I've taken two of my dogs here in an emergency. The staff is very nice and professional, and we were seen within a few minutes. The office is very nice. They don't try to upsell you stuff, and the prices don't break the bank. Of course, this is an emergency hospital, so they are not dirt cheap either, but I'm sure you get what I mean.

Last night around 11:30 pm January 24th, I was told they where supposedly full and the doctor was going into surgery. I ask how long and she told me a few hours but afterwards that the Dr was leaving to go home!!! Are you serious! I knew immediately that they just didn't want to accept us!! The lady at the front desk had a very nasty attitude! If I wasn't so concern about my furbaby, I would've gave her my time and give her my attitude as well!!!!! It took everything in me not to curse this lady last night! So that means this is not a 24 hour hospital if the doctor is going home!! I went to SUNSET and immediately got seen!! I'll recommend them at anytime!! Go to Sunset if you want immediately action taking!! They are very compassionate about your fur baby. Oh and their doctors don't leave!!!! They are there 24 hours!!!!

My dog was acting weird(walking funny, dribbling pee, vomiting) last night around 7 pm so I started driving to Westbury Animal Hospital. I called them to make sure they could see my dog and started describing his symptoms. They were able to help me over the phone and I was able to rest easy that night knowing how to take care of him(Turns out he ate some pot on our walk). I didn’t get the name of who I talked to but she is an angel to me. So courteous and professional. Thank you Westbury Animal Hospital!!!

My dog was having trouble walking and acting strange. Called to see if they were open. Told them my dogs symptoms and they gave a possible diagnosis on the phone. Said we could still bring him in to be seen but the phone diagnosis made so much sense. We discussed further and decided to wait until morning. Yep. Found my vet in Houston!

I bought my English Bulldog here due to him not feeling well, after finding out he had heart issues and his condition was inoperable I had to pay to have him put down. The cost to put him down was about $400. I was asked if I wanted to keep his remains for an (additional $250) I told them no. They contact me literally about 90 days later while I’m still mourning my fur baby, and tell me I owe a balance. I ask for what? I was told because I decided not to purchase his remains I have to pay the balance of them having to dispose of his remains. I told them this was not explained at the time of my visit or when I paid the bill otherwise I would have chose to keep the ashes being that the price is pretty much the same. Moral of the story I feel it was unprofessional and insensitive to contact someone months after their pet was put down to collect a fee that was not articulated at the time of the visit. To add insult to injury while speaking with management about my disappointment he seemed annoyed and uninterested in my feedback. Just go somewhere else because now that I think about it, my dog could have lived longer, they probably exaggerated his condition to make money just as they are doing now. Good luck to you though. Hopefully your experience is better than mine.

Animal hospitals can be a bit of a mixed bag, especially on weekends. So when my 9 year old Maltese suddenly stopped moving and started trembling when I tried to pick her up Sunday night, I was tempted to wait until her regular vet would be open on Monday. But after an hour with no improvement, I couldn't wait any longer. I'd heard good things about Westbury, but I'd never been there myself, so I decided to give it a try. And I'm so glad I did. They were very friendly and professional, explained all fees upfront and the doctor on call was there within 10 minutes. The doctor did a thorough examination, explained what was wrong and reviewed the treatment plan and medication (which they were able to provide on site). She was very knowledgeable and compassionate. After starting her medication last night, Luda quickly started feeling better and she was back to her normal self by this morning. I would highly recommend Westbury to anyone requiring weekend service for their pet. Thank you to their entire staff!

I had to take a stray kitten as i found her in bad shape under our car, luckily nothing I did but unfortunately the kitten was diagnosed with parvo and apparently was looking for somewhere to die and she just happened to be under my car. I cannot stress this enough EVERYONE at Westbury was amazing and caring. When even my own vet turned me away they took me in and looked after the kitten and were so caring and took the time to explain everything that was happening and what needed to be done. This was the first time I had heard from them and first time there but I know if i ever need anything for my own pets I won't hesitate to go to them. Couldn't be happier with their service and care.

Today I took my 12 months old Brittany for a GI problem and Dr. Kathleen Gressot was very informative and I felt very confident on her care to my dog. The technicians and check in and check out personnel extremely professional and empathy...

They always come out quickly when I drop my animals off. Good prices for daycare with reasonable time frames. My cat always has a good nail clipping experience as well.

I took our very special kitty here late on a Saturday. Everyone was so nice and the Dr. explained everything in such a way that I completely understood. Although they are pricey, they are an ER, they worked with me to find a plan for treatment that we could afford. I highly recommend!

I have nothing but wonderful things to say about my pet's impromptu visit this past Sunday for diarrhea with blood in the stool. Everyone from the front desk, the technician, veterinarian, and check out were absolutely lovely. There was virtually no wait time and they were able to get us in right away and addressed all of my concerns. I would definitely recommend them to anyone needing any after hours or weekend emergency services.

Initially, I was a little disappointed when I had to bring my puppy here to be hospitalized after testing positive for parvo virus, and I had to wait over an hour to be seen after paying the emergency vet fee. However, the team at Westbury Animal Hospital went above and beyond! I had only had my new puppy for 4 days and he began having diarrhea and vomiting. The day I brought him there, I wasn’t sure if he would make it. He was entirely too lethargic, was not eating and had constant vomiting and diarrhea. After 2.5 days in the hospital receiving IV fluids, antibiotics and antiemetics, he was able to be discharged and is now doing SO MUCH better. He’s eating normally, no diarrhea or vomiting and he actually wants to play like an 8 week old puppy. I cannot thank Dr. Walsh, Dr. Watkins, the vet techs/assistants and the entire team at Westbury Animal Hospital for saving Brock’s life and for providing exceptional care. Thank you again, and we will definitely be continuing to utilize them for all of our vet needs.

They were very kind and had a process designed to support me when we had to euthanize a beloved pet. It’s not cheap, but they are open 24/7 with good service and compassionate staff. I’m a loyal customer for many years

I visited the Emergency Room and I was favorably impressed both by the doctor and her staff on duty and by the premises. My cat, older and sickly, was well taken care for and felt better almost right away. The clinic will be my go to place when my vet practice is closed.

I took my dog here on a Wednesday night as an emergency. She was very weak and lethargic. Once we were in the back with the tech certain things didn’t make me feel comfortable but I won’t get into details. Once Dr. Kathleen Greassot comes in and I explain my dogs symptoms she informs me that she will take my dog for BLOOD WORK AND X-RAYS. I agreed and she took my dog. Once she came she showed me an ultrasound of what seems so be a “mass” on my dogs liver and she was bleeding into her abdomen. What does one think when the word “mass” is mentioned? CANCER. In my disbelief I asked her “my dog has cancer?!” She shook her head yes. I began to cry and told her I wanted to take my dog home. She replied “you can’t take her mom she’s bleeding into her abdomen” and basically told me I needed to euthanize my dog that night! And in that moment we asked for a second opinion. What things are wrong with this situation you may ask? 1. she told me she would do blood work and X-rays but once she saw the X-ray she refused to do blood work. 2. She told me my dog had cancer but she had no biopsy to prove that. 3. My dog was bleeding internally and her nor this hospital were apparently equipt to stabilize my dog NOR was it an option. (Yet another hospital did stabilize my dog) This was negligence! My dog is still alive by the way. Can you imagine if I would have trusted this doctors diagnosis and put her down that night?! Never going here again!

A bit pricy in my opinion, but they were available when my fur baby needed urgent medical attention. I am grateful for the great service and prompt medical care given to my baby. I would definitely return for any emergent medical treatment that my dogs may happen to need in the future.

As others have noted in these reviews, the way that they charge is extremely concerning and there is something very wrong about it. We took our sweet dog in because she had a seizure. They gave us medicine for her, we started to leave and our girl had another seizure. She had to be put on oxygen and she never came back home with us. They charged us for the medicine even though we did not take the medicine home, and our dog never came home with us. They also charged for additional time on oxygen. We have a text to our family saying when she passes and they charged us for much more time than she was using the oxygen. This entire experience was traumatic enough without having to fight to not pay for the medicine & additional oxygen that they billed for, that was not used. I do not recommend them at all.

I’m usually not one to review but this last visit left a very bad taste in my mouth and will not return nor refer any one else here. When I came in for emergencies the dr and staff were all great including front desk. I was okay with the fee since it was after hours. But today when I went in as a “walk in” as I’ve done every time I go. The front desk right away made it very clear it was an issue that I was a walk in. She let me know because I was a “walk in” my dog would only be able to get two shots not all that they need, the main one(rabies). I said okay that’s fine but I’ve never had that issue she then stated well you can speak with them in back to see if they want to give you the rest. I said okay that’s fine. Well one of my dogs is having bad allergies that is causing skin issues. So she went to say because I was a “walk in” that she can put me in for the shot but for the allergies she’s going to have to put me in as an urgent care appointment because they MIGHT NOT WANT TO SEE HER for the allergies because again “ I was a walk in”. In which that made no sense because it was during normal business hours at (1ish). I told her not to worry I was going to take my business else where. Since being a “walk in” was such an issue. I also called and left a message for the customer service manager and has yet received a phone call back.

Very helpful and informative staff. My cat orangie was having complications with her pregnancy and this place took care of her right away and even gave us some sound advice for aftercare. I'll be bringing all my pets here in the future. Also, very clean!
