her 1st set of vaccines and was dewormed within 30 mins. Dr Briles was great with Bella

Breeder here. I’ve been taking all of my dogs and litters to Dr. Briles for about a year now and any time they’ve needed something or had an issue, Dr. Briles has been able to quickly diagnose and treat the issue successfully. I also bring all of my dogs and puppies here for preventative care. I’m usually seen very close to my appointment time with minimal waiting. This office is not the cheapest but it is affordable and worth the care and experience you receive. Highly recommend!

Dr. Briles is absolutely great! Every time we take our dogs and cat in, he knows exactly what they need. He is so friendly and caring with them. We had an issue with our big dog, Sarge, and we had to take him to the emergency vet in Humble. The vet there barely helped the situation and was rude and dismissive. We took him to Dr. Briles and our dog was taken care of quickly and recovered within a couple of days. We highly recommend this clinic and the veterinarian.

I took my kitten here a couple days ago for the first time to get checked and vaccinated and I'm very happy with the service received. The entire staff is friendly and helped create a calming atmosphere which allowed my nervous kitten to decompress. The Veterinarian that saw us was very knowledgeable and answered every question I had and I left confident in the care received. I will definitely return and would recommend this office.

I moved from Pasadena to Humble and I was very nervous about taking my dog to a new vet. However, my first visit here really impressed me. After a couple of visits I can assure you that the doctor and staff were are very friendly and welcoming. My dog doesn’t get scared, in fact he gets excited whenever he sees he’s doctor and the staff. I also like the fact that they send you a cute post card to remind you of your dogs due services as well as a text message to remind you of their appointment.

I'm new to the area, n they were able to see my pup same day on a Saturday, although they were very good with my pup, the wait time was a bit much, I waited an hour past my appointment time. Overall doc was friendly n sweet to my dog n called the next day to check up on her n even sent her a welcome letter in the mail, very kind.

We adopted a puppy from a rescue. We found canyon lake, and took him for an exam. He had parvo. The doctor, and staff started treatment immediately! We couldn't afford the hospital stay, so they treated him as an outpatient. They taught us what to do at home. On day four, he had made a full recovery! The doctor, and staff never gave up. They are the greatest team. We will always be grateful.

I don't write many reviews so I hope this review allows you to see just how much I love Canyon Lakes Vet. Dr. Briles and his staff are very kind, patient, and informative. I became a first time husky mom last year and my puppy was exhibiting symptoms of hip dysplasia. The first vet I took him too pretty much dismissed us and said puppies can't have hip dysplasia. My boyfriend then brought our husky to Canyon Lakes and from the start they took us very seriously. Unfortunately our husky was born with severe hip dysplasia, however, through care and the teamwork of Canyon Lakes and his hydro-therapist, our husky, Ovi is getting better and better each day! We appreciate Dr. Briles and his team for always being so patient and not hesitating to explain things in further detail, answering our questions, and addressing any concerns we may have. Ovi loves too see Dr. Briles and his vet techs. Thank you so much for your excellent service and all that you do!!

The staff and Dr. Briles were very pleasant.

I am a vet tech of almost 20 years and I'm currently staying home with my special needs daughter. To say that I am extremely particular in who I trust my furbabies with is an understatement! I have high expectations! I have been thoroughly impressed by Dr Briles. He is thorough, compassionate, gentle and knowledgeable, he's also personable and likes to engage in conversation! I also like that they don't charge an arm and a leg! That's important! You get above quality care for a very reasonable price! I appreciate that! Thank you Dr Briles for bringing this wonderful service to our area!

The vet is really amazing. The staff is super friendly. I will definitely recommend this clinic to everyone I know with a fur baby. They genuinely care about the well being of your pet. The vet spent a lot of time with us when our boys was having seizures talking about options and his lab work to make sure we understood. More time than any other clinics has spent with us in the past. They also called us to follow up about how he’s doing several times the week following. Not just once the next day.

Excellent all the eat around.

Very friendly staff, reasonable pricing, and time efficient as well. However, I do NOT recommend this vet for people with reactive pets that are resistant to handling. Restraining methods used here are very outdated, and consist of the "dominance theory," (e.g. alpha rolling) which has been thoroughly debunked. A fear-free vet will use a normal restraint keeping them on their feet, but never fear/dominance to restrain an animal. While the service was good, I will not be bringing my puppy here again, as he was in clear distress and whale-eyeing throughout the whole process as you can see in these pictures.
