I went to PLD with my pup who is fearful aggressive. He seemed to really enjoy his connection with trainer Greg, and I do think that the lessons made him more confident. However, as we got further and further into our package, I realized the trainers would take short cuts as I like to call them. For example, the use of prong collars. The trainer suggested a prong collar for my dog, and while it worked temporarily, the positive punishment method did not do much to prevent leash pulling. My dog learned quickly that the pain was worth the reward (i.e. sniffing grass, peeing on trees, etc.). Before completing the package, it was decided by PLD that they would switch me over to trainer Kay. I was alright with that since my pup does need socialization opportunities, but Kay did not provide any helpful feedback besides that my pup and I had progressed a lot during training and I had the tools to succeed. My initial concerns about his fear and aggression were never addressed, so I am pretty disappointed. I have decided to move on to a different trainer and will see how positive reinforcement goes instead.

Do you want a place that will take care of your dogs probably even better than your self? This is the place. MY dog is very attached to me and she doesn't find it simple to stay away, but she really loved this place. I will definitely be back for another spa day for my baby!

My 65 lb. 7 month old chocolate lab, Knox, just competed 4 weeks of prep school at PLD. I couldn’t be more happy and impressed with the entire experience from my initial inquiry with Roxanna to the weekly trainings with our trainer Greg. Everyone is extremely professional, responsive to all communications and every trainer/handler that I met genuinely cares. I felt 100% comfortable leaving him there all day 4 days a week for 4 week. He will be boarding there for my first work trip and I will continue utilize their services exclusively for Knox. He loved it there!

Guess it was a good place to bring your dog if you didn't want to take him with you as you traveled,

Facility and staff are excellent. Ash was able to show us Reddington's ability to learn and to teach us how to work with him. He's happy there, and so are we!

Currently I am waiting for information about receiving a refund to my account. I made an appointment for a Private Lesson for 03/31. Due to some personal life events, I decided to cancel the lesson completely. I called on 03/22 at around 1200-1230 to ask about cancelling my lesson. I spoke with an associate, whose name I do not remember, and was told that I would receive a refund within 7-10 days after she spoke to a manager and got them to issue the refund. A day later, I checked my account and realized that the session was NOT CANCELLED even though I was told it would be the day before. I, foolishly, decided to cancel the session on 03/23 by myself on their client portal and waited on a refund. Fast Forward to today, I still have no refund. I called and spoke to Brittany who said that they HAD NO RECORD OF MY PHONE CALL OR A REFUND, and that she would have to speak with a manager AGAIN to get a refund issued to my account. Mind you, I have call logs to prove that there was in fact a phone call but because I cannot remember the name of the person I'm being stone walled. Brittany said that I wouldn't be able to speak with the manager UNTIL TOMORROW, I pressed the situation and said well how would I know if this is going to get resolved since it hasn't in the past. She then said that there was a manager there but that they were in meetings and that I should receive a phone call today so THEY "CAN DO MORE RESEARCH". I'm not sure what else they need considering I've provided all the information I can regarding the situation. I am now waiting on a phone call from the manager and I will update this review once that call has been received. Update: I received a phone call on 04/05 at 942 from Brittany and was informed that Aaron or Erin (the manager) has processed a refund and that I should see the refund in 7-10 days. I also received a call from Anna, the owner, at 943, who said that it was a glitch in the system (a zip code entered incorrectly or something like that) and followed up by saying, "we had every intention of giving you a refund." I had an doubt in my mind that I would receive a refund, I was just not given any information as what had happened. Brittany originally told me that there was no record of a phone call or refund but Anna told me that there was and it was just a glitch in the system. I have no idea what the chain of communication or system is like but all I know is that the issue is being resolved. Once again, I will change my review once I receive my full refund. Update Update: Later on 04/05, I received yet another phone call from Morgan, the manager, saying that she wanted to apologize for the entire situation. This was a nice thing to do but seemed too good to be genuine. 04/06 at 07/35, I received a Facebook message from Anna the owner asking me to remove my review since "the situation is now fixed." I haven't received my refund yet as it was just authorized yesterday. It takes at least 7-10 days, per the information provided by the staff. Anna: Hi Briana. I’m glad we were able to resolve the issue yesterday, I apologize if it was an inconvenience for you. I noticed you also left a Google review. Would you mind updating or removing the reviews? I can respond to them; but I thought I’d ask if you planned on doing that first. Please let me know. Thank you and all the best to you and your pup! I am beyond blow away at how insistent Anna is on trying to get me to remove my review. Also keep in mind, I posted my review and within a few minutes, I received the answers and help I had been asking for. It feels too convenient. Anyways, I am updating my review and will update once again after I receive my refund. As of 04/06, I have received my refund, which is much sooner than 7-10 days so that was nice.

We picked up our puppy and were lost for about 2 months. She was super difficult (our PLD trainer classified her as a top-5 most difficult dog she’s dealt with) and we were unprepared. Ashley was amazing and changed our lives. 6 months later our dog is well-adjusted and we’re able to expend energy on other things finally! We’ll miss Ashley now that she’s gone but we’ll keep going back to PLD to train our pup!

Katie is amazing! 10/10! She has helped us train our dog from early puppy training to behavioral corrections throughout her life. She is so kind and helpful, our dog just loves her too! We highly recommend Katie and her team at PLD!

Peace Love Dogs is wonderful. They changed my puppy from a nuisance to a beloved pet. So far we have competed the 6 week puppy training program and also a 10 day board and train. Worth every penny. We have also used the for grooming services and they did an excellent job!

Loved our session! The trainer was full of knowledge and so patient with our crazy pups. She taught us all so much in just one session. Can’t wait to book the rest of our sessions.

Buddy’s is our 3 month old Frenchie. His time at Peace Love Dog was fantastic. He is a very easy puppy to train and was doing beautifully at home, but he is our first dog and we really needed to have the guidance and help to make sure we were all on the right track. The trainers were very consistent, informative, kind and we loved getting Buddy’s progress reports every day. We will definitely bring Buddy back for boarding and if he ever needs more lessons to get back on track. The facility was very clean, and considering he was getting puppy training classes during Covid-19, they were very careful with drop off and pickup. Highly recommend.

Katie is a very good trainer. She is sweet and non-judgmental, and she got my people-shy Cattle Dog to love her very quickly. While the cost of private lessons is pricey, Katie has given me a lot of confidence and has offered really good and helpful strategies in just the few lessons we have had together. Additionally, Katie recommended that I stop doing lessons and update her if my dog's issues regress because she thought my dog was doing great and didn't need any more lessons at his pace. I think that's really awesome that Katie (and presumably the culture at Peace, Love, Dogs) is not at all about trying to get owners to sign up for the maximum number of lessons like I've seen other training facilities try and pull because they try to convince you that your dog is the worst and needs tons of help. I easily would have signed up for a whole package of lessons, but Katie does not want you to sign up for anything more than necessary, and she did a great job assuring me that I am doing great and that my dog is great. I really appreciate that! The only con is that they're very busy (but good!) understandably with the uptick in dog ownership, so it does take awhile before you can get an in-home lesson.

We absolutely LOVE Peace Love Dogs and our trainer Russell! We signed up our 8 week old pup for 30 days with Russell and it was the best decision we’ve ever made! In fact, we were so pleased with the results, we extended her training an additional 30 days and brought our younger pup in as well once she was old enough to start. Russell has been training them both and he is absolutely fantastic. It’s very clear that he is passionate about animals, genuinely wants them to succeed, and is so patient with our girls (and super friendly!) He writes out detailed report cards with lots of pictures and videos every single day outlining what they worked on that day. Highly recommend him! The entire staff is so friendly and easy to communicate with. The facility is also top notch, very clean and spacious with lots of training rooms, and has boarding and grooming options available as well. I did lots of research looking for a good day school/trainer and Peace Love Dogs is by far the best! Worth every penny!

Juno absolutely loves PLD and his trainer Steward! We are happy and sad at the same time that his training is over but he's grown and learned so much during his 30-day lessons. PLD staff is always friendly and Steward is very informative and helpful. Highly recommend this place. They genuinely care about the dogs! Thank you PLD for the great experience. Juno will miss everyone there!!!

Seems a bit pricey. The trainers are really nice and informative. But we've been through about five sessions now and haven't seen many changes

We adopted a “wild thing” (but cute) for a pup and were at a complete loss as to how to handle her. A friend recommended PLD and we took the plunge: a 30 day prep class. I am ever so very thankful we did. PLD equipped us completely and we are on our successful journey. And we’re back for more. The entire staff is exceptionally kind and supportive. They really do love their clientele. Our main trainers, Gracey, Julie and especially Greg, who handled our private lessons, were stellar! Greg had valuable responses for all of our concerns and all along, protected our dignity as I erred in some decisions and attempts at techniques. He is awesome! They all are. Oh, and our pup Emma adored them as much as we did.

After looking extensively for a place that encompassed training, boarding, and daycare for our puppy Arthur, we are so grateful that we found Peace, Love, Dogs. We took Arthur here for a basic skills training course and also boarded him for a week. The trainers are excellent and very knowledgeable. When we boarded him, they spent time answering my questions and giving me a tour of their brand new facility. I felt so at ease knowing that my dog would be in safe hands and would have a lot of fun. Arthur gets so excited when we pull into the parking lot and loves all the staff. We can't wait to continue taking future classes and lessons!

Highly recommend PLD. We have done a 6 week class as well as private lessons. Our dogs love going to class to see Katie and Simone and the new facility is wonderful!

As a fellow dog trainer and behavior consultant, I am happy to recommend Peace Love and Dogs. I recently chose to change boarding facilities and PLD graciously welcomed my two senior dogs. Everyone who cared for the dogs is trained in proper behavior care. They kept my dogs active and happy the entire stay. We received frequent online report cards and regular updates on social media. It was so joyous seeing how the dogs were doing while we were away.
