Great service, work, pleasant environment and I know the owner quiet well and she loves dogs period and I trust her with my Tanner which says a lot.

Great people, you can watch your dogs on their cameras. Our dogs always come home safe and sound.

Phenomenal service. I exclusively bring my maltipoo for grooming here. Tried a few other places and either weren't consistent or left my pup either scared or uncomfortable. Groomer is great and follows instructions and gives advice. Staff is solid and usually a pretty quick drop off and pickup.

I did the dog grooming program and I totally recommend. Donna is a very professional instructor. She was always very attentive to making sure im doing grooming and pet handling the correct way. I appreciate all her attention and time and would recommend her to anyone wanting to learn or to have her to take care of your pet needs. The staff is so friendly as well

I absolutely LOVE this place and what they've done with my fur baby. I got my puppy in March and when she was finally able to get groomed, I originally took her to Fur Paws because of the reviews. She came out of that place scared of all dogs and blood shot eyes. I was so upset but I couldn't "prove" anything happened. Just that my once playful pup came out of a groomers place afraid of the world. It took a week before she would act her playful self again and 2 months before we could take her around other dog again without her screaming. SO when it was time for another groom, I took to reviews again and saw great reviews about The Dog House Pet Salon- on Washington but was hesitant something similar would occur again. When I went to pick her up the first time, she had the most adorable two little purple bows perfectly placed which I KNOW took forever because I've tried placing them on her. It's like trying to calm a toddler on a sugar high; so I immediately appreciated the effect. The Mats on her fur were taken care of so good I only need to brush her 1-2x a week instead of everyday. (I have a Maltipoo and doodle parents know the struggle) FRANCIE IS AMAZING! Must ask for her!! She's done my little one both times I've taken her. So I took her back today before she even needed it just because and she came out her playful, happy self looking cute as ever! I'm so happy and pleased with this place. We will definitely keep this location as her designated grooming place and will also now look into their daycare/boarding. Long story short- I've officially saved their # on my phone :)

Donna and her team are amazing people! I was a student for the grooming school this year 2021, and i am completely satisfied with my training. I couldn’t have asked for a better mentor! Their services are exceptional and they are very fast at doing a great job. I caught on quick and loved working alongside all of the groomers. I would bring my dog here ANY day! Thank you Donna for leading me to become the best groomer i can be :)

Never let your dog visit this place. My sister boarded (unsuccessfully) her dog before leaving town. Once we landed, my sister received a call from someone saying they found her dog roaming Richmond in the galleria area. My brother-in-law called the dog house about the dog escaping and they stated her dog was upstairs. Indeed, her dog had escaped and the Dog House had zero clue, despite the fact the person found the dog hours before we were able to receive their call (was on a plane). Do not trust them to watch your dog. While I rarely, if ever, post a review, people should know about their inability to watch, let alone account for whether they still have possession of, your dog.

It's always hard choosing a groomer when you're new in town. Additionally I have a sassy/anxious senior dog who is going blind. They did a fantastic job, I met with the groomer and they actually listened to me and all the concerns I had. The groomer was so nice to my dog, she was very precise with his cut. I had a great first experience and will definitely be going back.

We boarded our puppy with this establishment before leaving for vacation. We landed at our destination and immediately received notice from our vet that our puppy was found dodging traffic on Richmond, near the Galleria. Two very nice girls saw our puppy and picked her up to take her to get scanned at a near by vet. After contacting our vet and the two girls, I called the establishment to see what was going on (keep in mind we haven't heard anything from the establishment at this point). The receptionist told me that our dog was fine, and that she was upstairs in her kennel area. I asked them to go check please, because we had been informed that the dog was not with them and picked up running through the streets. After sitting on the phone for 20+ minutes (while they looked for my dog that wasn't there) they came back on the phone and said they couldn't find our dog and they had no idea when they lost her. I was never given a satisfactory answer to what happened, nor a simple apology.

They take great care of my dogs

They throw everything you give them including plastic bags and the entire weekends bag of food into the dogs kennel.

They have been taking care of our dog for 2-3 years. We wouldn't trust anyone else!

Absolutely it’s my responsibility to make sure my dog shots are updated and I try my best to keep up with them.Usually you guys remind customers of the shots and this time I was not given a courtesy reminder that my dog shots needed to be updated.I did enjoy the lady that groomed my dog and I’m sure I will find another groomer just as good as she was

Called the day before to schedule a weekday appointment for a nail trim. The pleasant young lady explained I “did not need an appointment” as dog nail trims take 5-10 minutes and are only done between 7am and 11am. Arrived the next morning at 7am, before work, to be met by another young lady at the front desk who stated the groomers usually don’t arrive until after 8am and I was welcome to wait. I immediately asked to confirm the nail trim walk-in hours (perhaps I misunderstood) and the employee responded between 7am and 11am. I’m okay with the groomers having the flexibility to come to work at a time that suits them; I am NOT okay with your quoting service hours KNOWING your service providers are “usually” unavailable during said hours. Total waste of time. Please set clear expectations (morning nail trims are drop off services that come with 1 free hour of boarding because that’s how long 7am customers usually have to wait) OR ensure at least ONE groomer is available during the hours quoted. Leaving my dog caged at the groomers for over an hour in order to receive a 5 minute service seems like an unnecessary inconvenience. Review breakdown: Zero stars for setting cloudy expectations + Zero stars for wasting my time and gas + Four stars for pleasant employees —————————- TWO stars total

This place is amazing! I recently moved here from Ga. and had a hard time finding the right place to board and groom my dog, Sasha. When I found this business, I was more than happy. It’s such a relief knowing that I can bring her here for boarding and not have to worry about her well-being. I LOVE that they have an app where I can watch my dog on camera during the day. Also, I am always impressed with the grooming services they provide for my girl. The staff is super nice, detailed, and professional.

A place with a big love and compassion for the rescued doggies of Houston. Donna and her wonderful staff volunteer their time to make them clean and beautiful for their new beginnings.

Recently graduated from Donna’s grooming school! My 12 weeks of training went by so quick. Donna is an amazing teacher and amazing dog groomer. It was an honor to learn from her and her fellow groomer Francy. Anytime I had questions or needed help, Donna and Francy were both right there for me and never made me feel bad about it. It was always a pleasant environment to be in. If you’re considering becoming a dog groomer, I highly recommend her program to learn under. I went there not knowing much and left with confidence in regards to my upcoming career.

My dog loved it, they gave her a little bow, i wish they had trimmed her nails a little more and her butt a little more even. But im sure she was struggling especially since it was her first time. We will be going back a lot.
