Where to even start... I have been taking my cats to Dr. Clive since I got them as kittens 8 years ago. When I married my husband, I started bringing our rescue spaniel here 5 years ago. Dr. Clive and his staff are the most friendly, professional, and patient (which is a huge plus, because I am definitely a helicopter pet parent). They caught my dog's mammary cancer, when her previous vet did not, and when my cat Jagger got sick 2 months ago, they went above and beyond to fit us in and get him care. We are preparing to move across the country, and I couldn't believe I hadn't written a review yet. I took my other cat in for his last appointment yesterday and it was so sad to say good-bye. Midtown Vet Hospital has set the bar very high for pet care. I hope that I can find a vet at least half as good in Louisville.

This clinic has been so great with my dogs and cat. I really appreciate the preventive approach that they take with treating them, because it has really improved my dog's quality of life (he has severe environmental allergies).

Had a great experience here. They accepted to see Ziggy my toy maltipoo upon an emergency. Doctor Richard was very knowledgeable and explained different pathways of treatment very clearly. The medication he subscribed worked quickly and efficiently. The nursing staff were also quite nice and helpful. So glad I found this place.

They saved my cat from the urination problems. He cannot urinate and kept on crying overnight and he is much better now after the treatment. The doctors and nurses are so kind and professional. As long as you are not on emergency this hospital is absolutely a good place to go!

Great staff, my animals love them

We had an amazing experience here. My dog is very high energy and skittish. I was very concerned about her being near other dogs and a large number of people. The staff took care to make sure the waiting room was empty before bringing us in, and promptly placed us in a room. They were amazing at calming her down, and making her feel comfortable in a new environment. Her vaccinations were administered efficiently, and many treats were given to make the visit a positive one. Vet appointments have been chaotic for us in the past, but this one left me feeling relieved and grateful that my dog didn’t leave traumatized. I also would like to touch on the sensitivity of finances. They took great care to make sure I was okay with the amount being charged, before delivering care. I appreciate this, as sometimes the charges can add up. I felt satisfied with the pricing, and felt that for the price I paid, I received a comprehensive examination of my pup’s all around health. I have lived in many states/cities, and have experienced many great vet clinics. I have to say, this one is superior to any I have been to. 10/10 care.

I have been taking my dog Roxie to this vet for months and we had scheduled an appointment at 7:30am for her to get fixed mind you the estimate they had sent us over email was $160 we got to her appointment and they had a form for me to sign with a estimate between $800-$900 THAT IS CRAZY I asked the vet why the average price to get your dog spayed is $100 and all she had to say was well I'm sorry but not here we will never be coming back again!

I've been taking my dog to Midtown Veterinary Hospital for a few years now. We love Dr. Clive! He is patient and kind, and willing to explain every option to us carefully when we have health issues (including pricing options, health options, and courses of action). He takes the time to answer all of my questions, and my dog loves seeing Dr. Clive!

Very thorough for my first visit. Staff was very friendly and saw me early.

I always say Dr. Clive saved my dog’s life. She suffered from chronic ear and skin infections for years that multiple vets couldn’t control. Medication and diet change and she hasn’t had issues in years. My dog is a senior now and we moved away, we still travel from Humble to Midtown vet because I trust them. Dr. Ferrer is always nice and thorough too and all the staff are always so nice. Thank you.

Always a great place to take your little ones

We just moved to Midtown and needed a new vet for both our dogs. Although I was nervous about curbside visits, it went very well. Dr. Clive and the vet techs did such a wonderful job. Dr. Clive came and talked to me outside and was very thorough in explaining their plan of care. We have seen multiple vets for the same issue in one of our dogs and no one, until now, was confident in knowing what was wrong and what we should do about it. In communicating with me, he also reviewed his assessment of both dogs in detail and that reassured me of his care. I can honestly say that he is the best vet we have ever had. I appreciate the level of compassion demonstrated from all the staff we encountered today.

I've been going here since 2015 with my first cat. They are always respectful and handled her with care. Maybe it may be a little more expensive than other vet clinics, but the experience and expertise makes it worth it. I love Dr. Lang and Dr. Clive.

Need to take my cat to another country right after the winter storms. Had a lot of exams and paperwork. And some roads were closed and the clinic was out of power But Midtown vet and staff made the trip possible. We kept receiving their support (both professional and emotional), even when we were in another country. Thank you, the whole Midtown team! We really appreciate all you’ve done to help us!

Dr. Clive and his team are honestly the best vet care we've been with. Since moved to Houston, we have switched between at least 3 different vets, because I didn't feel my dog was receiving the best care and service quality he deserves - until we found Midtown Vet. The doctors and the staff at Midtown Vet are extremely friendly, and you can tell that they genuinely care about your dog. They always give detailed examination to my dog, answer questions with patience, and, they do intensive follow ups just to make sure that your pet is feeling well. They treat you and your pet as the customers for life. I honestly feel so grateful that we have found Dr. Clive and his vet, as I am very confident that now my dog is being taken care of by the best hands in town.

I took my English bulldog here who had a skin infection and this is the first vet that has actually helped with his face folds and recommending food for his sensitive skin. Every other vet I’ve been to has never really given me a clear answer. The staff was so helpful and friendly!

One very scared cat rescued straight from the street had an excellent first experience, curbside style, during the COVID-19 pandemic. Dr. Clive and his amazing staff have also taken care of three of our dogs and one other cat and I don’t trust anyone as much as them. Excellent and thorough care.

Honest for sure! Our pet requires highly specialized service not available at Midtown. The vet referred us for specialized services, and did not charge for the consult.
