I have been a customer of City Paws Grooming for a year and a half and have had nothing but a great experience. Their prior and their current facility was very clean and nice. Their intake/check-in was fast. The quality of the groom is excellent and the price is fair and comparable to other groomers. The pick up/check-out process is fast as they call approximately 20-30 min prior to your pet being ready so by the time you arrive your pet is ready to go. The owners are amazing and love every pet that comes in Like their own! I am also big on supporting local, small businesses and this is one of the best!

Cannot say enough good things about the team at CityPaws. As first time doodle owners, we definitely have our hands full with all Suki’s curls but ever since her very first groom, CityPaws has been amazing. They’re extremely responsive and communicative before, during, and after the groom. They really work with what we wanted for Suki, which was not to shave her down, so they brushed out her matting and gave her breaks in between because she gets tired on the table. I’m very appreciative of their willingness to work with a dog’s needs, other groomers would just opt for a shave down instead of taking the time to brush the difficult hair out. Unfortunately, our dog isn’t very welcome to us grooming her ourselves, which results in matting in certain areas because of her really thick and curly poodle hair, and so they recommended that instead of every 6 weeks for a full groom, we come in for a maintenance groom in between her full grooms in hopes that she becomes comfortable and accustomed to being groomed enough that we will be able to maintain her coat between appointments at home ourselves. I have never once felt shamed or discriminated against about having a doodle like other groomers are said have done to others. It is extremely evident that CityPaws has the best interest of the dog they work with in mind. Attached pictures are of various cuts they have done for our dog, Suki.

We take our sweet Irish Doodle to City Paws and she always comes home looking so cute! My husband and I do not have any experience with dogs so she may be a bit spoiled and they are always so caring and patient with her!! We absolutely love her “spa days” and the entire staff is amazing!!

City Paws is the absolute best groomer in Houston! We have taken our golden doodle since he was a baby and they have done the best job ever!! No complaints ever, the absolute best.

City paws is absolutely amazing! I can’t imagine anyone ever leaving a bad review. My Ollie looks absolutely adorable every time he visits. If you’re debating on giving them a try, please don’t think twice. Take it from a VERY picky customer when it comes to my pup. The amount of time and detail they put into their work is priceless. Can’t imagine any other place better than CityPaws. :)

Treated a friend of mine horribly! Did not apologize for their actions! Poor customer service. Do better. If there’s certain things that need to be documented, let people know at the time the appointment is made!

I’ve taken my dog there twice and each experience has been very good. I really like that you have the online booking option and they have reminders for your appointment ahead of time for those who have a busy schedule. It’s sad to see that a few disgruntled customers are upset by the vaccine rules which keep our pups safe.

Literally called to argue with me after I left a 1-star rating because of the unprofessional behavior. The owner said that I need to keep better vaccination records and then argued about the first one star rating. This place is UNPROFESSIONAL! Stay away! Don’t bring your pet here!

TLDR: CityPaws is THE BEST! I’ve been taking my pups to CityPaws for over a year now, and they are amazing! I trust them with my dogs, they do the best doodle cuts and my dogs always come out looking exactly how I’ve asked, and their customer service is great. I’ve been impressed with their customer service for several reasons including: 1. The first time I took my pups there, the owner called me after I dropped my dog off to make sure the groomers knew EXACTLY what I wanted 2. As one of my pups has gotten older, he’s developed some issues with anxiety at the groomer. Danni kindly and professionally let me know they’d experienced some trouble with him, and offered some alternatives we could use to make the grooming experience better/easier for him which I EXTREMELY appreciated 3. Recently, when a hurricane blew through Houston and knocked out our power, I was unable to get my dogs in for their appointment and they let me reschedule with zero hassle A lot of the negative reviews I’ve seen posted are about people being upset because CityPaws will not groom their dogs due to lack of flea/tick prevention or lack of vaccinations. I have paid a lot of money for my dog’s vaccinations and flea prevention to ensure my dog’s safety, and I appreciate the measures they have in place so that while they are in their care, we as owners have nothing to worry about.

I have taken my dog Zoe to City Paws for a little over a year now and we absolutely love them! The care and customer service is amazing and I always refer them to my family and friends. Even though I don’t live in Houston anymore, whenever I visit, I always try to get her an appointment to get groomed. On Zoes first visit, the owner was very thorough and communicative, especially when it came to how I wanted Zoe groomed. Zoe always gets groomed by Judith, she is AMAZING! Also, The precautions they take to make sure your dogs health is a priority and will be safe is above and beyond. It puts me at ease as a dog owner when I drop her off knowing she’s in good hands. I HIGHlY recommend them to ANY dog owner that lives in Houston.

After searching for a good groomer in Houston I finally was able to find City Paws❤️ The place is so cute & very welcoming. You are greeted by the welcoming committee which consists of wonderful playful pups who come greet you & your fur baby! The owner was very kind & helpful. We were able to drop off our Eli (miniature poodle) & feel comfortable that he was in good hands, being taken care of by professional groomers who take pride in their work. We loved how our baby looked with his new cut & was SUPER relaxed since he napped the whole car ride home????. Love city paws ???? can’t wait for our next appointment. ????

Absolutely AMAZING!! Cannot express how happy I am with the service and professionalism of the entire crew. Brought in a giant schnauzer as a puppy and they made sure to take the introduction to grooming process very slow. On top of their amazing care and patience with our pup, he comes out looking amazing every time! Truly the best all around.

This place has been great for my puppy! Danni the owner takes the time to ask questions about what you like and also explains the way they do things, so I felt at ease knowing he would be in good hands (also have met with Stephen there, and he is wonderful!). It's important to me to have a groomer be compassionate, patient, understanding, and also achieve the aesthetic preferences of the client. They take their time there and go at the pace of the dog's comfort level; nothing is rushed. My dog looks so handsome and happy each and every time. Professional, clean, welcoming environment. Highly recommend this place!

CityPaws did a great job with our dog, he's never looked so handsome! They were very communicative and groomed him exactly how we wanted. At his previous groomer, my dog would get stomach issues after due to anxiety, but he was fine after the grooming at CityPaws. We'll definitely be back!

My previous review seems to have been deleted or is hidden. Beware of this place - they don't mind wasting your time. Please see below for your convenience: We just relocated to the area from out of state. Called, made appointment, asked what they needed and they said fill out our new client paperwork (6 pages of forms, a bit absurd) and email us vaccination records. Anyway, done. Emailed all in an hour before our appointment. 5 minutes before appt (we’re almost there) they call and say they require all dogs to have monthly flea & tick treatment which we do not - our dog is 15 and we have not once visited a groomer that had this requirement, guessing they don’t care to clean adequately on their own to prevent outbreaks and push the responsibility onto owners instead. They ask us if we do a monthly treatment, we confirm we do not because our dog is a senior and doesn’t get out much - they put put us on hold to see what they can do - come back a few minutes later and say they will take her for her appointment if we pay for an extra flea and tick bath (unnecessary) and monthly flea treatment treatment for an extra $80 or so, we agree to what they require without any argument because we need our dog groomed that day and we’re on a tight schedule, they say they need to get confirmation AGAIN that this will be enough for them to take our dog - I respond with “we just agreed to your terms, why do you need to confirm again? We are one block away” Without a moment’s hesitation, the woman on the phone decided to “flex” her dog groomer receptionist muscle and tell us with her unnecessary sh**ty attitude that “you know what, we won’t take you today, you can just come in tomorrow instead” (as we are pulling into the parking lot). WE JUST AGREED TO JUMP THROUGH MORE OF YOUR HOOPS and you’re postponing our appt for no reason as we are pulling up to your business??? No thanks, there are tons of other groomers in town. Get off your high horse, you’re a dog groomer, not a country club. Respect your customers and their time.

They did such a good job with my little guy! Listened to what I wanted and I have zero complaints! The place itself is so quiet and clean. They are very friendly and seem to really care about the dogs which is so reassuring! Highly recommend!

The lady that spoke with had an attitude as if I did or said something! The only question I asked was what time do you guys close yes I understand the by appts only but I still wanted to know around what time the place close! She was so rude and hung up in my face I really hope she’s not the owner I would never trust my fur baby with her alone.

City Paws grooming is the exact definition of amazing customer service and quality. I actually booked an appointment in March when there was a lot of uncertainty. However, their communication was beyond exceptional and they were able to squeeze me in whenever they safely could. They described the process extremely well and helped ensure the safety of their staff and for us, as well. Even through the chaotic times, the quality of grooming was better than I could have imagined. Don’t look anywhere else, this place is the very best.
