Best veterinarian hospital I have seen in a very long time and not just because I just started working there, but because the love and compassion they have for every pet, pet owner, pet rescuer and employee. Also for the first time in years I can say a actually love my job, the people that I work with, and I can't wait to go to work. On the same day I got the offer to come work for them moments before I was offered another job somewhere else that offered more money, however I am so tired of the corporate life and wanted to work somewhere that valued people over money and I think I made the best decision 100% These people are amazing and they are constantly trying to find better ways to improve not just for the pets and people they serve but also the employees that work for them! I am proud to be a part of the CHAH family! Hope to see you there!!

I have my English Bulldog doing rehab and hydrotherapy at CHAH with Kristina and we could not be more in love! The facility is sparkling and new, smells lovely and there is such a positive aura every time we walk through the door. Even for a dog who is officially a grumpy old man, Kristina and Dr. Marziani give such love and attention to each patient that they have won him over. He even walks on the under-water treadmill now. We are huge fans and highly recommend CHAH for rehab if you need it for your pet. They also explain all package options and costs up front to you so no one is caught unaware as to the price of their services. I never wanted to have my dog need rehabilitation therapy but we have found the best place that it could happen. ❤️❤️????❤️❤️

Drove 3 days all the way from Atascocita (>20mi) for Lucky to be treated here. My cat has extreme anxiety and depression when I am not home at night. Other 24/7 emergency vet's were either full, or one required her to be hospitalized and on an IV until they could give her an ultrasound 6 days later. CHAH was able to give Lucky an ultrasound the same day (I was lucky that their radiologist was scheduled for that day), and they aloud me to take her home at night and bring her back at 7 the next day. The other vets did not get that Lucky staying the night at the hospital was a deal breaker. Lucky and I are still working through her health issues, but in the worst case, they gave me extra time with her (literally, the day before we went here, Lucky's vet advised I put her down after 3 weeks of treatment). After 3 days, she feels her best in a month. Price wasn't my concern, but I understand to many it will be. Dr. Faulkner was upfront with prices, made sure I was comfortable with their expectations, and they actually came in below their estimate.

Pet Heaven on earth! Shame on me for not being able to mention all the people that work there by name. They all deserve recognition. Any time I take Bentley he is welcomed by everyone, literally everyone. Bentley(Jack Russell mix, SUPER energetic) can be a handful but those guys really love when he visits. Recently took Bentley to get hematoma removed from his ear and everything went smoothly. Dr. Faulkner was very professional and informative. They have a great team there. Rest assure your fur-baby is in good hands!

AVOID THIS PLACE. ONLY CARES ABOUT MONEY AND NOT PETS. Dr, Faulkner is the worst!! Avoid this place if you care about your pets. THIS PLACE ONLY CARES ABOUT OVER CHARGING CLIENTS AND NOT ABOUT THE PETS. I have been a home owner in Montrose for over 15 years and have been taking my 2 cats to the facility since I moved here. Well, my 11 yr old male kitty Peter gets sick, throwing up, not eating, lazy, and I was rushed my cat to the place...they are down the street. Well Faulkner was the only doc available and she was the worst. Ran useless test, she had no diag. for what was wrong with Peter, just ran test after test after test. To this day, she provided no diag. or cause for what was wrong with the cat. I paid over $1,500 in 2 days for this cat!! NO lie!!! Cat came home still sick after all that money. She was rude, told lies about my kid and I when we complained about her lack of knowledge of the illness. She DOES NOT HAVE ANY ANIMAL SKILLS and is UNPROFESSIONAL. She does not have a full grasp of pet illness, avoid this lady. Usually I support women and minority professionals...but this lady is garbage. She's dishonest, lack grace, and is very insecure/no professionalism. We had to google and get help from other vets to help my kitty. This place only cares about the money, I've warned you. They will run up the bill and do whatever they can to get as much money out of pet owners as they can. You've been warned. They prey on our love for our fur-babies.

Dr. Faulkner removed three tumors from my beloved pet rat. I was nervous before the surgery, but it’s been a week, and my rat is recovering beautifully. The incisions are neat and clean, and my rat is moving around just like she was before she developed the tumors. Dr. Faulkner showed sincere concern for my rat and followed up to see how she was doing. I would recommend Dr. Faulkner to anyone with a small rodent!

I had a great experience with Dr. Faulkner and the staff at CHAH! I brought my dog in to get neutered and they made us both feel extremely comfortable. While he was recovering, the staff made sure to keep me updated on his status and even sent pictures to show he was doing well. I also highly recommend the groomer as she has done a great job keeping him happy and clean!

I am very happy with CHAH. Dr. Smith has been fantastic ever since she treated my dog after he got sick while being boarded. Very smart and friendly staff.

That's correct. I had to take my dead pet to be cremated somewhere else. My review was solely for the high price regarding that service at your hospital. That's why I deleted my review. I thank you for your fast response to my review, and hoping you'll consider lowering your prices in general, especially during these Pandemic times

Angelo is an excellent vet tech & went the extra mile in helping me with appointment details and advice. I appreciate his attention & ability to accommodate special needs for my elderly border collie. Thanks!

I have nothing but praises for CHAH! The level of care given is ABOVE just standard and starts from the time you call and speak with one of the office/accounting/vet tech, groomer, or any of the 3 veterinarian’s. Ive called to ask a question more than once and Felicia and Angelo were able to answer it. Angelo happened to answer the phone when I was in a state of panic regarding my new puppy that was having surgery in Dallas with an orthopedic veterinarian surgeon due to a broken femur. He spoke to me with care, patience, sincerity, and empathy. He listened to me cry, helped calm me down, gave me hope and valuable information and talked to me like a supportive close friend. My 8 week old puppy I had for 2 days wasn’t even being treated by CHAH. He picked up on my distress over the phone and took the extra time ( I am sure he didn’t have to give ) to comfort me. That act of kindness I’ll never forget. I’ve experienced this before when calling and Felecia was able to answer my question, put my mind at ease when I was overthinking if I should bring one of my dogs to be seen. Dr. Natalie Smith suggested a new service the office provided, when I happened to run into her outside of the vet office and asked her a question about one of my dogs. I took her advice by making an appointment for a laser therapy session that she said was a game changer on other patients suffering similar worn out joints/scar tissue from previous trauma/ or just old age. Her genuine honesty about initially being skeptical when she first considered adding this service but immediately saw results proved true. My rescue Malamute Wolfe had joint pain and trauma from being abused the first 2 years of his life before we adopted him. His pain was gradually started to get worse. The difference after in session was as if he was 5 years younger. The cost of the sessions I couldn’t believe was more than affordable to say the least! Cary, the Groomer, has been grooming my dogs for 3 years. She takes her time, is knowledgeable at what she does and suggested a specific bath for Colin, who has very sensitive skin. They both have thick long coats and she cares enough for my dogs by giving them several breaks when they get groomed because she pays attention to their needs and that they get tired because of their coats. It means so much to me knowing she isn’t just doing her job, she’s making sure my animals best interest is taken into account when being groomed. Hands down I can’t express how thankful I am knowing they are taking care of my fur babies!

Dr. Faulkner has a huge heart for animals. We are so deeply grateful for her! Our beloved pup, Evie, has some special needs when it comes to getting comfortable at the vet clinic. Our previous vet was extremely rigid and unwilling to make concessions to help us all get Evie the best care. Our trainers at the Texas Dogfather recommended trying Dr. Faulkner. We couldn’t be more grateful for her. She has gone above and beyond for us. Evie also has worked with Dr. Reid and she was equally wonderful. If you are a crazy dog parent that loves your fur baby, look no further. In my experience, the reception has been extremely helpful to us and more than kind on the phone. Remember that this is an extremely challenging time for everyone. They are having to find ways to disseminate information to pet parents, keep everyone happy, and keep everyone safe! We love CHAH. Take it from us- we are not easy customers! They are wonderful! - Love, Evie, Haley, and Greg Lempel

Carrie has been our groomer for several years. We live near Cypress but make the drive in for her excellent work. Our two labradoodles Abby and Maya are always well taken care of and come back looking great!

The customer service at the animal hospital is terrible. Julia R had a disgusting attitude and was totally unprofessional. I ended up leaving and not even completing my appointment. I'm sorry, but there are plenty of other places in town where they are polite and amiable. When I got home I made an appointment with, Fur and Feather Hospital on West Gray. What an total difference in the tone of the call. It's like they WANT customers! Don't waste your money here. Service is subpar. I ended up calling CHAH back to speak to a manager and complain. Towards the end of the call the lady has someone speaking to her, she doesn't even ask me to hold, instead just places the call on hold

Yea, not a fan of this place. I read the reviews and they suggested good medical treatment, but poor staff service. I thought everyone has a bad day and went by with my dog vet papers as I have just moved from Austin. No dog in tow. I arrived and one of the ladies behind the desk didn't greet me, she shooed me out. No "welcome to Houston Animal Hospital," it was "go outside and wait" with a hand gesture that treated me like an unwanted pest. I told her I'd just go someplace else and she clearly didn't care. So I went to Montrose Veterinary Clinic, and oh my, what a different experience - they were SO nice!

I initially contacted this vet early in the morning to make an appointment for my 14 year old cat who was having some urinary issues. I reported something that I noticed during the phone call and was followed up with by Angelo I think his name is and he was super professional in how he handled the problem. The manner in which he rectified the issue alone is definitely the reason why I am thinking of making them my primary vet for my cat to live out his senior years.

The vets there are great but unfortunately the staff leaves much to be desired. After multiple issues with them, I'm finally at the point of having to find a different vet office. Once, I showed up for an appointment only to learn that I had a "drop off" scheduled by mistake instead and the receptionist had an attitude as if it was somehow my fault, time off taken from work for nothing. I received discriminatory attitude from another receptionist when I refused to schedule full vaccination for my pups which, by the way, was recommended not to be done by one of the vets due to a pre-existing condition. Getting a prescription sent to your pharmacy is like mission impossible there. I sent an email requesting one which, of course, was ignored. Then I get a call from my pharmacy informing me that the vet's office is now refusing to provide the prescription for the full year because now too much time has lapsed since the test. Great, why then the prescription never made it to the pharmacy at the time of the test in the first place?

I run a dog rescue and Central Houston and it vets are the best in town. They are so diligent, loving, focused with each dog. I have now taken my own dogs there for 9 years and my Mother has moved her dog to Central too as she realized their care was the best she'd ever seen. All of the vets are amazing women and know veternairy medicine better than any primary vet I have ever used. I can not say enough about how wonderful they are!

I visited this place last week. The staff was very nice and friendly. I brought my furbaby in to see the vet. Janie my nurse was super sweet. She was very knowledgeable and listened to me just rant on about my kid. I loved her. My dog loved her. The only reason I scheduled a follow up appointment was because she explained to me the importance of it. Thank you so much Janie.

I was surprised at how easy it was to bring my puppy Jack in to be seen for the first time. Even though I couldn’t physically come in with my puppy because of COVID-19 and their paws only for the safety of their staff and myself. From my first phone call to the end of my visit with Dr. Holmes was very easy and thorough even though I didn’t get to meet her in person. Her technician Angelo really helped put me at ease when bringing my puppy inside the hospital and then back to me :-)

What a wonderful place! My Westie has Westie Lung Disease, and Dr. Natalie Smith was willing to try an experimental treatment using cold laser. I was supposed to lose my boy over a year and a half ago, and he’s still doing well. This staff is caring, warm, and genuinely concerned about your pets. Thanks to all of you including Desiree, Felicia, Jasmine, and Alec. I wouldn’t go anywhere else.

Been having chronic issues with both my cats using a different vet. One had an ear infection for about a year, and the other had crystals in her urine for about 6 months and wasn't getting resolved. A few visits at this place and both my kitties are cured!! yes, it was $$$ but my previous vet's lack of care caused my kitties' condition to be worse than expected. So i'm happy to have spent the money to have 2 healthy kitties. Thank you to the staff!! Would recommend to anyone because of the level of care and communication.

I had been taking my dog to the same vet for 7 years but had been only mildly impressed for the last couple of years. I particularly didn’t like my last visit there in 2019 due to a rushed visit with new doc and lackluster interest in what was really going on with my dog. So I decided to try this place based on a recommendation and they were fabulous! Took their time, read ALL of Jinx’s medical history, and were super down-to-earth and personal. Both Jinx and I are thrilled that we have a new place for vet care.

Thank you Dr. Natalie Smith! I had to take my 10 year old female boxer in yesterday. I was not a client but a friend recommended Dr. Smith. So I called yesterday in a panic and I was able to see Dr. Smith the same day. She was amazing! I was expecting the worst outcome for my poor Zoe but she Dr. Smith took very good care and was extremely thorough. Zoe was a lot better last night and is still in good spirits this morning. And the added bonus, the clinic just called me a few minutes ago to see how Zoe was doing. I couldn't be happier with Dr. Smith and the staff at Central Houston Animal Hospital. ❤️????
